"I have insomnia though." I guessed everyone else was getting tired of the unnecessary arguments as they shot me an annoyed look. "Fine. Fine, I'll try and sleep," I huffed before leaning against the window.

When we left the hub, the name of the building we were in, I didn't expect it to still be light out. The switches clock suggested it was midnight but perhaps it mixed up A.M and P.M. "Where should we go to first Chance?" "We should look for clues about our situation and, more importantly, your talent," I told him whilst looking at the map.

The hub was in the dead center of the facility. If you went Northeast, then you would reach the dorms and south of that were some buildings called the MonoLabs. On the leftmost side of the map were a classroom and Mono's Garden.

"Maybe the dorms are our best shot for finding talent information," Raios thought out loud. "Why do you say that?" "Would tell you, but I don't think that bear wants me to and I don't feel like finding out." "True, I guess," I replied remembering the spears that almost killed me.

"To the dorms then!"

On the outside, the dorms seemed to be an average apartment building. On the inside, however, it looked to be a luxurious hotel!

The entrance was filled with black and white, occasionally red, flowers. It opened into a lobby with a couple of black and white velvet couches and wooden tables, all with red accents. At the back of the room were a pair of elevators, all of which probably lead to the actual dorms.

"This place is huge," I remarked. "You can say that again."

I turned around to see Julius jumping around on the couches, wearing a different hat than earlier. "Where'd you find the new hat, Julius?" Rai asked. "Well, when I went up to my room there was a large trunk filled to the brim with costumes!" he replied with stars in his eyes.

"Interesting. What if you have something similar in your room Rai?" "We can only find out by actually going there."

"Aww, are you guys leaving?" "We have to Julius, but we'll see you later at the hub though," my companion told him as we made our way to the elevators.

"Wait! Before you guys go up you need to scan the thing Monobear gave us." "Thanks for the heads up." We then watched the boy skip out of the building.

"Should I scan or should you?" "I will. Our rooms are probably linked to our switch IDs." "Makes sense."

He scanned his Monoswitch and the elevator started to move. It eventually stopped on the fifth floor. The left set of doors then opened up to a hotel room. The design seemed to match the lobby, save the red accents now being a deep maroon.

Raios went to what looked to be a closet and found a bunch of matching outfits. I, on the other hand, started looking for the chest Julius had mentioned.

"Find anything yet?" "No," I said before looking under the bed. 'Bingo!'

I pulled out the maroon chest and was delighted by what it contained. I picked up one of the items and fired it at my friend.

"Headshot!" I exclaimed while laughing.

"I can't believe the people who run this joint actually gave me a bunch of nerf guns," he said, rubbing his head. "We should probably go back to looking around though. I think there's nothing else that'll really help us here."

"I guess. Where to though?" "You choose this time." "How about the labs? They're fairly close." "Fine by me," he said stepping back into the elevator.

"Wish we found a clue to your talent." "Well, how do we know that the guns have nothing to do with it? For all we know, I could be the Ultimate Gunman or Pirate," he replied jokingly. "Don't think I saw any daggers, but gunman is a possibility."

"Guns! Daggers! I will not allow you two to listen to that awful bear! Killing should not interrupt our youthful lives!" "Darling, I do not believe they are worthy of being called youth. Judging by how close they are at least."

I looked over my shoulder and saw Takeo and Jikochu. The former seemed disappointed and slightly mad. The latter disgusted.

"Ms. Harukawa and Mr. Renako I demand you hand over any weapons you have right now." 'This is going to be fun,' I thought.

"Chill Takeo. We were just joking around. We found some toy guns in my dorm room and-"

"You two were both in his dorm room," Jiko interrupted, raising an eyebrow. "Shut it ballet brat. As I was saying-" "Don't you dare call me that!"

"Back to the topic at hand, Mr. Renako please hand over the weapons." Rai sighed and pulled out the nerf gun he took from his room. "Why are you giving it to him," I whispered. "Just wait."

