Immediately an arrow went whooshing by me.

I quickly jumped backwards to avoid anymore arrows. That was too close!

I took a look around my surroundings. I could only sum in it up with a few words.

So basically chaos.

The floor was brightly colored like a board game of sorts and some of the squares were on fire.

The wall hasn't changed except for a few decorations such as a weird dragon shaped head, torch handles and a few twisted roses.

And then...there were the people. Well only three people were actually there.

Golden, spiky hair, blue hat and purple hair.

But they looked...different and I'm not talking about them being chibi like.

They were wearing different clothes. But now is not the time to be looking at their clothes, I'll have to do that later.

They seemed to be playing the board game but they weren't nowhere near the end.

"Look it's Kuro!" Yuki shouted, pointing his finger at me.

I slightly waved and stepped forward.

I felt something cold and hard in my hands.

I look down to see two dice.

Welcome UserCoder to Danger the Board Game! In this game, all you need to do is make it to the end. Easy right? Well that's where you are wrong!

There are normal spaces where nothing happens but there is also special spaces. Some are helpful while others...not so much.

Some of those unhelpful spaces won't kill or hurt you but the other unhelpful spaces would so be careful on which one you step on.

I had many questions about this.

I looked at the dice in my hand. It was a six shaped die which was the most common type of die to play a game like this.

So I just roll them? I wondered.

"So who's turn is it?" Toshiaki asked.

"I think it might be Kuro's turn. I just went and move a couple of spaces," Yuki explained.

Guess I do, I shook the dice and rolled them.

4, 3

7 spaces in total

I moved up seven spaces. A normal space but just one up from a space with a skull on it. Looks like that wasn't a helpful space.

Everyone else rolled. Luckily, nothing bad happened to them.

(Small time skip because I'm getting tired and I want to finish this)

"Looks like Kuro is the only one left on the board," Yuki noted.

Toshiaki patted down a small fire that started on his shoulder.

He winced before saying, "Yeah but let's hope that his luck is able to pull him through."

"Don't jinx it," Ichigo said.

I stared at the dice in my hand and looked up at the spaces.

Only 10 spaces to go. I need to roll five on one die and another five on the second one, I thought as I shook them.

I rolled the dice.

One side landed on five while the other...

Four?!

Damn, I'm one short! I thought.

I went up nine spaces only to realize that the space that I ended up on had a skull on it.

I was oddly enough, really lucky that I haven't stepped on a lot of skull spaces. Only like one or two.

Still, it wasn't a fun experience to step on those spaces.

Alright what's the space this time, I thought.

I felt something in my hand. It was a card.

All it said was, "Wait until someone dies."

While it wasn't as bad as the poison flamethrower (that's a thing apparently) nor the falling anvils, this caused a shiver down my spine.

Why is this so vague? And why does it seem like someone will die? I thought.

"Kuro, what did you get?" Toshiaki asked, loudly.

I pocketed the card in my pocket.

"It's nothing," I muttered. They couldn't hear me.

I rolled again and got out of the board.

Looks like we passed, I thought as celebrating music played.

It was eerie because of how hollow it felt and how it echoed through the place.

"Oh thank goodness we made it through," Yuki sighed.

"That sure was scary," Ichigo said.

I took a look at them all.

They looked...different.

Toshiaki was wearing a black leather jacket and jeans that have large holes in them. His red headphones were around his neck this time. He had a bunch of pins that probably were different bands. Classical and modern rock bands.

Ichigo was wearing a black, frilly lolita dress and purple Mary Janes. Near her shoulder was a stitched purple teddy bear face. Similar to what a kids toy would be. Her strawberry pin was a darker shade of red and green. She wore white stockings with black bows.

Yuki looked similar to what he usually wears but his boots were buckled instead of laced up. His pants had a large pocket that had a plastic wand sticking out. His hat looked more leathery and had some stitches on it.

How come their clothes changed but mine didn't? I thought.

"Umm Kuro, not to be rude or anything but you have been staring at us for a bit," Toshiaki said.

"Oh! I'm sorry. I'm just a bit shocked to see you," I explained.

"Yeah, it was also a shock to us especially with different clothing. Hey, how come yours hasn't changed?" Ichigo asked.

I shrugged, "No idea."

"Well we can dwell on that later. We need to find the others as soon as we can," Yuki piped up.

"Right! Let's go!" Toshiaki shouted with excitement.

Yuki rolled his eyes at this.

Just as we were about to walk out, I heard something get kicked like a rock.

I whirled around to spot the source of the sound.

There! Above the board. A silhouette of a person.

I couldn't see them other than that they were wearing dark clothing. I couldn't even tell what gender they were.

"Who's that?" I asked.

"What?" The three of them asked.

I pointed to where the person was. They were gone!

"I don't see anyone there. Are you sure you're not seeing things?" Ichigo asked, concerned.

"..."

"H-hey man. You're not suggesting that it was a ghost r-right?" Toshiaki asked.

"..."

"Come on, Toshiaki. There is no such things as ghosts," Ichigo pointed out.

"Well there is not evidence that ghost exists nor is there evidence disproving the existence of ghosts," Yuki explained.

"True," Ichigo said.

"Let's just go," I said and walked past them.

I could have sworn I saw someone. Whoever they were, I wasn't quite sure if they were up to good or not.

A/N: much shorter chapter this time. I just want this finished, that's all.
