Today really wasn't the best day for a park date unfortunately.. People were so loud and everyone seemed to get so angry/annoyed so quickly this evening.
For instance Makoto heard some people arguing over what cafe to go to. It wasn't excited screaming, it was aggressive screaming.
It all made Makoto so nervous.. even if that situation was about him or included him.

Naegi had a fear of yelling ever since he was younger. It would make him feel uncomfortable and stressed every time.. just the noise of something loud would make him flinch.
But.. he didn't want to leave the park..he wanted to stay with Celeste and still keep the date going.

Even if it meant being paranoid almost all the way through..

Makoto and Celeste held hands as they walked through the park together,
"The breeze feels nice this evening.."
Celeste muttered, Makoto snapped back into reality for a moment as she spoke.

"O-oh..! Yeah, it feels great doesn't it?"
He nervously chuckled, he looked very uneasy as he heard more arguing in the distance.

Celeste scoffed,
"I wonder why so many people are arguing today.. perhaps we should go further out."

"Yeah.. good idea.."

Makoto gripped onto Celeste's hand, and then they walked off further out.. away from the loud plaza.

No matter how far they moved out, the loud noises would still linger with them. Sometimes not even bad ones! But it would still make Makoto nervous.
Eventually the two had found a spot on the grass by the water..

"This seems like a good spot.. what do you think?"
Celeste asked looking Makoto's way. He seemed spaced out..
She placed a hand on his cheek, making him flinch and soon blush..
"S-sorry! I kinda blanked out for a second.."

"I could tell, is something the matter?"
The gambler asked, she sat down rather elegantly, patting a spot down on the grass for Makoto to sit on.. and he did so.

The lucky student sighed,
"I'm fine Celeste, I'll be a-alright.."
He gave a small smile before looking up at the bright sky.

"If you say so, my darling.."

The two of them looked up in the sky, admiring how the moon glared on the water and how pretty it looked this evening..

BOOM!

Makoto jumped from where he was sitting, and held himself tight.. something about this scare wasn't sitting right..

Celeste looked behind her, her red ruby eyes lit up at the sight,
"W-woah.. I didn't know they'd have fireworks at this hour."
She smiled then looked over to Makoto, "My dearest, look over here-"

"Makoto?"

Celeste heard crying coming from Makoto all of a sudden.. she raised an eyebrow at him.
"Makoto? What's wrong?"
She asked, "Why are you weeping?"

Makoto hicced and sniffled before speaking,
"S-Scawy noises everywhere.."
He cried, holding his head and breathing very heavily.
"Mwama.. make'em go away..!"

"Mama..? Makoto I am not your mother-"
"G-GAH!"
She was interrupted with Makoto's sudden grip on her body, he was attaching to her like a baby koala.

She tried to push him off to see what was going on but he wouldn't budge one but.. leaving Celeste even more confused then before.
First it was the scary noises, and now he's addressing her as his mother? She knew she had to get to the bottom of this.

Celeste decided to start with, "What are the scary noises."

She took a deep breath,
"Dearest.. what are these 'scary' noises you speak of?" Celeste asked.

"Everyone was s-shouting.. and mwad.. and there was a scawy bwoom.."
Celeste could tell those words were hard to let out, Makoto seemed so stressed..

"Mmm.. I see, my darling.. if you didn't like the noise you should've told me, I wouldn't have minded going back to the dorm."
Makoto frantically shook his head,
"N-Nwo..! We hwave to stay-"

BOOM BOOM

"EEP!"
Makoto squeaked, hiding deeper into Celeste's body.
The poor boy started to whimper a small bit as well..

"I-is that the loud noise you're referring to?"
Celeste asked, pointing to the sky.

Makoto hesitantly looked up, and nodded.
He looked higher up to the sky, and saw how the night was shining bright with sudden bursts of colors.. it made his watery eyes sparkle..
"Wut D-Dat?"
Makoto asked, pointing to the sky.

"Oh? Those are fireworks, my darling.. I'm surprised you've never seen them before."

BOOM BOOM!!

Makoto flinched once more..
Suddenly, Celeste had an idea.
"Here.. let's try this."
The gambler softly covered Makoto's ears, making him slightly confused.. but soon started to beam with joy.
The scary noises were.. gone!
And all was here was now pretty sparks of light in the sky!!

Makoto giggled, and clapped his hands.. making Celeste give a small smile as well.

She didn't know what was going on with Makoto.. but, that really wasn't to any of her concern right now. She was happy that Makoto was happy, and that she was with him..
Celeste would definitely ask him about it later, but for now she wanted to enjoy the moment..

I've never heard of this ship before but it's actually very cute, and I'm glad I got to write about it!
