The next day was the beginning of a new dawn, it was a day full of plans that Dima made sure will succeed. By the end of the day, Chris was not going to want to fuck Dima or fuck with Dima and that was the goal. Dima's only concern was his feelings for the Alpha. He was trying hard not to get any more attached, but Chris makes it impossible by repeatedly showing up everywhere Dimitri goes.
The time when Chris showed up at his house, the young vampire almost had a heart attack. And yes, vampires do have a heart. The heart of a vampire doesn't beat 72 times per minute like humans, it only beats 36 times per minute. Dima deemed it fair; seeing they were half-human, it was just to have half the number of beats. The sound of their heartbeats is faint, making them hard to hear even after keeping your ear on their chest.
Before losing his train of thoughts and missing it at another station, Dima caught up and sat in the same coach as before where he was thinking about how he freaked out when he found Chris right outside his room. And that's when it hit him that the more their paths cross the more his feelings would grow, so the plan was to make Chris stay away. Later Dima can focus on ebbing his residual feelings.
Opening his closet, Dima started sifting through the outfits. He needed dark-colored clothes. Dark colors will help him blend with the surroundings in the dead of the night. Deciding on a coffee-colored t-shirt with full sleeves and black jeans, he laid them on the bed. After checking the clock that showed 1 A.M., he went to take a shower.
In fifteen minutes, he was out of the shower and ready to leave. To avoid making any alarming noises, he slowly opened the door to his room, just enough to poke his head out. He looked left. He looked right. The coast was clear. Cloaking his presence, he stealthily moved out of the house and immediately started running.
Finally, his destination was in view. Standing right outside the border of Chris' pack territory, he took his time observing his surroundings and the movements of the wolves on patrol.
It was 3:30 AM when he decided it was time. Without further ado, he breached the border and cloaked his presence. Every vampire his age can cloak their presence for 10-15 minutes. Their capacity increases as they age. They gain other powers as well with age, training, study, and experience.
For the time being, the ten minutes he had were enough for him to reach Chris. The ones who knew him would never question his intelligence but would still be curious about the reason behind not cloaking his presence before breaching the border. The answer was in plain sight - he had an ulterior motive. He wanted Chris restless and in Alpha mode.
Locating Chris wasn't hard as Dima simply stuck to following Chris' smell to where it was the strongest. Apparently, The idea worked as he was now standing right outside a room where the ignorant werewolf can be heard giving instructions to who he assumed were the warriors of this pack.
The sound of footsteps warned him that someone was coming out of the room. He hid in the shadows and entered the room after the warriors moved past him.
"Hey Chris," he said and grinned in the Alpha's direction.
Chris looked startled, to say the least.
"What the fuck are you doing here at this time? You shouldn't be here, someone has illicitly entered the territory. I have sent..." Chris stopped mid-sentence, catching the vampire's broadened grin and then his eyes widened comically as the realization hit him. "It's you. It was you who breached the border." A tired sigh slipped out of Chris before he dialed someone and told them to return to their duties. Turning to the vampire, he chastised - "You are an idiot" and then promptly took the main seat in front of the desk present in the room. Switching to his business tone, he began interrogating the vampire. "Now, what are you doing here?"
Instead of answering him, Dima started looking around. The office was screaming Chris; his scent was everywhere. The wall had red wallpapers and the aura it gave reminded Dimitri of classy offices from the medieval period you see in old pictures. However, it seemed cold and lacking. Something was amiss.
"This room doesn't look to your taste, it looks so bland contrary to your rich spoiled ass," Dime taunted and stopped at the opposite side of the desk from where Chris was sitting.
"This isn't my office but that isn't relatable. Cut the crap and tell me what are you doing here?"
Putting his fingers at the right corner of Chris' desk, Dimitri started dragging them with feather-light touch along the edges. Soon, he traced a path around his desk and was standing right in front of him. The vampire pushed Chris' chair back lightly and straddled him by putting both his legs on either side. Letting his left arm rest on the werewolf's shoulder, he ran his right hand through his hair, pulling them to make Chris look up at him.
"I thought you'd ask me 'To what do I owe the pleasure?' I guess I ain't that pleasurable anymore," The sly vampire faked lamenting albeit seductively.
"You do realize that you are in my territory, right? Don't think for a second that I will hesitate in taking you right here, right now. I don't think you would mind though because you look quite consenting to me." The challenge in Chris' eyes as he was looking right into Dimitri's was as clear as the desire in his voice. The Alpha in him had not gone back to sleep yet; his body strung tight with tension gave that small information away.
Perfect, again. Dima smirked internally.
"That's sad because I came here intending to dominate you."
Chris growled out loud at the vampire's words, the leader inside him feeling challenged and issuing Dima a warning to back down. The audacity of the person in front of him had the Alpha think about whether he should be impressed or punished. His human side was at odds with his wild side which didn't let him feel impressed. And punishing wasn't an option, it wasn't his place. Dimitri was not his.
"No," he negated. His gleaming eyes probably showed Dima that he was on the edge.
"Yes." The stubborn vampire stated firmly, his eyes glowing.
Not wanting to give Chris a chance to argue or get back his sense, Dima started grinding on him making the Alpha's chest rumble with a growl. Seeking the opportunity that lay in front of him on a silver platter, Dimitri latched his lips to Chris' neck and the rest was history.
After both of them had fulfilling orgasms, Chris started leaving kisses from Dima's collarbone to his Adam's apple to his chin and when he reached the lips, Dima pulled back.
"No. First, you tell me that you will let me dominate you and then I will kiss you." Dima only said that because he knew Chris wouldn't let himself be dominated; Alphas don't submit.
Chris tried his best to pull Dimitri back but the vampire wouldn't budge.
According to Dima, they weren't lovers so kisses didn't matter. They weren't meaningful. And he theorized that Chris was hell-bent on getting a kiss because Dima had denied him by saying no and the fragile ego of his wolf was hurt.
After a few more tries, Chris gave up. He realized that the vampire won't give in.
Fast forward some time and they were standing at the pack border where Dima stood ready to go home, but not without having the last say. "When you are ready to give your ass, Alpha." He ran before Chris could register his mocking tone, he knew there will be consequences to his teasing if he stayed. Dima's laughter rang in the air, leaving behind Chris' loud growl to vibrate through the forest.
In no time, Dima was in his own territory. Standing outside the boundary of his house, he checked his phone. 5:30 AM.
After jumping, hiding, crouching and some crawling, Dima was standing outside his room. Before he could enter, his dad's voice rang in the house making him groan.
Does he have something against me going to my room?
"Dima! Dima! Get the hell up and come down." The panic in his dad's voice penetrated the wall of his thoughts. He hurried down the stairs.
"What happened, Dad?" he asked, concerned.
"There is an attack, we need to go."
"Attack? Where?"
"Imperial Shadows Pack. Let's go."
Imperial Shadows. Isn't that...
"That is Chris' pack, right?"
"Yes, Dima. Move now!" Lance ordered, moving towards the door.
He was slightly perturbed with the questioning session which will only lead to wasting precious time which he didn't want.
Dima followed him quietly, only one thought swimming in his head -
Why didn't I kiss him?
