One Shot 26.2: Male Lead, Please Don't Notice Me! (Part 2)

Due to readers' demand? HAHAHA.

You wanted part 2? Then here it is!

~~~~~
"Sis! Let's go over there!"
"Wait a minute!" Lesley huffed and stop walking for a while to catch her breath.
She and Harley were walking nonstop since earlier but Harley was still full of energy while she on the other hand was already tired. She just wanted to sit and sipped on her favorite tea while reading a book.
It was their first time in a while to roam around the city together since Harley had no magic lessons now. Lesley kinda regretted that she made a promise with him that they would roam around the city if he was free.
She didn't know that Harley could be this hyper.
"Ha!" Lesley sat on the bench nearby while still taking deep breaths. She was just really tired from walking plus there were a lot of people around her— could she just shut herself in her room wrapped in her blanket while reading a book?
Ah, my introverted side is taking over me again.
"Sis? Sis! Are you okay?" Harley came running towards her, putting his small hand on her forehead. "I'm sorry, I forgot that you have a weak body. I'm just too excited to walk around with you because it's been a while."
Lesley smiled and ruffled his hair, "I'm okay. I'm just not really used with many people around me."
Her little brother hummed, "I think it's my first time to see many people here in the city during regular day. The only time that the city plaza is this full during festival."
The Grandrock County in which the Vance handled was known for its sea-themed festival since they were located near the sea. The highlight of the festival was parasailing and the island treasure hunting.
Apparently, there was small island that appeared only in the middle of the sea during the last day of the festival.
It was said that the island was the home of Esprit Goddess, and that there was a holy stone containing the special energy of the goddess that could make everything lively— which could resolve the problem of Southern Paxley which was its barren lands. Although no one succeded reaching the island ever since the competition of island treasure hunting began centuries ago.
People were torn between believing it was real or just a myth since no one really reached nor saw the said island.
"Maybe we should go to the library first, Sis. You can rest enough there." Harley suggested.
"No!" Lesley blurted quickly, "I-I mean, no. I still have unread books back in home. There's no need to go there."
Lesley bit her inner cheek. It had been two months since she last went to the Southern Library because she was afraid that she would meet Gusion again.
Meeting him twice is already too much.
She didn't even bother to use the access envelope that Gusion gave her. She was not crazy enough to go to the Grand Duke's mansion although the sound of its library had tons of books sounded so tempting to her.
She chose to stay in their household even though she wanted to go out sometimes. She just asked Irithel to borrow books from the Southern Library, afraid to cross paths with the Grand Duke.
Harley frowned at her, "That's... odd. The mention of books and library always excite you. Did something happen while you were visiting the library?"
Lesley let out an awkward smile. Aside from being a mage genius, her little brother was very observant.
"Nothing. It was just not my sanctuary anymore since I saw few people using it." Lesley said.
"Oh." Harley reacted before he narrowed his eyes, "I guess you saw a freak there?"
"A freak?" She reiterated and one person quickly came to her mind but she quickly whisked it off.
I mean, Harley wouldn't call the Grand Duke a freak, right?
"Nothing, Sis." Harley pouted and hugged her, "I'll make sure no one can steal you away from me, from us."
Even though she was confused, she chuckled at his remarks, "No one will get interested to me since I'm just an esprit with weak body, Harls. And I'm not leaving you or our family."
"Yeah, we're not going to be apart again, Sis." Harley murmured, "Thank you for coming home."
=====
Lesley and Harley went out of the restaurant while holding hands. Harley was really energetic that he was hopping while Lesley was chuckling because of his cuteness.
"Shall we go home or we'll walk around more?" Lesley asked him.
Harley pointed a certain flower shop, "Let's go there and then we'll go home, Sis!"
She frowned in confusion for seconds before she remembered something.
She gave her little brother a knowing smile, "You want to see your crush, baby brother?" She even wiggled her eyebrows to him.
Harley blushed immediately, even his ears were red, "Sis!"
Lesley laughed so hard then she pulled Harley towards the flower shop. He was still blushing when they entered the shop.
"Welcome to Miracle Blooms!" An energetic female voice was heard, "What kind of flowers are you looking for?"
