Still my POV

When I first came to, I felt something soft beneath me.

Probably a bed.

My body ached all over like I had just run a marathon or something.

I tried sitting up, but I only got about halfway up before I collapsed onto the bed again.

"Becca!  You're ok!"  I heard ilbarker's voice say.

I looked in the direction of the voice to see the 3 of them standing up from chairs and walking over.

I sighed.  Hi....

"How...are you feeling?"  Cassia asked.

Achy.  Very achy.  And weak.  Not too surprising, unfortunately.  I've never really had powers before, so exerting nearly all my powers isn't exactly helpful.  It'll probably be a while before I can actually get up on my own.

Kit rolled her eyes.  "That's definitely not helpful.  Please don't do that again, k?  You handicapped equals more time being hostage for the...well, hostages."

I realized that.  Plus, I'm unsure of how to get us back to the castle with me in this state.

"Maybe...Sky can help?"  Cassia suggested.

I shook my head.  Absolutely not.  For one, we have to make sure he's even willing to come with us.  I'm very, very sure he hates me, so if he agrees to come, we cannot ask more from him.  You do realize I did practically kill his lover?

"It'd be...possible for me to...carry ilbarker...for a while?"  Kit said suggestively.

I sighed.  A while.  It took us...what?  2 hours to get here?  And that was me carrying Cassia and ilbarker the whole way with a ten-minute break after, like, an hour.  You and ilbarker together will strain your wings, and I don't want that.  And, if Sky's in the equation, I don't see any way we can back within a couple days!

Yeesh, you worry too much.  Leave it to me.  I can teleport you all back there.

Umm...how?  It's one thing going from one dimension to another, but isn't teleporting within the same dimension a bit cheaty?

Hmm...think of this like a video game.  You start somewhere and get somewhere else after a long period.  You really didn't want to walk to and fro, so you left a checkpoint where you started.  Think of the Great Hall as the checkpoint.  And here now.  Checkpoints connect.  I'm your line to and fro, so don't worry about transport.  Just get Sky's consent.

Cassia looked at me and the others for a moment longer before heading towards the door leading out of the room.  She opened it and said something to someone before closing it again.

"Sky should be coming in soon."

Were there...guards out there?

Cassia nodded.

I was honestly surprised I wasn't in a cell or something.  I guess he might have some faith in me.

So...anything interesting happen?

"Well, a few people kinda freaked out when they saw Kit with her huge wings and a panther following behind her with a body and several guards behind that."  ilbarker laughed.

Our chat ended abruptly when the door opened again, revealing a rather irritated Sky.

He closed the door and grabbed a chair from somewhere, pulling it to be a few feet from me.  He then sat in it.

We stared at each other awkwardly for what felt like hours but was most likely a minute or so.

"Insert awkward silence here."  Cassia muttered.

I couldn't help it.  I cracked a smile, and so did Sky.

I sighed.  Well....

Sky sighed.  "Look, every instinct in me is saying to not trust you, but...at the same time, trust you.  It's weird."

Bro, you have NO idea.  My brain fights itself all freaking day.

He sighed again, a small smile on his face.  "So...my help?  You were a bit vague out there."

Yeah...it has to do with the castle.  I don't know how, but I somehow got back there, and these readers were there, too----

"Wait, weren't you two chanting her death?"  Sky blurted, staring at Cassia and Kit.  Then to ilbarker.  "And aren't you supposed to be dead, too?"

Don't ask.  I don't understand myself.  Anyways, long story short, I have to free the spirits of the castle to save friends and family that they are holding hostage.  I've freed Jess and am currently on Ty who wants to do that epic jump map that he was a hologram in.

"Epic Jump Map Butter Edition?"

I nodded.  Yeah, that one.  He wants you and Jason, though we don't know where Jason is....

"Wait, TrueMU Jason?"  He asked, sounding happily surprised.

I nodded.  Yeah.  Do you know where he is?

He stood up quickly.  "I'll be right back."

He left the room, leaving us very confused.

"Umm...does Jason live here?"  ilbarker asked.

Well, mostly confused.

...Insert long break here that nothing was written because of probable writer's block and also laziness of not wanting to ask for help and not liking to ask for help....  And maybe spoiling the plot to any of the readers would be kinda unfair to the others.

The author is probably thankful for the offer, though!  :P

Anyways, we sat in somewhat more awkward silence for a while when the doors opened again, showing Sky and...a blue astronaut with an orange visor!

Woah...Jason was in the kingdom?!  Nice!

Jason closed the door behind him and stated at us in slight surprise, seeing as we weren't the same dimensions as him.

"Well, he's been staying in my kingdom for a while...."

Well, that's great! That, at least, is covered.  If...well...you're ok with...coming with us?

Jason shrugged.  "I don't really have anything going on at the moment, so I'm free for whatever as long as it's not dangerous."

Uhhh....

Don't worry, it's not dangerous.

Jason looked around confused.  "Who the heck said that?"

Oh, um, me.  I'm just...a mysterious voice.  Don't worry about it.

"Ok...."

I stretched internally and tried sitting up again.

I was able to prop myself up without too much trouble.

Well...we've got Jason's consent.  What...about you, Sky?

He looked away and sighed.  "I...I...want to see Jin again...."

I nodded.  I know.  But...what about Ty?  I was...considering doing Jin after Ty because I'm fairly sure his thing to move on is you, but...what do you want to do?

"You're...asking me?"  He asked, turning back to me.

I mean, yeah.  I need you, but...if you want to see Jin first...I'd understand.

He nodded.  "I do.  I don't want to seem selfish, but I really want to see him."

I shook my head.  Sky, it's...my fault that all of this is happening.  This may be about my friends and family, but I don't want to be selfish, either.  This book is about me fixing my mistakes, not...specifically about saving hostages.  That's more of a motivational thing.

He looked at Jason and at the readers.

"I want to see Jin first, but it's a deal."

I fist-pumped internally and turned to the screen for the A/N.

Yes!  Sky's coming with us!  That's a success!

But seriously, though, who's the voice?  I can't be the only one who wants to know.

What?  I may be in a book, but I still know the date in the real world!
