"hey are you alright?" I asked softly.

The girl jumped at my voice "w-who are you?" the girl stuttered.

"I'm kazuichi souda" I took a seat next to her "so what's got you so upset?"

"n-no way I'm t-telling you!" she yelled "y-you'll just t-think I'm p-pathetic!"

"hey I've been chasing the same girl for the past six months without any success and my friends think I'm a laughing stock. It doesn't get more pathetic than that" I smiled reassuringly at her.

"y-you think that's bad? A-at least you h-have friends" she sighed "I-I have no-no one except m-master Byakuya b-but even he h-hates me now. He s-said he h-hopes I d-die in a ditch!" she burst into tears again.

"what a scumbag" I said in disgust.

"y-you really think so?" she took off her glasses off to wipe the tears away.

"definitely!" I beamed "tell you what how about I be your first friend. Maybe that way we can be less pathetic"