Takeo inspected the 'weapon' and after a while, realized his mistake. He sheepishly returned the toy and apologized for the misunderstanding.

"We shall take our leave then." "Bye dears! Let us not hope to see you in a bit"

Raios glanced at me to see how I reacted. I rolled my eyes and commented. "That was rude." "Really. That's rude? That's nothing compared to our school and you know it." "I'm just saying Mr. I think my friend still has a weird obsession with-" "Let's just go to the labs."

"Any luck Yuriko? "No... I'm sorry, there were just a bunch of empty beakers."

When we eventually did get to the labs, Rai and I discussed how to tackle all three of them. When we decided, Yuriko showed up and was eager to check the remaining building.

"No need to apologize Yuriko, you had no control over your findings." "But I still was pretty useless," she replied, mushrooms starting to form on her head. "You weren't. Now stop growing mushrooms," Raios told her. "If you were useless, so was I then. At least you found something, my building was completely empty." This seemed to cheer her up, slightly.

"Did you find anything Kana?" "I did. There were a bunch of different proteins and chemicals but I have no idea what they are." "Maybe Henry or Kureijī knows," my friend mused. "Was there anything else Chance?" "Yes, a poster of more, I think dangerous, chemicals. It said to call Monokuma if you wanted access to them." "Maybe the bear is trying to kill us," the blond girl shuddered.

"So, where are you guys going to next?" "Probably the classroom. What do you think, Rai?" "I don't mind. Want to join us, Yuriko?" "It's okay, I already went there." "I see. We'll see you later then."

"Was this even on the map?" "Of course it wasn't you idiots. What sane living thing would advertise this?" "It's a giant gate! What wouldn't want to mark this as noteworthy!"

We met up with Kiyodo on our way to the classroom. Apparently, we all had missed a memo about the giant gate that blocked off what seemed to be the rest of the facility.

"Should we ask Monokuma about this?" I asked. "No!"

"What the heck Chance!" "Are you insane Harukawa!"

To think that soon to be frenemies are this in sync with only knowing each other for a couple of hours.

I shrugged it off. "He seems to know a lot about this facility, more than us at least. At this moment, he's the only source we have.

They stared at me dumbfounded. "You've gone insane." "I knew I was stuck with imbecile idiots but this is next level idiocy."

I sighed. "I guess I'll leave then," I said before running away

"Why'd you leave me behind with the crazy-eyed freak!" I just shrugged. "I finally get a break, so I don't wish to be surrounded by children. "And what is that supposed to mean?" he asked angrily. "It means - Oh hey Akii!"

I ran up to her as she turned around to say hi. "Hinoka, you're here too!. How've your explorations gone so far?" "It's been going well actually. I was just about to check the classroom," Akii replied. "Same here, but I just finished with it. Was weirdly normal."

"I see. Is it okay if we check out the classroom with you Akii?" "I don't mind at all, but do you want to go there again Hinoka?" "Don't think she was talkin' 'bout me Kiki," she answered, pointing behind the brunette.

She turned around to see my companion who I had ditched. "Sorry, didn't see you there Raios." "It's fine. Shall we go now?"

"This place is really empty." "You can say that again."

As per its name, the classroom was just a classroom with rows of desks and chairs. At the front was a teacher's desk and, like everything else, was bare. Or at least I thought it was.

"Hey girls, think I found something in this drawer." We walked over to him as he pulled out a nameplate. "I don't see how that's important, Raios. It's just that teddy bear's name," Akii commented. "True, but at least it's something," he replied, passing it to her.

My Monoswitch then started buzzing as did the others. Akii gave me the nameplate to see what the fuss was about. "Guess we can text on these things. Edgar made some sort of group chat to tell us to meet up at the hub."

"Let's go then. There's nothing else here after al-l. What the hell is going on with that nameplate Chance!"

I looked down at the piece of metal in my hand. It was glowing!

After a while, it stopped and when it did I dropped it almost immediately.

The name had changed.
