a/n: i've been feeling super inspired with my newer stories oh my gosh and i don't know why. so enjoy this update, hopefully it's good lol

"hey damn-eron!"

"what is it?"

"did you just hear what i called you? i said 'damn-eron' instead of 'dameron,' get it? get it?"

"yes i get it."

rey pouted, "then why aren't you laughing?"

"because you aren't funny."

she made a face, "i thought you loved me and my jokes."

"i love you but not your jokes," poe made a goofy grin and bent down on a knee and clutched her hand. "thou art the artest shakespearean babe that ever existed on thy plant, thou art not funny though. a mule art funnier than thee."

"well thou art an arsehole," the pair soon bursted into loud laughter. but the moment of pure happiness soon ended after ren came into the room.

"what are you two doing?"

rey turned around to face him, a stupid grin still apparent on her face. "fine gentleman we art having merriment."

"well you're at work, this behavior needs to stop."

"thou art just jealous."

ren crossed his arms, "why would i be jealous of you shakespearean speaking fools?"

"thou art jealous of poe and his fine arse." rey snickered, enjoying ren's anger.

"i'm not jealous!"

"thou art very jealous."

"i'm not rey. and stop with the stupid talk! your shift starts soon and i don't want to fire you."

"i thought you can't fire me."

"i'll find a way to. now get to work."

"who pissed in his coffee this morning?"
rey whispered to poe before going to the front.

a young woman came to the desk first a wide smile on her face.

"hello, how may i help you?"

"is someone named ben here?"

"who?"

"ben solo? his father owns this place?"

rey raised her eyebrows in confusion.

"and what's your name?"

"bazine."

"i-i'll go get him."

she gave the woman a small smile before heading towards the back.

"ren? are you there?"

he didn't seem to be in sight but the chair to his desk was pushed out and papers were scattered on the top.

a pen was sitting on the side of an open notebook and rey started to read what was written, since curiosity had gotten the best of her.

"what are you doing in here?"

rey's eyes widened in surprise and she turned around quickly to face him, her cheeks red from embarrassment.

"rey what are you doing here? you should be outside tending customers."

"poe is doing that right now."

"so? i want two people at the counter at all times."

"a woman wanted to see you. she said she needed to talk to a 'ben solo' is that you?"

his mouth widened a little in obvious shock and his gaze went hard.

"what's her name?"

"bazine."

when rey arrived home, the usual dandelion lay still on her doorstep.

she picked it up, mimicking her usual routine. her lips pursued and she blew softly at the flower. a few blows were needed but soon the small seeds were floating off into the air once again.

the words written in ren's notebook were fresh on her mind. the lyrics seemed to have reminded her of the song she heard him sing yesterday.

rey didn't exactly want to admit it but the words were quite catchy and his voice wasn't that bad.

but she couldn't shake the feeling that he'd written the song about someone. rey didn't know much about songwriting but what she did know was that a song like that would have to be a result of great emotion.

kind of like a heartbreak.

a/n: okay so honestly my favorite part of this chapter was the moment between rey and poe. i wanted a funny and cute damerey brotp type scene so that's how it ended up being written. ALSO i kind of rebooted "Enemies With Benefits" and wrote a new chapter for that finally lol. anyways i hope you enjoyed this chapter! ily all
