Mokotos pov

"eep!"

Kazuichi clung to me as a rat ran past our feet. I sighed. Kazuichi was a bit of a cowerd and that's putting it lightly! He often hangs around me since my luck can protect him as he puts it. I don't mind though. It nice to have company.

"it's ok kazzy. The Rats gone" I said reassuringly to the boy who has his eyes squeezed shut.

He slowly opened his eyes and let out a sigh of relief. He turned to me with a sharp tooth smile "thanks mokoto" he wrapped his arms around my waist and snuggled into my back "your a real hero!"

I felt a blush creep up my face. He's never done that before!
