GusLey Drabble: Number
Lesley decided to stop by at her favorite ice cream shop before going home from work.
It was almost seven in the evening, but she didn't have the appetite to eat dinner. Especially when she was alone in her apartment again.
Her adoptive parents and little brother already went back to their hometown since Harley's classes would start tomorrow.
When she got her order, she sat on the table for two on the corner, slightly away from people.
She wanted to enjoy her waffles and strawberry ice cream in silence. She even got her book inside her bag to read.
It was a book by her now favorite author, Mariana Zapata. Her writing style was so good and the very, very, very slow burn could kill you in anticipation but it was why it was so good!
She was currently reading The Wall of Winnipeg and Me— she was already halfway through but the slow burn was already killing her but it hooked her so much.
Lesley was smiling like an idiot while reading. This was the reason why she chose this table on the corner. She glanced up from time to time to see if anyone was looking at her way and thankfully— there wasn't.
Or so she thought.
Lesley was startled when she felt someone tapped on her arm.
Lowering the book in her face, she saw a little boy beside her table— around four years old. He was holding a chocolate ice cream.
She smiled at him, "Yes?"
The little boy smiled back, "Can you help me, big sis?"
"Okay, what is it, honey?" She said and tapped his chin with her fingers.
"I just sneak out from my big brother to buy an ice cream and now I don't know where he is and I don't have my phone with me. Can you call him on your phone? This is his number." The little boy explained.
"Sure, baby." Lesley said and got her phone while typing the number that the little boy gave her.
After three rings, the little boy's brother wasn't still picking up.
Lesley looked at the little boy beside her, "Sorry ba—"
"Good job Gerard."
She didn't finish her sentence when someone else spoke.
Lesley looked up and saw a tall man with the phone on his hand, wearing a business suit with slightly loose tie and two buttons open, brown hair, gray eyes— in short— a very, very handsome man. Like those men in the books she read.
"Big bro Gusion!" The little boy said and went to the man who spoke.
Lesley was just gaping at them with the phone still in her ear.
The handsome man patted the little boy's head she assumed whose name was Gerard like what she heard him earlier. And this handsome man was Gusion.
His gray eyes were still fixated towards her.
"Buy me more chocolates as promised now that you have the number of this beautiful big sis!" Gerard said— if he was a dog, he was already wagging his tail to his big brother.
Goodness, he's so cute. Lesley thought as she looked at Gerard. She wanted to pinch his chubby cheeks.
Gerard might have felt she was looking at her so he turned towards her and gave her a cute smile— revealing his incomplete set of teeth.
She motioned him to come towards her, and when he did, she squeezed him in hug and pinched both of his cheeks!
"Be thankful you're so cute! You little scammer." Lesley said while smiling.
"If you will be Big Bro Gusion's girlfriend then we can play together, big sis!" The little boy cheerfully said.
She ruffled his hair, "You're still too young for those things, sweetie."
Gerard pouted, "Or you can be my girlfriend if you want."
That made Lesley laughed, "You might need to grow first then maybe I can consider it." She winked at him.
Gerard giggled so as her but it was cut by Gusion.
"Come on kiddo. Finders keepers." The handsome man said and gently pulled Gerard from her.
They started walking when suddenly Gusion turned around to her again.
"See you again Miss." He smirked at her, "Make sure to answer my messages and calls."
Lesley was left dumbfounded. Seriously?
And later that night, he really did call her and strange as it seemed, she answered it— having their small talks last 'til dawn.
It became their routine later on.

A random thought HAHAHAHA.
