Chapter 2 Daily Life part 5

(Two days later. Nothing interesting happened during those two days)

Whoever thought going to the pool today...not their best idea.

Ok Leafpool suggested that we needed to cool down for a bit because we were still pretty on edge (not as much though due to the volleyball game two days ago) and Ash suggested that why don't we use the pool.

Susie even added that nobody has used it and why not put it to good use.

So that's why we're all here. Ok not all, some of us are here.

Why did I go? Because I got dragged from my room by Kazuichi and Susie. Didn't ask for my opinion but f*cking hell, I'm here now.

"So how are you holding up?" Daisy came up to with Leafpool just behind her.

"Depends on what you mean," I grumbled, holding onto the flamingo floatie closer.

"She means right now. As in, how are you holding up right now. Are you ok, do you need anything?" Leafpool explained.

I shook my head.

"Thanks but no thanks. I'd rather not have you two worry that much about me. I'm serious, I'm fine," I assured them.

"Ok. Well if you need anything, just ask," Daisy said and left to go talk with Mami.

Leafpool sat up straight, curling her tail around her.

She just looked at me, concerned.

"I'm fine. I'm just sleepy," I yawned.

She tilted her head at this.

"Have you been sleeping well lately? I get we're in a dangerous situation but you got to get plenty of rest in order to go about your day. Who knows when...well not that anyone would go on and do that now but...hah...," Leafpool tried explaining.

"I have been getting an hour of sleep. That should be enough," I said.

"How old are you again?" Leafpool asked, sternly.

I stayed quiet at this.

Am I sixteen or seventeen? Hmm can't remember now, I thought before shrugging.

"I hear that adult two-legs need less sleep than teenage two-legs. You are a teenage two-leg, you need more than one hour," Leafpool explained.

"Yeah yeah, I'll consider it," I said.

"I worry about all of you," Leafpool said.

"And I appreciate that. I seriously do but I had a lot of things on my mind that keeps me up. Once we find a way out, I'll sleep as much as I can so you wouldn't need to worry," I assured her.

"Do you promise that?" She asked.

"Yeah," I said.

"Not the sleeping thing. Do you promise that you'll get out of here?" Leafpool asked.

...

"Th-that's a hard promise to keep," I admitted.

"Yeah...," Leafpool said, looking at her paws.

I felt bad; I took a deep breath.

"Hey we'll all get out of here. I promise that whoever you have waiting for, that they'll see you again. I promise that," I said.

"Wait actually?" Leafpool looked shocked.

"Yep!"

"That's a bold promise. I wasn't actually thinking that you'll respond to that but ok then," Leafpool meowed, unsure.

"Don't worry about it. Big man Tommy never goes down on a promise," I assured her.

"Ok...," Leafpool got up and left to chat with Mukuro.

Even with my confidence, am I able to keep that promise? I wondered.

I yawned again.

Ok maybe I should have slept last night. No one would notice if I rested my eyes for a bit, I thought as my eyes felt heavy.

...

...

...

"Tommy?"

I jolted awake.

"Huh?" I asked and looked around.

Isabelle was the one who spoke.

"Have you been sleeping in the water on the flamingo?" She asked.

"Sleep? Pfft nah," I joked.

She tilted her head in confusion.

"Umm...how long has it been?" I asked.

"An hour. The lights flickered a little but we dismissed it as just a technical issue," Isabelle explained.

"So who's left in the pool?" I asked.

"Just Lloyd, Mukuro, Mami and I. Everyone else who was here left," Isabelle replied.

I sighed, "I'm getting out."

I tossed the flamingo floatie off and got out.

I went to the boys changing room, took a quick shower and changed into my regular clothes.

I was drying off my hair with a towel when I heard some noises from above.

Hmmm?

I looked up to see that there was a vent in here. It sounded like something or someone was moving around in there.

I felt the urge to say something but I didn't remember what. All I know is that it will annoy the hell out of some people.

But back to seriousness, who the hell is up there?!

"Hello?" I called out and immediately covered my mouth with my hand.

The noises stopped but resumed quickly this time faster.

What the hell?! I thought.

I ran out of the changing room, towel on head, and tried to track down where it will lead.

When I could finally track it down, it was just an empty vent. No one was in there.

Suspicious, I thought.

Ding Dong Bing Bong

"A body has been discovered! Please head to the kitchen to begin the investigation. After a while of investigation will the class trial begin. Gooooooooood luck students!" Monokuma said from the speakers.

....

Thunk!

"Ow...," I whined as I held onto my fist.

Not again. NOT F*CKING AGAIN!!!!

Someone had died. Damn it!

I grumbled some colorful language under my breath as I rubbed on my fist.

The kitchen is where the body is right? I looked around at where I was.

Isn't this the hallway where the theater is connected to the kitchen?

I took a left and ended up in the kitchen.

I could already hear the crying, the disbelief. All the sounds that someone makes when someone has died.

CW: dead body

Why did it have to be her?

A/N: didn't expect that did ya!

Ok maybe since I have been hinting at a death this chapter on my MB.

Anyway who do you think killed her?

Take a guess, you might be right or wrong. Who knows, who knows :)
