We all stood in the elevator, feeling nervous as our possible doom drew closer and closer.

I scratched my arm to calm myself down but I couldn't. How can someone be calm when one little slip up, they could die?

At last, it stopped and the doors open up to the trial room...wait it looked different.

The trial room looked like it came from a sort of wizard movie. Like the chambers of something foul. The light was greenish and there was cobwebs on the ceiling and even fake rat skeletons on the floor. At least, I think they were fake.

(If anyone gets where I got the inspiration for this trial room right now, here a cookie 🍪)

Monkomi sat on his little throne, grinning. He was the only one actually happy about this. Oh and the mastermind I guess.

"Settle down everyone. Once you all head to your podiums, I'll explain the rules in case anyone has forgotten," Monkomi explained.

We did just that.

I stared at the portrait in front of me. It was Rin's portrait and just a few podiums down next to Robin was a portrait of Minami with her face crossed out.

Two new portraits.

This didn't make me feel any better at all.

(*insert Monkomi explaining the rules because I'm not about to write a whole speech)

"I think that we should point out the most obvious thing. The Monkomi File," Toshiaki started.

"Right, there is no cause of death on there. What's up with that?" Yuki asked, curious.

"Well due to the blackout, I couldn't see what the cause was and it took so long to activate the night vision," Monkomi explained.

"Wait you know who the murderer is?" Kazuno asked.

"He knows because of the cameras. It's so obvious airhead," Toshino snapped at her.

"Shut up," Kazuno muttered.

"Shouldn't we discuss the elephant in the room? Kana disappeared around the same time Minami disappeared because both were gone when the lights came on," Ichigo explained.

"Y-yeah. Do y-you think that m-makes her a suspect?" Hirohito asked.

"Wh-what?! What makes you say that? I would never kill Minami," Kana pointed out.

"Oh really? As I recall, you were treating her badly these past days. Wouldn't it have been easier to dispose of her?" Amy asked.

The room went silent at this.

"P-please don't say th-things like that," Hirohito said timidly.

"I have no reason to kill Minami. I dislike her sure but that's not a reason to kill someone," Kana pointed out.

"Oh who knows? Maybe someone does have that motivation. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't kill her. You weren't there when the lights went off and when we found Minami, she was dead. I think we can put two and two together," Amy explained.

Kana shook her head quickly, denying this.

>It does make sense to an extent but I know that Kana didn't do this. And I have this to prove it!

Amy: Just admit it. You're the culprit

Kana: I'm not! How many times do I have to say it?

Kana: I. Am. Not. The. Killer

Uyeda: Hmm you seem to be getting on the defensive.

Kana: No sh*t Sherlock. You wouldn't like it if you were accused of murder

Yuki: I don't think we can see if Kana is innocent or not.

Amy: Because there is no proof at all!

"You're wrong Amy. There is proof. Kana told me that she noticed two figures in the dark. Or at least an outline before getting knocked out. When she woke up, she noticed the body," I explained.

"And?" Amy asked.

"The body announcement only comes on when three or more people discover the body. I don't think that applies to whoever murder Minami," I said.

"Why don't we ask Monkomi to confirm that fact?" Ichigo asked, helpfully.

"Yeppers! The body announcement only applies to those who found the body, not who murder the victim. Thought I should have put that in the rules but I just think that it's common sense. I guess not," Monkomi sighed.

"That confirms it. Kana is innocent," Sora said.

"I don't see it. Who else discovered the body with her?" Amy asked, clearly not backing down.

>Who discovered Minami's body that caused the BDA?

"If I recall, it was Robin and Ichigo who discovered the body with Kana," I said.

"Yeah I can confirm this. When Kana bumped into us, she told us about the body and we ran into the room. Once we lay eyes on the body, the announcement played and everyone rushed in," Robin explained.

"See, I am innocent," Kana said. Amy just turned away, her nose in the air.

"Hmmph," was all she said with such arrogance.