They were welcomed at the entrance by a little girl with almost same height as Harley, pink hair, light blue eyes, and a very very cute girl— her name was Nana.
Lesley remembered in the original novel that Nana was Miya's cousin and their family business was this flower shop which was known for breeding unique flowers.
Nana was also a mage and had the same age as Harley and was helping in their family business. She had a sibling named Harith and a friend name Lulu.
(A/N: It was said that Lulu is Nana's friend in MLA, but I think I read it before that she is her twin sister. But I guess they change it to friends.)
Harith only had few scenes in the original novel because he was training to be an imperial knight in the capital. Lulu, on the other hand, was a shy and silent type girl. She was just frequently visiting this flower shop because of Nana and Harley.
Actually, her little brother got friendzoned by Nana in the original novel because Nana knew that Lulu liked Harley. And because Nana was naturally kind— she didn't entertain Harley's feelings for her although she also liked him and instead pushed him to Lulu, but Harley didn't like Lulu.
Harley and Nana didn't get the chance to meet again, even before the original Lesley got banished from the kingdom.
Ah, that was another heartache for me when I was reading the novel. Harley and Nana's interactions were really cute and they parted like that! Author! You're so cruel!
"Oh! Greetings Lady Lesley and Lord Harley. Please excuse my late greetings." Nana said before doing curtsy to them.
"Ah, no need to be too formal!" Harley said in panic while waving his hands.
But Lesley nudged him and nodded towards Nana. She gave Harley a it's-your-time-to-greet-her-formally-too look and she chuckled because Harley blushed again.
Harley cleared his throat before speaking, "I-if you allow me, please let me greet you formally too, Miss Nana."
Nana was seemed shocked when Harley pulled her hand softly and planted a light kiss on the back of it.
And now, both of them were blushing. And Lesley was trying to control herself from squealing because they were too cute!
Goodness! It's so worth it to be transmigrated in this world! I can see these cuties' interactions with my own eyes! Lesley thought while she was gushing about Harley and Nana internally.
"Ah— ahm!" Nana cleared her throat, she was still blushing, "W-what kind of flowers are you looking for?"
"Do you have any true blue-colored and turquoise-colored tulips? Oh, and pink as well." Harley asked while still blushing.
"True blue and turquoise? We don't have those colored tulips but I can make now. How many do you need, Lord Harley?"
"Harley would be fine, it's kinda awkward to be called Lord, please." Harley said, "A dozen for those three colors. For the pink tulips, make it the same shade of your hair."
"M-my hair?" Nana asked.
Harley nodded, "Yeah."
"Please wait over this table and I'll bring out teas while you were waiting." Nana said.
"Can we watch as you breed the flowers?" Lesley asked.
"Well, I guess so, Lady Lesley. Sure, come this way." Nana said and gestured them to follow.
"Oh, not me. Only my little brother. I want to walk around your shop." Lesley said with a big smile before pushing Harley towards Nana.
Harley was so flustered, "W-what— S-sis—!"
"Enjoy! See ya later, baby brother!" Lesley said while walking away and she even did a flying kiss.
When she turned her back from them, Lesley giggled out of giddy feeling. Ah, those cute babies! I will definitely give you your happy ending now that I'm here!
She was still smiling while walking around the shop. Lesley was amazed because there were variety of flowers and they had unique features! The were heart-shaped petals, star-shaped flowers, and many more. Plus, they were all fragrant!
Hmm... I remembered that this flower shop provided the flowers on Guinny and Gusion's wedding in the original novel. Lesley thought as she randomly touched the flowers lightly.
All of the flowers in the wedding were combination of purple and violet. Nana's parents even managed to produce lots of matthiola incana, which was Guinevere's favorite flower. That flower only blooms in the Northern Paxley and transporting it from North was kinda hassle so the couple decided to hire Nana's parents to produce lots of matthiola incana.
Lesley noticed that there was a vase full of Delphinium Aurora Blue flowers that were already withering. Blue was actually her favorite color— any shade of it— because the color relaxed her.
She slowly reached for the flowers. She was actually afraid to touch it  because she thought she might damaged it more but then she was startled when she heard the chimes from the door, indicating that a customer went in.
