~Y/n pov~

Usami asked us all to come to the beach, so here we were, all gathered at the beach.

The white bunny arrived and handed us all this small replica of her. Everyone was disappointed.

"I also have a motive so that everyone can get along." Usami cheered, "Since we're on an island, it's island theme."

Everyone got excited and started coming up with all these ideas.

Usami dropped two bags, "Swimming."

In the bags were swimsuits but it was the plain navy blues ones that would be used for schools.

I wasn't a big fan of swimming or really the beach. Though, I like drawing the beach.

Almost everyone grabbed a costume and ran off to change.

Akane tried to just rip her clothes off and jump into the water but of course, she was stopped.

I watched as people splashed each other and had fun.

There were a few others still in their normal clothes, stood around.

Nagito noticed me looking and sent me a small smile.

I noticed Hajime ran off, he probably wanted to enjoy the water too. A few moments later, he came running back towards us.

All of a sudden, the sky turned black and high pitched laughter was heard.

"This shouldn't be happening...what is this?" Usami looked panicked.

The monitor turned itself off and a silhouette was displayed on the screen, "Ah...mic check! Mic check! Ah...can...can you hear me? Puhuhu....surprised? You were totally surprised! It's time for the main attraction! You guys better all hustle over to Jabberwock park!"

The monitor went black again and a stunned silence washed over us. It didn't last for long though.

"Oh, this is bad...this is very bad....I've got to do something." Usami continued to panic.

"It seems that...was an unusual occurrence.." Byakuya pushed up his glasses.

"What about everyone who's swimming?" Hajime asked, worried.

Byakuya glared at him, "There's no time to wait for them to get changed....I have a bad feeling about this.."

I turned around to start walking, glancing back momentarily at Hajime, "Let's go, the others can catch up."

With that, I walked off, a few other doing the same.

"Wh-where are you? Where are you hiding?" Usami yelled, holding up her magic stick.

Everyone who didn't swim was at the park, no one had any idea what was going on.

"Who are you talking..."

Hajime was cut off by laughter, "Puhuhu.."

Everyone who had been swimming quickly arrived.

We all stood their waiting for something to happen.

The laughter was heard again and a black and white bear jumped out from behind the statue.

"Why, hello there! Thank you all for waiting. I am Monokuma! I'm the headmaster of this academy."

"Why is Monokuma here!?" Usami exclaimed.

So she knows him....

"I'm bored...so bored! People don't want to see students living calm and peaceful lives, they want to see misery and despair!" Monokuma exclaimed.

"What the hell is with this stuffed animal?" Fuyuhiko yelled, "Nothing he's saying makes any damn sense."

What is going on? What is that thing?" Byakuya asked confused.

I think everyone was confused about this whole situation, even before Monokuma showed up...but now, everything got even more confusing.

"Be careful, everyone!" Usami instructed, "Stay back and leave this to me. As long as I have this magic stick..."

Monokuma leapt at her and grabbed the magic stick, snapping it in half and then throwing it to the ground in victory.

Usami began to shake, "M-my magic stick."

I stepped back, only to bump into someone.

Turning my head, I noticed Nagito looking down at me.

When did he get so close? I could've sworn he was a few feet away from me.

Just as I was about to step away and apologise, a hand grabbed my arm, preventing me from moving.

"Hey, Y/n....it's going to be fine." Nagito smiled down at me.

I nodded my head slowly, "Y-yeah..."

Turning my attention back to Monokuma and Usami, I noticed Usami laying on the ground in defeat.

"White rabbits are faaaaar too plain." Monokuma complained, "Sooo, I'm gonna make you in my image!"

They started fighting again, I couldn't make anything out.

Then I saw them, Usami was now half pink and half white. Her design was similar to Monokuma.

"I'm not supposed to look weird like this! Change me back!" Usami cried.

"My, my...defying your big brothers fashion sense. Is Monomi a litte troublemaker?" Monokuma teased her.

"Big brother? Monomi?"

"You were boring, so I've made you my little sister, Monomi!"

Usami or....now Monomi protested but Monokuma simply beat her up.

