Chapter 1 Daily Life part 3: FTE

I spotted Mukuro in her dorm. She was holding a chess piece.

I knocked on the frame of the door, not wanting a repeat of last time.

"Oh Tommy, how's it going?" She asked, looking up at from the chess piece.

"I'm bored, are you free right now?" I asked, folding my arms and pouting.

She softly laughed.

"You may not be a child but you sure act like one. Yeah, want to play chess? If you don't know how, I'll teach you," Mukuro said.

Hang out with Mukuro?

[Yes]                         No

You decided to hang out with Mukuro!

Mukuro set up a small table and placed the chess board.

"White always goes first in chess. I'll be white so I can show you how it's done," Mukuro suggested.

"Sure," I grabbed the black pieces.

Mukuro started to teach me how to play. It was harder than it looks.

I had to take breaks to go and yell at stuff, mainly Mukuro's lamp. That was amusing to her.

I feel like Mukuro and I grew closer.

"Hey Tommy, I have a question to ask you. Do you happen to have any siblings?" Mukuro asked.

I looked up from the chessboard.

"Not really. Technically I'm an only child but I do have a family dynamic with my friends. Two are like my older brothers, one is like my twin, another is like my brother in law (due to him being platonically married to my twin) and another is like the tired dad that watches over us. In the family dynamic, I'm the youngest," I explained.

"Are you on good terms with your twin?" Mukuro asked.

"Yeah why?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I...let's just say that I'm not on very good terms with my own twin. Even though yours is a friend, mine is my actual blood twin," Mukuro explained, making a fist.

I felt like I was treading on dangerous territory, so I dropped the conversation.

"I should go now. I'll see you around," I said and waved goodbye.

"Ok bye," Mukuro waved. She seemed happier than she was a few seconds ago.

I left her dorm to see where can I go now.

I spotted Lloyd in the hallway next to his own dorm.

"Oh hey Tommy. How's it going?" He asked.

"Nothing much. I'm just looking for things to do," I sighed.

"Well I'm not doing anything right now. Want to talk to pass the time?" Lloyd asked.

Hang out with Lloyd?

[Yes] No

You decided to hang out with Lloyd!

Lloyd and I began to chat about different topics.

Something small like favorite foods and different music tastes.

Lloyd was an interesting guy. He has that mix of cool guy and goofy dork.

He started to ramble about this comic series that he really loves ever since he was a kid while I stood there and listened.

I feel like Lloyd and I grew closer.

"So you lived in a rather large city?" He asked as soon as he was done rambling.

"Yeah it's pretty large. Loads of people," I said.

"Interesting. Throughout my childhood, I didn't really lived in one because of me being left at a boarding school. And of course it was hard especially when I finally got out," Lloyd explained.

"What happened once you got out?" I asked.

"Training. And loads of it. My uncle and my brothers had to train me to become a ninja to...well stop my father and save the city. I did get frustrated but at the end, it was worth it. Now I can use my skills to help others," Lloyd explained.

"That sounds rough. Glad it all works out for you," I said.

Lloyd stayed quiet at this.

"Yeah...it did," he muttered.

I wanted to know more of what he meant but something interrupted our conversation.

Bing Bong!

"Everyone head to the gym for a special announcement! Anyone refusing to come will suffer a painful punishment," Monokuma said from the speakers and screen that he appeared.

"Well off we go. Monokuma doesn't seem like he's joking about the whole painful punishment thing," Lloyd said.

"Alright," I nodded.

We walked to the gym where the others were already gathered.

"I wonder what that damn bear wants this time?" Susie asked.

"Hopefully something good would happen. Or at least something better than what we're dealing with," Mami said.

"Knowing Monokuma, he only tends to make things worse," Kazuichi muttered.

"Upupupupu~ listen here students!" Monokuma suddenly said.

He appeared with a box to his side.

"What's that?" Sky asked.

"Can't you read? It says 'Motives.' It's motives for you all to kill!" Monokuma cheered.

Yeah Kazuichi was right. Monokuma tends to worsen things.