She accidentally touched the withering flowers and Lesley was afraid that she damaged them.
But the exact opposite happened.
Lesley's eyes widened as she witnessed the Delphiniums slowly grew back to its vibrant and lively color— as if they were just newly bloomed. The flowers were also sparkling.
Wait— how did that happen? Lesley thought as she stared and examined the flowers carefully. She even blinked and rubbed her eyes few times to check if she wasn't hallucinating.
"Lady Lesley?"
"Ah!" Lesley was startled when she heard someone called her. She was too focus staring at the Delphiniums.
"Sir Granger!" Lesley exclaimed upon seeing who called her.
Granger bowed at her and she did a curtsy.
Wait, if Granger is here... Then Gusion is also here! Lesley thought and her heartbeat went fast. I have to leave! Oh no, sorry baby brother. I think I have to cut your time with your crush!
"I didn't expect to see you here. Are you alone?" Granger asked her.
"No, I'm with my little brother—"
"Sis! Where are you?"
"—yeah, there he is. Speaking of." Lesley laughed awkwardly, "I'm here in the vase section!" She shouted back.
After a couple of foosteps, Harley and Nana came in her view. Harley was holding three bouquet of tulips— turquoise, true blue, and pink tulips.
She met him midway because she could see that he was struggling.
"Sis, the true blue tulips are for you. Here, take it." Harley said while handing her the true blue tulips. "This is my gift for you since you're the best sister in the world— and in other worlds!"
Lesley was in awe and hugged her little brother, "You're so sweet. Thank you baby brother. I love you so much!" She kissed his hair.
"Love you too Sis and— oh, Sir Granger, I didn't notice you there." Harley said when he saw Granger.
"Greetings, Lord Harley." Granger said while bowing his head.
"Is the fr— I mean, the Grand Duke also here?" Harley asked while narrowing his eyes.
Lesley could see the you're-not-following-us-right look in his face.
She hummed to herself. Is Harls closed to Granger?
"No, His Grace is not here. He sent me to run some errands." Granger answered.
"In a flower shop?" Harley asked suspiciously.
"Yes, he told me to buy some rare flowers."
"Oh, like matthiola incana?" Lesley asked, excited with the fact that Gusion might give Guinevere her favorite flowers.
Gusion and Guinevere weren't still a couple in this timeline although Gusion should already show interest towards Guin. They would become official couple after the Royal Banquet next month.
Granger frowned, "His Grace didn't mention that kind of flower. He just said to buy three bouquet of any naturally color blue flowers."
Lesley felt her heart dropped with what Granger said. An idea was already slowly creeping to her mind but she quickly tossed away the thought.
No... No... That's impossible. Maybe, maybe Gusion doesn't still know about Guin's favorites. Yeah, yeah right. Let's think like that. Lesley thought.
Before Lesley could speak, Harley spoke first.
"Ha! Such nonsense." Harley rudely commented before turning to Nana, "Here, these are for you. I'll see you next time again." He handed her the pink tulips before pulling Lesley's hand, "Let's go, Sis."
Lesley couldn't react while Harley was pulling her.
Meanwhile, outside the shop, a girl with white hair in a high ponytail saw the whole scene.
"So that's how it is huh." She said before leaving, thinking of informing her friends with what she saw.
=====
"Come on Les! You promised!"
Lesley sighed and fought the urge to scratch her cheek. Guinevere had been here for hours already, saying the same thing again and again.
Guinevere had been bugging her to attend her tea party next week.
She saw Guinevere took a deep breath and she already knew what she was going to say.
"You told me you would attend my next tea party because you didn't attend the first one! You promised me that, Les!" Guinevere said while Lesley mimicked her while saying that.
Guinevere saw her and pouted, "Lessie!"
Lesley let out a long sigh, "You've been saying the same words for three hours now."
"Because I'm upset! I really want you to attend my tea party, Lesley." Guinevere was still sulking.
She let out a long sigh once again, "Why do you insist me to attend those tea parties? We are having it here now." She said and sipped on her tea.
"Les, you need more friends, that way, you can have many connections and maybe, you can find your future husband! We're already in the marrying age."
