Now for Chiaki, my number one favourite girl in the whole series.

I know that the fan base is completely divided when it comes to Chiaki, one side likes her, whereas the other doesn't.

From the moment I saw her, I thought she was in some way connected to Chihiro and that she was really cute looking. After learning she was the Ultimate Gamer, I became more interested in her. Her sleepy and monotone way of talking was adorable along with her calm and caring personality, you can tell she deeply cared for everyone, and the way she always lit up when talking about games was just too adorable, along with the references she made.

Her lack of knowledge on a variety of ordinary subjects, like where milk comes from, how she doesn't understand romance, hence making her curious about it and how uncomfortable she feels when around animals, really gives the impression that she doesn't get out a lot, but in reality it's just because of her being an AI that hasn't existed for long enough to know these things. Her occasional playful moments, such as playing pranks on Hajime were quite funny despite coming off as a weird and a tad creepy.

She was a really great and useful character as she always helped out a lot in the investigations and the trials, like drawing up a map of the Old Hotel building and one for the classroom where Natsumi was murdered, when the cast was trying to solve the murder of the Twilight Syndrome Murder game.

Her free time events and interactions with Hajime where always my favourite, as he helped to educate Chiaki about the world and certain topics. Like in Chapter 4 when Hajime was starving in the Funhouse, Chiaki saved him from entering the Final Dead Room as she was worried about him and telling him that wouldn't find chance of escaping from winning.

And god, when it was confirmed she was the traitor, my heart shattered, especially from when she congratulated the cast on figuring it out. Then her execution came, which took my already shattered heart and grinded the shards into dust.

And her talk with Hajime during the final Class Trial is my favourite moment of Danganronpa. She helped him with the problems he had been dealing with all his life, and that he can make his future even if Despair is part of that future.

Despite what a lot of people say, I actually like DR3 Chiaki. I was so happy to see her again but honestly wished we got some backstory on her. Her relationship with her class and Chisa were so sweet, as if they were a family. And it was pretty obvious that she liked Hajime, she even stayed and waited for him after school, unfortunately he didn't show up after they're last meeting.

Then...the execution happened, and god did it make me cry, even more then her AI counterparts execution. The pain and emotions she displayed were really heartbreaking, and the fact that she pushed on in the maze really shows just how she cares for her class. Her talk with Izuru was sad as well, as Chiaki tried so hard to reach out to Hajime, but thanks to her, Izuru became interested in hope, if that never happened, then the events of DR2 wouldn't have occurred at all.

Now onto her design, I really love her hoodie and the cat ears it has, it's quite fitting for Chiaki, along with her cat backpack. It's quite cute. Her pale skin really shows how much she stays inside, playing games. Her white swimsuit really suits her, really shows how innocent she is.

And that's that for Chiaki and I award with a 9.5/10
