Ch.6 Nagito
~Y/n pov~
There was a new island to explore. Apparently, Monomi defeated one of the Monobeasts.
I hadn't seen Nagito but he was probably somewhere. Monokuma told us there was a traitor...but can we really trust anything he says?
The day was pretty uneventful as we were mostly exploring the new island and looking for clues.

I headed to the dining hall and sat a table with Chiaki.
We were both quietly eating, the only noises being out chewing and the click of buttons coming from her console.
"Who else could it be? Nagito is the traitor!" Nekomaru yelled.
I started listening to their conversation.
"What about the other part? Where you said he was tied up and couldn't move..." Hajime asked.
Nekomaru started to sweat nervously, "CRAP! What do we do, Kazuichi?"
"Don't rope me into this!" Kazuichi yelled back, "They'll find out we worked together to..."
Hiyoko chuckled, "You guys are both idiots."
"What do you mean?" Mahiru asked sternly.
Mahiru had become friends with Hiyoko after yesterday. Hiyoko couldn't tie her kimono sash so Mahiru offered to help her.
I decided to cut into the conversation, "You know, he's going to starve and then you'll be a killer."
They both started to sweat nervously.
"Oh shit!" Kazuichi yelled.
"Where is he?" Hajime asked.
"Why should I tell you?" Kazuichi yelled.
"If you're not going to untie him we need to at least bring him food." I stated.
He frowned, "Ugh, fine! He's in the room where we had the party."
I nodded walking off. I grabbed some food and put it on a tray before heading to where he was supposed to be.

Monomi stopped me at the entrance of the old building.
"This old building is being renovated! You can't go inside!" She exclaimed.
"Then, why is Nagito inside?" I raised an eyebrow, "Well, that's not important right now. If I don't bring him this food he'll starve."
Realisation struck Monomi, "Okay, I'll make an exception for you."
I simply nodded and walked past her.
When I reached the door, I hesitated and took a deep breath.
As soon as I pushed open the door, Nagito's head shot up to see who it was.
"Y/n? Did you come to feed me?" He smirked.
His hands were handcuffed together and a rope bound his legs together.
I smiled softly, "Uhh yeah...it's probably been a while since you've eaten."
Shuffling towards Nagito, I placed the tray down in front of him and sat near him.
"Ah...I can't eat like this.." he muttered, looking at me expectantly.
"Yeah yeah..." I grabbed his arm and pulled him up into a sitting position.
He shuffled a bit and then leant him weight against me so he could stay upright.
I tensed slightly before relaxing.
"Are you going to feed me?" His warmth breath hit my neck.
My cheeks went red, "Ah...yes of course."
I shifted to face him, his weight still leaning on me.
The atmosphere felt awkward.
I picked up some food of the tray and brought it up to his mouth.
Nagito bit a chunk out of it and hummed in content.
Eventually, he had finished all the food.
"You must've been hungry..huh?"
He hummed, before resting his head on my shoulder.
"What are y.."
Nagito cut me off, "Thanks for coming to see someone as worthless as me."
"You're not worthless." I frowned, "Actually...I like spending time with you.." I smiled slightly.
Nagito nuzzled his head into my neck and then just sat there in silence.
I was about to get up to leave, but Nagito pushed all his weight onto me so I couldn't move.
"Please, don't leave." He looked at me with pleading eyes, "At least...stay a little longer."
He looked so vulnerable.
I slowly wrapped my arms around Nagito's waist as he pressed himself into my side.
Reaching my hand up, I combed my hand through his fluffy hair. I couldn't resist the urge it looks so soft.
Nagito didn't seem to mind and leant into my touch.
Some time passed and we just talked about anything and everything.
Then, an announcement played.
"Students, head over to Jabberwock park as quick as you can."
"I should go.." I mumbled, pulling myself away from Nagito's warmth.
He whined from the loss of warmth.
"I'll tell you what happens later...it's probably another motive. Oh, it'll probably be cold to sleep here so I'll bring you a pillow and some blankets."
He smiled, "Please come back later then."

"Hey, where the hell is Monokuma!? Get outta here." Fuyuhiko exclaimed.
"Okie dokie! Thanks for waiting." Monokuma popped out as if waiting on cue.
"If this is something foolish, know that I will send you remains to this beast!" Gundham exclaimed.
Monokuma stared at us blankly, "Huh? You haven't noticed yet? The reason why I summoned you guys...If you look closely at this park, you should be able to notice."
"You mean the arcade machine?" I asked.
"Bingo!" Monokuma yelled.
Chiaki's eyes lit up and she bounded over to it, "Hey, what's the game? What games are on it?"
"I've only prepared one game, but it's truly...a gem." Monokuma smirked, "After all, it's a game that I personally created."
Hajime furrowed his brows, "Huh?...You did?"
Sonia smiled politely, "Then...it is not something I could possibly look forward to playing."
"No no!" Monokuma glared at her, "My game is very good and I worked very hard on it. The name of the game is Twilight Syndrome murder case!"
"What the heck!? That's pretty lame." Hiyoko complained.
"Is this...a motive? If that's the case, then this might not be just a game." I pointed out.
"Correct again! This game is indeed the next motive." Monokuma exclaimed, "Also, the first person to complete this game will get a prize. So you better be quick."
After that, everyone went back to their cottages.
Well, I didn't go to sleep like everyone else. I grabbed some spare pillows and blankets I found and headed back to the old building.

Nagito seemed like he hadn't moved from when I left.
He was just laid on the floor, staring at the wall.
When I came in, he lifted his head silently and then placed it back down.
"You came back." He chuckled.
"I said I would. Ah but I'm not staying long."
I sat down beside him placing the pile of blankets beside him and slipping the pillow under his head.
He shuffled a bit and then moved away from the pillow and placed him head on my lap.
My cheeks felt warm.
He smirked, "This is much more comfortable."
I sighed and let him lay there.
"Monokuma gave us another motive. It was a game, Twightlight syndrome murder case. But I don't think it's just a game. It's a motive so playing it is supposed to motive one is us to kill someone. What if it based on real life events involving people here... though since we supposedly lost our memories, we wouldn't remember it. Or it could be totally made up too..." I started rambling.
"Did you play it?"
"No..no one did. Everyone agreed not to, but regardless someone will probably still play it. So I should probably play it so I can understand the motive."
Nagito nodded, "When you play it, come and tell me what happens."
"Yeah...I'll make sure to bring you food too."
A comfortable silence fell over us and before I knew it, Nagito had fallen asleep on my lap.
I shuffled him head onto the pillow so I could get up. I also grabbed the blankets and wrapped them around him so he wouldn't be cold.
It's not fair that Nagito is tied up. But if I untie him, I might lose the trust of the others. For now, I should stay on the safe side.
If I lose their trust, I could become one of the next victims.
I gazed at Nagito's peaceful sleeping face for a few moments. All of this would be nice if it wasn't for the situation we're in.
Softly sighing to myself, I headed back to my cottage to sleep.
~*~
I ended up playing the game, but apparently, someone else had the prize...
