Wren grew up in a well off family who seemed to have an idea how they wanted their children to grow up. They wanted them to study and gain the skills to be a part of the family business, which was a career she had no interest in (accounting). She found it boring. She'd listen to music and developed a love for all types of alt music, Much to her parents frustration. She dressed punk which broke the perfect visual image the family had, but she didn't care. Eventually she started recording covers of songs she loved. Her first cover was a cover of The Anthem by Good Charlotte because it was a song that she related to. She began to record more and more, and soon became popular and built a name for herself, forming a band with a few friends and going under the stage name Vex. Eventually she branched off and did original music with her band (called Shades Of Dawn). Eventually a record label picked them up and she became pretty famous and garnered a huge fanbase. She was dubbed ultimate alt vocalists because her voice seemed to fit almost all genres of alt music (Punk, Pop Punk, Emo, Rock, Glam Rock, Metal, Soft Rock etc.)