Wait...can she even feel pain?

"What's with this stupid performance?" Fuyuhiko complained angrily.

"From this point onwards, the killing school trip will now commence!" Monokuma announced.

This can't be happening...

"What the hell?" I muttered.

"W-what do you m-mean killing school t-trip?" Mikan stuttered, tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Isn't it obvious? You guys are going to kill each other!" Monokuma exclaimed.

"Killing each other...I see..." Kazuichi sighed, before the realisation hit him, "K-KILL EACH OTHER!?"

"What are you saying? That's impossible." Teruteru was trembling.

"Oh yeah, I'm changing the school rules! If you want off this island then please kill one of your friends. Then, make it through the class trial without being caught." Monokuma laughed.

"Class trial?" Chiaki asked.

"The class trial is the real charm of this killing school trip! If one of you gets murdered, the surviving participants must participate in the class trial. At the class trial, there will be a showdown between the blackened killer, and the other spotless students. The outcome will be decided by popular vote and if you arrive at the correct answer.....Only the blackened will be punished! But if you pick the wrong answer....everyone besides the blackened will be punished!" Monokuma explained.

Everyone was protesting and it seemed like Monokuma had had enough.

"Come forth Monobeasts!"

The statue came to life and separated into what he called the Monobeasts.

Just what in the world is happening?

One of the Monobeasts crushed Monomi. Her body exploded into parts. She was a robot after all, so it's not like it was gory.

It became clear, she was gone and she had lost all control.

It was night now, so everyone headed back to their cottages.

I'm sure everyone was shocked and overwhelmed. We all needed sleep.

As soon as my body hit the bed, I fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up to some sort of announcement, a morning announcement? How stupid.

Now that I think of it, I remember one at night too, I heard it just before I fell asleep.

Well if everyone wasn't awake, they surely are now.

I made my way to the dining hall and sat at one of the tables, Nagito sat himself next to me and Chiaki sat herself across from me.

We were waiting on a few others, I guess everyone wanted to discuss what happened yesterday. That's only natural.

"You're late, Hajime...and where is Kazuichi? I thought you were together." Byakuya complained.

Hajime sighed, "He..ran off somewhere."

"Huh? Where?" Akane asked.

"There's nowhere to run anyway. What a weirdo." Hiyoko laughed to herself.

"After what we witnessed yesterday, his behaviour is understandable."  Nekomaru stated.

Teruteru acted clueless, "What do you mean? Did something happen yesterday?"

"Why have you gather us here?" Mahiru asked.

"Not yet..." Byakuya replied, "Not until Kazuichi gets here."

"Everyone wait here, I'll find him and drag him here." Mahiru sighed dramatically before leaving.

We all ate while waiting for them to come back.

I was about to go up and get food when Nagito handed me a plate full of food.

"Oh thanks." I muttered.

Nagito didn't say anything and simply smiled.

I could feel his gaze on me but I decided to ignore it.

Mahiru walked in, "Hey, thanks for waiting. I brought him."

Kazuichi stood there, looking absolutely terrified.

Hiyoko smirked, "Even though you look all flashy, you're actually a really big coward! Are you gonna be okay? People like you are normally the first victims."

"I just wanna go home already!" Kazuichi cried.

There was a crash, followed by a shriek.

Somehow, Mikan had tripped and tangled herself in the wires, but she was in the weirdest position.

Her legs were in the air, tied with the wires and her underwear were on full display.

She must be so embarrassed.

"How in the world did you end up in such a.... comprising position from tripping?" Byakuya asked.

Of course, Teruteru had to make a perverted comment.

Mahiru and I helped untangle the wires so Mikan could get up.

"Mikan, are you okay?" Nagito asked.

"Ugh...my head is throbbing a little..but I'm okay." She replied.

"Can we hurry this up? I'm getting sleepy." Chiaki yawned and leaned her head on my shoulder.

"Under these strange circumstances, what do you think we need right now?" Byakuya asked.

"Who the fuck knows?" Fuyuhiko scoffed, "Just get to the point already."

"What we need right now is a disciplined leadership provided by an unmistakable leader!"