Lesley coughed the tea she was sipping.
Lesley was already twenty four while Guinevere was twenty. Gusion and Granger were also twenty four.
She dabbed her lips with a handkerchief, "No, thanks. I have my family and my friends."
"No! You need more friends close to your age!"
"You and Irithel are already enough. I'm not a fan of having many so-called friends."
"Aww, I'm touched— but not enough reason. Les, you need to show off your beauty!"
"Nope." Lesley said, popping the p sound, "I'd rather lay on my bed and read a book."
Guinevere groaned out of frustration and hit her head on the table, "You're hopeless, Lesley."
She just chuckled as a response.
Guinevere then sat straight and slammed her hands on the table, "Alright! You leave me with no choice. So I'll use my last card now. I will go straight to your parents to tell them that you want to hold a tea party and knowing them, they will believe me and they will be excited. And then—"
"Oh no, Guinny. You can't do that." She cut her.
"Oh yes, yes I can." Guinevere smirked at her.
Lesley sighed in defeat, "Fine, I'll go."
"Yes!" Guinevere smiled widely and pumped her fists in the air.
"But this will be the first and last, okay? Are we clear, Guinevere Violet Baroque?"
"Yes, Lesley Clandestine Vance. Thank you so much!" Guinevere exclaimed and hugged her..
Lesley knew in herself that she should have said no, but she couldn't refuse this very persistent girl.
I just hope I won't regret this later. Lesley prayed silently.
=====
Unfortunately, she wished too much...
Lesley froze from where she was standing when she saw the noble ladies present in Guin's tea party.
Selena and Karina, Miya, and Angela.
Of course, she wouldn't forget those names and faces. After all, they were the cause of the original Lesley's misfortune.
Don't worry, original Lesley. I will avenge you!
Lesley knew that the dark energy awakening would not happen in this timeline... yet. It would happen after the engagement party of Gusion and Guinevere.
Let's not get affected to what they will say. After all, it's my first time meeting them. Lesley thought.
Unfortunately, Harley wasn't able to come with her because their parents grounded him for a while for skipping magic lessons.
"Lady Guinevere, how did you become friends with her? She doesn't look like she's in our level."
"She looks so plain next to you, Lady Guinevere."
"Her hair is so thick. She wears less make up. Didn't she know that tea party is a formal gathering?"
"Yeah, look at her clothes. It's so plain."
Ugh, I think my ears are going to bleed. Lesley thought as she sipped on her tea while listening to the four ladies badmouthing her.
She side glanced at Guinevere and saw that she was holding her teacup too tightly. She could also read annoyance in her face.
Lesley tapped her arm, giving her a calm-down look. But Guinevere gave her a no-I'm-very-pissed-right-now look.
Lesley just shook her head to Guinevere while the other four noble ladies were badmouthing her, giving side comments on how she looked.
Ha! I'm telling Melissa later on how they mocked my dress. Lesley thought and bit on the cookie.
Melissa was the most famous dressmaker and designer in the Southern Paxley. Almost all of Lesley's formal dress were made by Melissa.
A few minutes later, the four noble ladies became silent— an awkward atmosphere was created. Ever since the tea party began, it was just the four of them who were speaking.
"What now? That's it?" Lesley broke the silence as she gracefully picked up her teacup. "How boring. I thought it would take you hours badmouthing me. If I knew it would be that short, then I should have not went here. Reading is more entertaining than the four of you."
With that, the four noble ladies gasped in shock while she heard Guinevere giggled while sipping tea.
"How rude of you, Lady Lesley. You should learn your etiquette. That's what you get from not attending formal gatherings." Angela told her.
Lesley feined shock, "Oh my gosh, I'm the rude one, now? Oh, I'm so sorry that my simple words offended you, Lady Angela. I didn't know that badmouthing is not considered as rude now. I think I should really attend gatherings often, right? But I'd rather choose to read than mingling with..." She looked at them up and down, "...the likes of you."
The four of them glared at her but Lesley just smiled sweetly at them.
I'm not the weak original Lesley, leeches. Lesley smirked to herself.
"You're being arrogant just because you have Sir Granger on your back." Miya said while glaring at her.
