"Mom!" Princess Adebisi rushed into her mom's quarters, yelling. She was with her friends when people started calling her for her to check what has gone viral on the internet. She wondered what it could be with how calls were entering her phone. Her family and friends were not taking it easy with her at all. Immediately, Princess Adebisi logged into her Instagram account, rejecting all the calls that entered at that moment. Without having to search at all, a lot of people who knew who she was had tag her to a video. The mystery video behind the reason why people who had called her for many years suddenly remembered who she was.

When Princess Adebisi clicked on the video, she couldn't believe who appeared before her eyes. For a second, she felt as if her heart stopped working and she almost choked to death. She would have loved that better than stay alive to endure the biggest shame that suddenly fell on her. She dropped her phone, hoping to see something else, but that never happened. She went back to the video again. This time, her phone fell on the table with her eyes widened and her two hands covering her mouth when reality finally dawn on her. It was her mom. With the same man she had known for quite a long time. When she read the caption posted by the blogger, her eyes suddenly turned bloodshot, looking like she was about to murder someone.

'The shocking news. The first Queen has been cheating on the King for years. This morning around 8am, a video was posted on Prince Ire's WhatsApp status. One of the King's sons, who took the risk to reveal the secret of the first Queen love affair. If you watch the video to the end, you will hear from their conversation where she confessed that the fourth Prince isn't the King's son. For Prince Ire to have revealed this, that means, there isn't that peaceful and happy family they made us believe exist in the palace'.

After reading that caption, Princess Adebisi drove down to the palace immediately. With the speed she took, she knew it could rather result into her death or not, but she survived. Reaching the palace in twenty minutes, she went straight to her mom first. When she wasn't getting any response, she yelled again."Mom where are you? How could you have done this? Why would you even think of doing something like this? Mom! A whole Queen people look up to." Princess Adebisi yelled over and over again, walking into her mom's room. There, she met her mom sitting before the mirror with her face painted heavily.

"I can't believe this! Don't tell me you are here when you've taken the whole world by shock!" Princess Adebisi shook her head, totally short of words. The frown on her face and the look her eyes were giving her mom could only be described in one way. A feeling of irritation and anger. Then she shouted out of frustration when her mom wasn't giving her the attention she wanted. "And where did you think you are going mom? Where is your phone for crying out loud!"

"What is it now Bisi? Which one do you want me to answer now? About my phone, I'm charging it and I've switched it off. Please I have a party today don't disturb me." Queen Adetutu turned to her daughter, checking which of the (gele) head tie she could use to the party she was going to.

"Mom!" It was Princess Omotoke's voice. She walked in shocking both her mom and her younger sister who weren't expecting to see her. Queen Adetutu had to stop what she was doing. She stared at her two daughters for answers, but they gave her that look of disappointment in return. Queen Adetutu slowly lost interest in what she was doing. She was starting to feel something had gone wrong. "Omotoke, you never told me you were coming?"

"Mom how could you?" Omotoke's eyes were red. Extremely obvious she had cried over what she saw. If there was a word bigger than feeling ashamed, it could really qualify what Princess Omotoke felt.

It was Princess Adebisi's turn to speak. "Mom, if you are still here doing all these, then you don't know what is going on then," she said, sharing a quick glance with her elder sister who told her to go on. "Mom, Ire updated a video of you with---"

"With what?" The Queen instantly jumped up from the stool she sat on. The stool summersaulted and almost made her fall, but she didn't care at that moment. Whenever she heard the name Ire, her conscience never let her rest. He was the only person who knew about her secret. Queen Adetutu threw the (gele) head tie in her hand away and faced her daughters. "Tell me what happen? What did Ire post?"

Princess Adebisi didn't know how to say it so she gave her mom the phone she was holding. When Queen Adetutu watched what her daughter gave to her, she shouted like someone who had suddenly run mad. "Yeeeeeeeee! Egbami, egbami!!!" She fell to the ground. "Now the end has come. I'm finished." She said to herself, feeling so ashamed. Especially with her daughters before her. Slowly, tears began to roll down her face. She didn't know what else to say, but then she yelled at her workers who were sneaking around to know what was going on. "Someone should call Joy for me! Call that stupid Joy for me!"

Immediately, all the workers scattered around, but they suddenly stopped at the door step again. Princess Adebisi whose anger was at the peak, looked around and shouted at them. "Have you all run mad! Why the hell did you all stop!"

An heavy silent fell upon everyone in the room. But then, a voice replied.

"I'm here."

