Prolouge: Ordinary or not
Well...
How did I get myself into this mess?
I should probably step back and explain.
I'm just some boy out there in the world...or am I?
I guess I should explain where it all went wrong.
I was in my room, playing a game with my friends. I think it was a block game of sorts.
Anyway, I logged off from the game and turned the recording camera off.
That was long recording session with [Redacted!], I thought as I lean back on my chair to stretch.
I tapped my fingers on my desk, thinking about what should I do next.
Well there is still light out so maybe I'll go out for a walk, I thought and got up.
"Mum! I'm going out for a walk, I'll be back in an hour or so," I called out to my mom.
"Ok [Redacted!]. Just be careful out there!" She responded.
"Ok!" I closed the door behind me and began to walk to the left, away from my house.
It was a rather peaceful evening, the leaves slowly falling onto the pathway and the cars going by.
It was lonely though. Just me walking by myself.
Nothing too alarming though. Done it a million of times.
Then I heard some footsteps from behind me.
I glanced over my shoulder. Looks like someone else was taking a walk.
They were wearing very dark clothing so it was hard to tell what gender they were, what age and what expression they were wearing.
I sped up, not wanting to be associated with shady folk.
I turned the corner, hoping to lose them.
My hopes were dampen because they keep finding me. No matter what I did, I couldn't shake them off.
I have to call the police or something! Please tell me that there's adults around here, I thought, reaching for my phone that was in my pocket.
I could hear them whisper, "I can't believe it's him!" They were also whispering some other weird sh*t but I was too busy, trying to get far away from them, to listen on what they were saying.
Then another person in the same dark clothing as the previous person was walking in front of me. Going straight towards me!
Sh*t! I thought and finally managed to get my phone out of my pocket.
I booked it onto the street where it was mainly empty, dialing 999.
I held my phone to my ear, waiting for someone to pick up.
"Hello how can we help you?" A voice asked.
"I'M BEING CHASED BY TWO SHADY PRICKS HE-," I shouted but was cut off due to me bumping into someone.
I fell backwards onto the street, letting go of my phone.
"You're coming with us," it was the second person!
"Hell no! I'm not dying tonight!" I shouted.
"Too bad," the first person said, coming up behind me.
Sh*t! I thought as I scramble to get up.
Big mistake.
Something whacked me behind my head hard and my vision went black.

"Hey! Are you ok?"
A voice next to me asked.
I lifted my head from my arms.
I looked around hurriedly and got up from the desk where I was sitting at.
"Whoa, calm down. We're not here to hurt you," a calm and motherly voice said, different from the other voice.
I looked to see a woman with short, black hair and freckles and a light brown cat with warm amber eyes.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Who are you?" The black haired woman asked back.
"We have no idea where we are or even who we are. All I remember was waking up on the floor here and spotted you and her. She woke up earlier than I did," the cat explained.
I stared at the cat in shocked.
"You...you can talk?!" I shouted.
The cat tilted her head.
"Is that wrong?" She asked.
"That's not...normal. Cats aren't supposed to talk. Oh boy," I said and cling onto my hair.
"You two! We have to get out of here, I have a feeling that we're not the only ones here," the black haired woman said.
"You're right. We need to see if we can team up with whoever else is here so we can find a way out," the cat said, determined.
I stood there in disbelief as the woman and the cat went over to the door where it was boarded up.
"Step back," the woman grabbed on of the boards, put a foot on the door and pulled as hard as she could.
After a few pulls, it finally came off.
She repeated the same thing to the second board and it came off easier than the first one.
The woman turned the doorknob and the door opened.
"Great let's go," the cat padded out the room.
The woman turned to leave but not before quickly turning around to face me.
"Are you coming? We'll leave you if you don't follow," she asked.
"I- yeah...," I said, hesitated.
I followed them out.
"Where should we start?" The cat asked.
"I'm not sure. Usually there should be a large group of people around here," the woman muttered.
At the corner of my eye, I spotted a word embroidered in gold.
G Y M
"Hey maybe we should start there," I said, pointing to the doors where the word was above.
"Right the gym," the woman said.
The cat walked over to the doors stood on two legs and pushed one open.
The woman walked over to help her.
Inside was a large group of people, young and old.
"Whoa new people!" A rather short boy with spiked haired exclaimed.
"That makes sixteen of us. I have a bad feeling about this," a hot pink haired boy with a beanie said.
A blonde boy wearing a green hoodie walked up to us.
"Hey do you have any idea where we are?" He asked.
The woman shook her head.
"Sadly no. I don't even remember my own name," she explained.
"Same. Hope we get an explanation for this," the boy said.
"Ahem! If I may have your attention please," a squeaky voice said.
"Whoa! Who said that?" A blue haired girl asked.
"It sounds like it's coming from the stage," a black haired girl with drills and a directors hat noted.
All eyes were on the stage.
Then a rather weird sight popped out on the stage.
It was a bear that was black and white with a red slash on the black side of its face.
"Awww how cute," a girl with pastel purple hair squealed.
"Wait what if it's dangerous," a brown haired woman in an orange dress said, holding the girl back.
"Who the f*ck are you?" The words escaped out of my mouth before I even realize it.
"I'm glad you asked. I am Monokuma, and I'll be your principal this year at Eclipse Academy!" The bear cheered.
Eclipse Academy? I never heard of that school.
"What? There's no way that this is the entrance exam that we were promised," a blonde haired girl said.
"Yeah, where the hell are the teachers?" A dinosaur looking girl with purple hair covering her eyes shouted.
"Relax. Things have changed for this year. Let's just say that...all of you are stuck here for the rest of your lives!" The bear shrilled with excitement.
...