Lesley stopped for a second before processing what Miya said. She was confused but she didn't show them.
"I saw you on Nana's flower shop. Sir Granger is with you and your holding a bouquet of flowers. Is he courting you now?" Miya added with her chin up high, as if provoking her.
Lesley mentally facepalmed upon realization. So apparently, it seemed that Miya was passing by when she and Harley were in Miracle Blooms when they met Granger. And there she just assumed that Granger was courting her just because she was holding a damn bouquet of flowers, which in fact was given by Harley?
I'm afraid on what kind of brain she has. Lesley thought and slightly shook her head. But at least they didn't assume any connection of it to Gusion.
"And what is it to you if Sir Granger is really courting me?" Lesley said and gracefully put her teacup in the coaster, "I believe I don't owe you any explanation of my personal life, Lady Miya."
"So you're admitting it? I think you're hallucinating, Lady Lesley. Who would even take an interest of you?" Miya mocked her.
Lesley felt that hit an angry vein in her. She wanted to strangle these noble ladies but she calmed herself.
Lesley reached for the table napkin and carefully wiped her mouth before speaking, "Lady Miya, first of all, I don't like it when a mere daughter of a baron is insulting me, who is a Marquess daughter."
Miya seemed appalled with what she said.
"Second, who are you for me to explain my life to you? I'm kind, Lady Miya. You don't have to worry about my life. Shouldn't you get more worried about your family's status? I heard that your father almost depleted your wealth because of gambling." Lesley added and smirked at her.
Miya's eyes widened, "H-how did you—"
"Well, unlike you, I am participating in my family's management and businesses. I read your father's letter to my father, saying he wanted to borrow a big lump sum of money." Lesley smiled at Miya. "I'm handling the cash flow of my family's business and I'm sorry to say this but lending money isn't included in our business." She said in an innocent manner, but sarcasm was hinted in her voice.
Miya was fuming mad. She grabbed her tea cup with hot tea, "You ugly thing! How dare you!"
Miya was about to throw the tea to Lesley but Lesley didn't even bother to stop her or dodge it. Before Miya could pour the tea on her, the door suddenly opened.
"What kind of commotion is this?" The annoyed newcomer said.
And that annoyed newcomer was no other than, Grand Duke Gusion!
All of them quickly did a curtsy, especially Miya who panickedly put her tea cup in the coaster.
Lesley could feel that Gusion saw that.
"Your Grace!"
"Gusion!"
And that two newcomers were Granger and Guinevere's brother, Lancelot.
There was an awkward silence arounf them.
"What's with the tension?" Lancelot asked.
"Brother! These four were bullying Les—"
"No! They were complimenting me." Lesley cut Guinevere and gave her a don't-tell-them look. She was already tired of dealing with these four. She couldn't afford to do a long explanation.
"I can hear the sarcasm." Gusion commented while looking at her.
"I'm telling the truth, Your Grace." Lesley answered.
"I think she was about to splash her tea on you." Gusion said and pointed Miya which made the latter paled.
"You're mistaken, Your Grace. She was just telling a story while standing and holding her tea cup." Lesley quickly answered.
Gusion stared at her intently, making her feel awkward.
Don't stare at me, male lead! Guinny is just right behind you! Stare at her, not to me, you idiot!
"You're very bad at lying, Lady Lesley." Gusion said while slightly shaking his head.
"I'm not lying, Your Grace." She firmly said, "Right, ladies?" She looked at the four noble ladies who looked so pale that they could passed out any minute from now.
She slightly widened her eyes to them, giving them a just-agree-with-me look but of course, they didn't get it.
Gusion let out a deep sigh before walking towards her.
Lesley was startled and wanted to step away from him. If he came any closer, these four ladies would spread rumors for sure!
And why Guinny isn't stopping him? By this time, their feelings were already mutual!
She glanced at Guinevere to ask for help to get Gusion away from her but her kind friend just giggled and winked at her!
Lesley frowned at her and gave her a what-does-it-mean look but Guinevere just blew her a kiss.
Lesley looked back at Gusion who was already standing in front of her. His eyes were roaming as if he was checking if she was injured or whatsoever.