"So Kana is innocent. That leaves us with figuring out how Minami died so we can figure out her murderer," Robin suggested.

"But we already know. By drowning," Jun pointed out.

"Highly doubt it," Yuki muttered.

"What do you mean by that?" Jun asked.

"Wouldn't it have taken a while for her die by drowning?" Yuki asked.

"Mind if you elaborate? I believe some of us are lost on this," Sora said.

>Wait, I think I know what's he trying to say. Can it be...

Is that so?

"Are you talking about the Monkomi File? The time of her death?" I asked and Yuki nodded.

"She died at around three right? The blackout wasn't very long. By the time Kana found her, she would have been alive but when Robin and Ichigo came in with Kana, Minami would have been dead. At least she would have put up a struggle," Yuki explained.

>True she would have put up a bit of a struggle if she were alive at the time.

"So she must have died from another method," I muttered but then Kazuno jumped in.

"Let's resolve this peacefully!"

"J-just listen to what I have to say. She couldn't have died from another method other than drowning. I can explain it to you further," she explained.

>Sh*t this early in? Now?

>Guess I have to listen to what she has to say and see if it fits in with the evidence. If not, I can show it to her that it doesn't fit.

Truth Blade: Uyeda's Autopsy Report equipped

Kazuno: I know it seems like I'm pulling the conversation in a different direction but please just listen. Depending on how much she struggled, her drowning isn't much of a stretch.

[Advance]

Kuro: Much of a stretch? Really, is that what you wanted to explain it to us? Minami didn't show any signs of a struggle so why are you pulling that into the conversation?

Kazuno: I was getting to that! We don't know how long it took for Kana to wake up to see Minami dead and the time when she entered the room again but with Robin and Ichigo. Other than she's dead, she didn't look like she had other injuries that led to her death.

>Something about that sentence makes no sense. I got to fight back against her claim!

"Actually there are signs that Minami died of another method that isn't drowning. If I remember correctly, according to Uyeda's autopsy report Minami had a rash around her mouth and dilated eyes," I explained.

"Wait what does that mean?" Toshiaki asked.

"Where did the rash and dilated eyes come from? That shows that Minami died from something else. Something that wasn't drowning," Uyeda explained.

"If that's the case then she would have shown signs of she wasn't feeling well. Last I looked at her, she looked perfectly fine," Jun explained.

>I don't exactly know when did those symptoms started to appear and that sucks really. If only there was a way to tell when she was feeling unwell...

"When exactly did you see Minami last?" I asked Jun.

Jun stayed quiet as he thought about it. Then he replied with, "I'm not sure actually. We bumped into each other one time way before the lights went out. She was mainly with Kazuno though."

"Exactly. Kazuno told me that Minami told her that she wasn't feeling well. And just when she suggested to go and tell Uyeda that she wasn't feeling well, the lights went off," I explained.

"So this sudden illness that Minami had...was the cause of her death?" Toshiaki asked.

"Not illness. If I remember correctly...," I trailed off thinking.

"I believe that Minami was poisoned and she died before she got set into the tank," I explained.

"Poisoned? Isn't that a bit of a stretch?" Amy asked.

"It's not much of a stretch if you think about it. Where else would she get the dilated eyes and the sudden illness?" I asked.

"Wouldn't it be wise if you can elaborate further with this claim of yours Kuro?" Sora asked.

Ichigo looked confused at this.

"The chains were not tighten enough for them to last for someone to drown. They looked rushed like a last minute decision," I explained.

"So you're going back to the claim about her putting up a struggle? That she couldn't or else the chains would have shown a sign that someone struggled in them?" Ichigo asked.

"Well...yeah actually," I replied.

"Understandable have a nice day!" Ichigo cheered.

"So if the chains looked rushed and they wouldn't be able to support Minami if she were still alive when she got lowered into the tank and she struggled, that means that Minami was already dead at that point," Robin said.

"But who would have known about the poisons beforehand? I doubt any of us knew about it until Kuro brought it up," Sora asked.

