PART FOUR:

Prodding and injecting and experimenting. Pain was all she felt. Keeping her dull grey eyes squeezed shut to avoid the gazes of the scientists--more like sadistic pigs.

She would not show her fear and pain that her eyes revealed to them. She refused to give them that satisfaction.

She was brought to this lab everyday to be prodded and jabbed at with their uncleaned tools. Every time they would do the same thing. These practices went on for days on end, giving the girl time to think.

She thought while she was being experimented on and she thought while she was in her cell held captive. Every single time, she would plan her escape route out of this hell hole. She would get out of here for him, she promised.

She also promised to never leave his side, and to keep him safe...

Waking up in a sudden jolt, Andrea realized that she had fallen asleep in the passenger seat of her brother's car. She had been tired, she always was. It was either from lack of sleep, nightmares, or all of the training she did. In some cases it was talking, oh how socializing had drained her.

Looking over at his sister with a worried but knowing look he asked, "You alright there? I know it m--"

"Don't. I don't want to here it from you. You know it happened long ago, there's no need to bring it up now," she sternly said.

He turned his attention back to the road, "Right, sorry."

It was silent from that point. Clint would give his sister frequent glances. There was nothing he could do about her condition. He had so much respect for her. She went through too much throughout her life time, more than anyone should've.

She would not give in and share her emotions with him, he knew this. His sister was never good at expressing what she felt. She was always more comfortable with just closing people off, keeping what she felt on the inside bottled up.

Honestly, she couldn't recall the last time she shed a single tear. She was made of stone, it would be a miracle the day someone could break through that barrier that she had up consistently.

Often times she questioned if she was a robot. Not really feeling anything at all and struggling with the concept of showing emotions on her face, it could've very well been a possibility to her.

Becoming irritated with the awkward silence that they shouldn't have been sharing, Clint retrieved his IPad from his bag in the back seat, having stopped at a stoplight. "Here, this is all the information you need to know about the members of t--"

She had a knack for cutting people off; "I already know everything about them, and who we are picking up as of right now. Wanda Maximoff. Age twenty, had a twin, Pietro Maximoff who died in battle. Harnesses the power telekinesis and mind control. She also inherited the new ability of flying. Considerably bright, although has too much emotion. And lastly, seems to have more power than she herself can control." Andrea smirked at her brother.

Clint scooffed, "Stupid over-achiever." Subtly, so he thought, Clint started imitating his sister, failing greatly and trying to copy her voice. At this Andrea cracked a slight smile. "Holy shit!" Clint exclaimed as if there was an actual real emergency.

Andrea's eyes widened as she questioned, "What?! What happened?!"

Clint gave a small chuckle at her paranoia, "Nothing serious. Chill, little sis. I was just expressing my shock that I, Clint Barton, got the Andrea Barton to smile."

Andrea then rolled her eyes, playfully punching her brother's arm, "Shut up, you pain in the ass."

He mocked hurt, "I'm truly hurt by your words." He started rubbing the spot where she had punched him, "On a more serious note, though, that punch actually really hurt."

She chuckled then, mumbling, "Wimp."

Clint just smiled at the notion, realizing once again that his sister was starting to open up to him a bit again. Slowly but surely she would find her way back to the way she used to be--Clint just knew it.

Parking the car, Clint said to his sister, "Just stay in the car, alright. I should be back in no time."

Unbuckling herself then, Andrea argued back, "You're kidding yourself if you think I'm letting you in there alone. You do understand who you're up against, yes?" She took a long pause noticing the look on his face, idiot. "Practically a fucking robot who has the power of one of the many shitting infinity stones, you imbecile!"

Clint grimaced, well of course he knew that. He just didn't exactly have a plan to execute when retrieving the girl with an accent. As if reading his mind, Andrea pestered, "You don't even have a plan do you?" He looked at her, gazing into her knowing glare, "Oh my god, you truly have a death wish. No more arguing, I'm going in there with you. No if's, and's, or but's."

Clint rolled his eyes knowing he had lost this argument, as usual. It was rare you ever experienced Andrea losing an argument.

Gathering her supplies from the trunk, Andrea said to her brother, walking up to him, "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go!"

He took one last glance up at the heavily guarded facility, once again finding himself smiling to himself, just like old times.

Then he started jogging, catching up to his sister who of course had already hacked the the security system of the building, while simultaneously taking out the guards. Oh well.