"At least you have no injuries." Gusion commented after observing her.
Lesley couldn't help it but rolled her eyes, "Do you think women always resolve a conflict in violence like men? I don't think so, Your Grace."
"And you said they were complimenting you." He said as one of the side of his lips quirked up.
Lesley clamped her lips and slightly bit her lower lip. It was her habit if she caught lying.
Gusion smiled at her. His back was actually facing the other people in the room so only her could see his smile.
"Please pardon me." Gusion said out of nowhere, confusing.
Huh?
Before Lesley knew it, Gusion had already lifted her in his arms.
The four noble ladies gasped in shock— including her. But Guinevere, Lancelot, and Granger didn't even react. It was as if they were expecting Gusion to do it.
"Y-Your Grace! I'm okay! I have two feet, I can walk on my own!" Lesley exclaimed after realizing the situation.
Dear God, I just want a peaceful life. Was it too much to ask for? Lesley silently cried. She knew this would definitely spread among the Southern Paxley, or worst, this could reach the capital!
"I can see that but I wanted to do this." Gusion said as they reached the door.
But before Gusion could step out, he stopped for a moment and turned to the four flustered ladies, "Before I forgot, this will be the first and last I will spare you. If I learn that you are badmouthing or spread false rumors about Lady Lesley, I'm going to strip your family's titles and even claim all of your properties. Much better than being executed, right?"
"That's kinda light punishment." Guinevere commented.
Lesley remembered that Gusion was a tyrant. Pissed him off and you would have your head flying away from your neck. That was one trait of him that she didn't like while reading the novel. Okay, she knew how powerful he was but it wasn't enough reason to kill someone with just trivial matter.
"Because I know Lady Lesley wouldn't like it if I kill them." Gusion answered and started walking once again, stepping out of the room.
That made Lesley gaped and stared at him. She was really surprised with what he said.
A Baroque servant led them to another empty room. Thankfully, Gusion had already settled her down in a couch. She mumbled thank you which earned a smile from Gusion. Her heart skipped a beat because of that.
It's kinda satisfying to see a cold person smile to you.
There was an awkward silence in the room. Granger was just standing in the corner, Lancelot was looking at her and Gusion alternately, Gusion was standing beside the couch she was sitting and staring at her.
Lesley closed her eyes tightly. Will you please stop staring at me, male lead? I'm not Guinny!
The awkward atmosphere was broke when the door burst opened. It revealed Guinevere who was walking fast towards her direction.
"Lessie!" Guinevere exclaimed and hugged her tightly. She almost stumbled on the couch.
Lesley was shocked but she was even more surprised to see that Guinevere's shoulders were shaking and she could hear her sobs.
"Guinny? Hey, why are you crying? Did the four of them hurt you? Where? Did they say something bad to you?" Lesley asked in panic while trying to lift Guinevere's face.
"Why are you so worried about me when it's you who was bullied? Why do you have to be so kind? I hate and love your kindness sometimes. You even give your kindness to those who don't deserve it." Guinevere said while crying out loud like a child.
"I really wanted to scratch their faces earlier and kicked them out but you stopped me. How can you be so calm? They are pissing me off ever since! If only Father didn't tell me to socialize with them, I would never invite them to my tea parties!" Guinevere continued as she cried.
Lesley was a little shocked to hear those words. And a thought came to her mind.
Right, in the original novel, Guinevere might have a lot of friends but only few people she considered as true friends. Her father was forcing her to socialize every noble lady as much as possible— for influence and power. And since Guinevere was naturally friendly, it wasn't difficult for her. But deep inside, she didn't like everyone because most of noble ladies were two-faced.
Lesley smiled, "I don't want you to get into trouble with your father because of me, Guinny." She softly wiped her tears, "And I told you, I'm okay. Their words didn't hurt me but pissed me rather. And I didn't have any plans on getting in an argument with them but I don't like it when they insulted me. Your reputation is more important than mine since you are exposed in the society while I can seclude myself in my room and drown in my books. I don't want to tarnish your reputation just because of me."
"So don't be upset anymore." Lesley tapped Guinevere's nose with her forefinger and smiled.