The workers scattered around again as Joy walked in, standing before the Queen.  "I did it!"

••••

To Prince Ire's surprise, his phone was exactly where he left it and was placed just like he did place it on his rug. No one would have thought someone took it. Prince Ire quickly unlocked his phone and went straight to his whatsapp account.

On checking his whatsapp status, he realized the post was no longer there. He rushed downstairs with his brother, Prince Adedamola who told him about what was going on. "Sewa!" Prince Ire called out. He knew what just happened was done by one of his workers, but he didn't believe Joy could do that because the first Queen recommended her. Which was to retrieve the CD with him. Prince Ire looked up to Sewa who stood before him. "Get Grace and Joy here!" He said in a command tone, waiting for his call to be picked to report the case of stolen information by one of his workers.

Grace came out even before Sewa could call her. This time, Prince Ire's voice was louder and intimidating, getting everyone worried and being careful. Prince Ire turned to Grace who just came out from her room. "And where the hell is Joy?"

"She left just now. She didn't tell me where she was going to." Grace turned to Sewa who also said the same thing. Immediately, Prince Ire called one of the security at main gate who told him no one left the palace yet. Instantly, Prince Ire knew where to find Joy. The only reason he had to find Joy was because of his friend who needed the evidence she took with her. He actually didn't care she exposed the first Queen. But what he couldn't understand was why since she worked for the first Queen.

Thinking about it, Prince Ire thought Joy must have used the first Queen to get to him because it seemed to him like he was her target if she was ready to reveal the Queen's secret just to frame him. On their way to Queen Adetutu's quarters, Prince Ire thought about it again. What if she isn't the one behind it? But then, the only person on his mind was Joy.

•••••

The first Queen was still sitting on the floor she sat on. When she saw Joy appeared, she felt like hitting her face till she fainted. All she wanted was for her to retrieve the CD for her and not cause her more trouble. She got up and shouted. "You did what?"

"I posted the video." Joy replied. "There wasn't any other way to ruin him because he's fast and very careful. I saw that opportunity and I really did not care because you all are the same. He was the reason why my elder sister, Ada got fired and was sent out of the palace. And what about you, what did you do?" Joy replied extremely furious. Her voice came out louder with her eyes darken with anger. "You sent her out of the palace without paying her the money you owed her. She called and called but you kept procrastinating and because of you and that imbecile, my sister committed suicide!" Joy was already crying. "She really worked so hard to take care of the family and all you did was sent her away without anything. And because of you, she died. You made her kill herself after feeling depressed for weeks!"

At this point, everyone was speechless. The first Queen couldn't believe it. She was actually used just to get back at Prince Ire. Ada was one of her workers, but she got fired by the King and that was because Prince Ire made sure of that just to get back at her. Queen Adetutu was shocked by the confession but at that moment, she didn't care. "You are a foolish child!" She shouted at Joy. "You will pay for this. I swear!"

"And you are paying for your infidelity now. May you never come out of this. You all deserve it!" Joy yelled.

Princess Omotoke who couldn't stand what was going on came in between them and hit Joy's face. "Don't you ever! Ever in your life raise your voice at my mom again! Because no matter what, she remains my mom. I'm so furious knowing what she did, but I will never stand back and let you insult her! Is that understood!"

Joy stared back at Princess Omotoke "I can't believe you are still defending this shameless woman."

Princess Adebisi walked towards her sister. It was her turn to defend their mom. She stared at Joy. "We will defend that woman no matter what! You have no right to tell us what you think because we don't care. And right now, you will get the hell out of this palace and---"

"Not yet." Prince Ire walked in with Prince Adedamola behind him. He stopped before Joy. "You know what, I must commend you because you really did a good job. You are smart, but before you leave, I want my things back. I need those CDs back."

Joy shook her head in return. "I burnt them all."

"You what?" Both Prince Ire and Prince Adedamola chorused.

"You must be joking. Officer!" Prince Ire called one of the policemen around. They were the same policemen he called to search his house for the stolen CDs but couldn't find any in all the rooms they searched. Prince Ire pointed to Joy. "Please arrest her till she confess. I need a particular CD from her."

"I have nothing to confess." Joy interrupted. "I told you what I did to them already."

"Then get ready to spend your Christmas behind bars." Prince Ire threatened. "And for the pictures you sent me, I hope you are happy now?"

This time around, Joy had a confused look on her face. She looked up at Prince Ire. "Now I don't know what you are talking about, because I never sent you any picture."

"Excuse me!"

"I never sent you any picture." Joy repeated.
