We gathered everyone else and went to the computer lab.

"So are you sure that this room doesn't have any cameras?" Hibiki asked.

"We checked. We double checked and even triple checked. There are no cameras," Ed sighed.

"We even checked in the most obscure places," Mukuro added on.

"Ok so we should discuss on what to do with the mastermind and how to find them," Minami said.

"Well first of all, where do we start?" Isabelle asked.

"We could make a deal with Monokuma, you know. We find out who the mastermind is, we get set free and if we don't...well I haven't thought of the consequences of that yet," I admitted.

"Death," Ed said, bluntly.

"Damn," I turned to look at him with a face that hopefully said, 'what the f*ck?'

"We can discuss crucial information here but everything else with what we find once investigating, because let's face it we'll need it, and it would be in obvious places where even the mastermind would see, we can discuss outside," Mukuro explained.

"Right," Minami then glanced at the two cats and Pikachu, who were playing on one of the laptops, "is it safe to bring them here?"

"Yes it is. I have been having conversations with them in my dorms and some of them may be interesting to you," Ed explained.

"Ok now time for the first step. We confront Monokuma," I spoke up.

"Are you sure that...we're ready for this?" Hibiki asked.

"Enough is enough. No more deaths. This needs to be the end. It's now or never," I stated and all eyes were on me.

It was at that moment that I realized, they're probably waiting for an inspirational speech or something.

I let out a sigh.

"We have been through so many deaths. From Link to Susie, too many lives have been lost thanks to the mastermind and this game. We need to finally stand up and fight for our freedom! Even though we have to go by Monokuma's rules, that doesn't mean that we can't bend them in order to bargain with him with the deal. We all have at least someone who is waiting for us and if we don't, who says that we should separate? All that matters is that no one else dies in this game, we escape and that's final because we're not going to stand for this bullsh*t any longer!" I exclaimed and everyone seemed to look at each before smiling and nodding.

"So...you with me in confronting Monokuma?" I asked.

"You're dragging us into this bullsh*t so might as well go along with it," Ed said.

"You have my word," Mukuro nodded.

"I'll try to be a big help!" Hibiki exclaimed.

"We got this! I know we can!" Isabelle cheered.

"Agreed," Minami said.

"Pika pika!" Pikachu added on.

"The three of us are with you," Nega said, referring to Pikachu, herself and Posi.

"It may be sad without Yu here but she left us a mission to live for her sake! And we shall!" Posi cheered.

"Alright! Let's go and confront that son of a b*tch!" I shouted and everyone yelled, "Yeah!"

We all ran out of the computer lab and went straight to the gym.

"Now what?" Minami asked.

"Do we call for Monokuma?" Isabelle asked.

"Oi f*cker! Get over here, we have something to tell you!" Ed shouted loudly.

"Ok that works," Isabelle noted.

Monokuma popped up.

"What?!" He didn't seem happy at all.

"Let's make a deal!" I shouted.

"A deal? What deal?" Monokuma asked, genuinely confused.

"We're sick of this game, we want out," I started.

"And I told you that the only way out of here is to kill one another!" Monokuma snapped.

"That's what he was getting to," Ed rolled his eyes.

"We want to make a deal with you. If we can find out who is the mastermind, aka the one who controls you, we will be set free," Isabelle said.

"And what if you don't?" Monokuma asked.

"Then same rules apply when we don't figure out who the blacken is. We get punished," Mukuro replied.

"Hmmm, interesting. What if I refuse this deal?" Monokuma asked.

"Your ultimate goal is to make us feel despair right? What other way to make us feel despair is when we think we got the mastermind and our way out and turns out that we're wrong," Hibiki explained.

"And that we all die knowing that we couldn't make it out alive. That would be enough to satisfy your twisted desire," Minami said.

"Only if you win the deal," I added on quickly.

"And all you want in return if you win, is your freedom?" Monokuma asked and we nodded.

"Oh and the freedom of these guys," Ed pointed to Pikachu, Nega and Posi.

"Ugh fine. I accept that deal. Now there's no way that you'll ever figure it out though. However, I will open up the rest of the floors so investigate all you want. You'll still never get it though," Monokuma laughed.

"You underestimate us," I said.

I swore I could have seen a flicker of fear on Monokuma's face but it must have disappeared because he then grinned.

"Good luck students! You'll need it," he disappeared.

We stood there in silence.

"..."

"Now we investigate?" Isabelle asked.

"We investigate. First we'll start off with the rooms that we know and then we branch off from there into the new areas that Monokuma opened up. That should be reasonable," I said.

"We should go in groups. Remember though, no murdering each other while doing this," Minami said.

"Wouldn't dream of it," Hibiki said.

"There's six of us so that means two groups of three. And I guess, they could go with whoever," Isabelle looked at Pikachu, Nega and Posi.

"Pika pika," Pikachu said and nodded at Nega.

"Since there's an uneven amount of us, two will go in one group while one will go with another. Pikachu and I will be in a group," Nega explained.

"Aww man. Fine I guess," Posi rolled his eyes.

"I suppose you three are in a group?" Minami asked, pointing to Mukuro, Ed and I.

"If you want to," I glanced at the two of them and they nodded.

"Alright, Hibiki and Isabelle are with me," Minami said.

"I'll go with you," Posi said and Isabelle picked him up in her paws.

"Meaning that Pikachu and I will go with them," Nega pointed to our group.

"Right," Ed nodded and picked Pikachu up.

I decided to take Nega and she comfortably sat upon my head.

"We meet back in the...you know what room," Mukuro whispered and we all nodded.

It's time.

We're so close. Yet so far. Idk if I'll finish this by the end of February. That's the goal but I don't think I'll be able to make it on time. Still early 2023 though!