With that, a flow of special energy happened subtly, but everyone definitely felt it. They even saw Lesley's aura glowed brightly. Guinevere even felt that a refreshing and warmth breeze enveloped her, lifting up her mood.
But Lesley didn't have any idea on what she just did.
Guinevere was stunned, she was surprised with what she felt. "Oh my goodness, Lesley. So that's how it is? It's amazing to feel it personally! Wow!"
Lesley was confused with what she said, "Huh? I just tapped your nose though?"
"What are you talking about? You definitely—"
"So what happened when you sent those four off?" Gusion said, cutting what Guinevere was saying.
Guinevere then glared at Gusion, "How dare you cut me off!"
Gusion just shrugged, "So what? Did they look like they will spread false rumors?"
"They are crazy if they will." Guinevere answered with a duh expression on her face, "I also gave them a warning not to mess up with my Lessie anymore."
Gusion's face darkened suddenly, "Can you repeat what you just said? I think I misheard it."
"Oh, the part where I said my Lessie?" Guinevere said smuggly.
"When did she become yours?" Gusion asked while glaring at Guinevere.
"Ever since the world began!" Guinevere said and she even stuck her tongue out.
"You are saying she's yours but you didn't even protect her earlier." Gusion said, trying to provoke Guinevere.
"Because she didn't let me too! And why are you here, if I may ask? I remember that the three of you are going to the Abyss now, right?" Guinevere said while crossing her arms.
"He teleported here even though we are already outside the city, my lady." It was Granger who answered.
"Yeah, so we have no choice but to follow him back here. We thought there was an urgent thing happened that he used teleportation." Lancelot added.
"This was really urgent." Gusion said firmly.
"Ah, more important than losing the opportunity of beating one of high guard of Abyss, and gained your parents' favor." Lancelot said with a smirk.
"Wait— what?" Lesley exclaimed.
She knew that Gusion was the least favored prince among the four oldest siblings. She remembered that Gusion defeated a high guard of Abyss, gaining more of his parents' favor.
The Abyss was the home of demons, located at the borders of Western and Southern Paxley.
"What are you doing, Your Grace? Go there and defeat that high guard!" Lesley didn't care if he was a Gand Duke or not, she pushed him towards the door, "Go now, Grand Duke! You need to do it if you want to marry Guinny!"
Everyone stopped when she said the last sentence. There was eerie atmosphere that even a droplet of water could be heard.
She didn't know how long the silenece last before she heard laughters. It was from Lancelot, Guinevere, and Granger. While Gusion on the other hand, had a dark expression again in his face.
"Where did you get that information and who said it?" Gusion asked, still wearing a dark expression, "I'm gonna torture him by slowly cutting his tongue and removing his vocal chords using my daggers so he cannot spread such shitty rumors before killing him."
Instead of being afraid, Lesley was more confused. "Wait, Your Grace and Guinny are not yet lovers?"
But they should be in this timeline!
"Lesley! I love you and all, but how can you say that he and I are lovers? That's the best joke you've ever drop!" Guinevere said while still laughing. "And the most gross I've ever heard! I'm not interested with him. Not even even a pinch!"
"Don't worry, the feeling is mutual since the thought of you and I together is making me nauseous." Gusion said to Guinevere.
He then turned to her with his piercing gaze that made Lesley shivered.
"Now, Lady Lesley..." Gusion said in his low voice, "I think we need to talk in private to clear out some things, right?" He whispered in her ear.
Lesley felt his hot breath, making her blush. She even flinched a little when his lips softly grazed on her earlobe.
Before Lesley could knew it, Gusion had them teleported to a new room— with tons of bookshelves around them that were as high as the ceiling.
And Lesley saw that particular symbol in the ceiling.
The Southern Paxley symbol! We're in the Grand Duke mansion's library!
Before Lesley could appreciate the biggest library she had ever seen, Gusion cornered her in a bookshelf, trapping her between his arms.
"Why don't you start explaining now, Lady Lesley Clandestine Vance?" Gusion said in his baritone voice while smirking at her.
Lesley gulped while looking at him.
Goodbye, my dream peaceful life. You will always be remembered. Lesley cried internally.
~~~~~

Okay, that's enough. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