You're the Only One I Can Think Of!

"I'm not suspecting you but you must at least know who knew the poison since you discovered it, right Toshino?" I asked.

He didn't respond....mainly since he was sleeping.

"You got to be f*cking kidding me right now. He's asleep, at this time!" Amy growled.

"Someone mind waking him up?" Sora asked.

Toshiaki who was next to Toshino, tapped him on the shoulder which woke the aqua green haired boy up.

"Hmm? You people done with solving this case?" He yawned, rubbing his eyes.

"Don't play games with us? You just can't fall asleep during a case like this! Our lives are on the line!" Amy snapped.

"Well it seems like you had it all under control so you had no need for me," Toshino explained.

"Why you little-," Amy was about to shout at him but then Robin cleared his throat.

"We have a case to solve so save it for later. Now Kuro what did you ask again?" Robin turned his head to me.

"O-oh right. Erm...," I felt awkward since I didn't want to repeat myself but I did so for the sake of the trial.

"I told you before, I don't remember who. All I remember was being knocked out," Toshino explained.

"Knocked out? Pul-ease, that's just an excuse to not participate with us," Amy snorted.

"I dunno. Seems reasonable to me," Ichigo said.

"But how would Minami, Kana, and Toshino get knocked out? They don't appear to have any bumps on their heads to make it seem like they were hit by a blunt object," Jun said.

"Maybe he's just lying," Amy suggested.

"Maybe he's telling the truth. If only there was one way to figure out what knocked the three of them out," I muttered.

"Allow me to help."

"Look most of these people are dumb and wouldn't survive in a class trial on their own. And I figured that you're one of the more smarter ones here. I will offer you my help but just this once in trial," Toshino explained.

>His help? What's he planning?

(So this mini game is a little harder to explain since it's not canon to the main games. Yeah it's Logic Refresh from SDRA2 which is an amazing mini game from an amazing Fangan. Basically the words would be in normal text until the words that fit into the truth bullets would be bolded like this. Hopefully this makes sense. I blushed at this.

"Chloroform? Really? And you didn't investigate the storage room, how do you know if there is chloroform there?" Amy asked.

"Ichigo told me," Toshino explained.

"I only told two people. I thought someone else explained about the chloroform," Ichigo said.

"I think we can narrow it down to very few people then," Robin muttered.

"I h-have a question," Hirohito spoke up.

"What is it now?" Toshino asked, rolling his eyes.

"Ep! W-well I just w-wanted to ask about h-how the chloroform w-was used. I-is there some o-object that it was u-used on?" Hirohito asked.

"There was a cloth on the floor of the arcade. Is that what you are asking?" I asked and he nodded.

"Y-yeah. S-so it's possible that someone i-in the room could h-have used it on M-Minami and Kana," Hirohito explained.

"Now just hold on a second! Excluding Kana and Minami, all of us who were in the arcade were in the room all of the time. There's no way that one of us could have knocked both girls out, drag both of them to the circus room, have the time to tie Minami up and set her in the tank!" Amy pointed out.

"Are we forgetting the poison? The culprit must have had time to poison her and possibly having an accomplice in helping them get her to the tank to make us think that she died from drowning," Uyeda said.

"What about the blackout? Most of us were in the room at the time so we couldn't have set it up on time!" Toshiaki protested.

"There is one way that one of you set the blackout up on a timer and were in the arcade by the time the timer went off and the blackout happened," Ichigo pointed out.

"None of us who were in the arcade is guilty of killing Minami!" Kazuno shouted.

"Damn are we really at another split decision," Toshino asked.

"I've heard it!"

"Hoohoo~ another split decision? You all know what that means," Monkomi exclaimed.

"Uhh what's it called again. Something debate?" Toshiaki asked.

"I-I think he m-means 'Scrum debate,'" Hirohito explained.

"Thaaaaaaaaat's right! It's Scrum Debate time!" Monkomi said.

>Another debate? Well we are at a split decision and we need something to agree on. I guess this is the only way
