I don't know how I was convinced to come to this ball. All I wanted to do was curl up in the warmth of my sheets for the rest of my days. Hot trails of tears slipped down my face. Even though I'd thought I'd cried it all out. A head popped around my room corner, her luxurious blonde locks caressing her beautiful heart shaped face and complementing her olive skin.

"Roses?" I think I hate those flowers now, roses. Elegant beautiful flowers, delicate yet not harmless flowers. I couldn't bring myself to look at her. I was already going to the stupid ball this year again I didn't want to move more than necessary.

"Luna Rose you need to get out of that bed and start getting ready." I tuned out her words what did it matter if I got up or not. The bed dipped under the others weight.

"The world keeps moving, Luna. We have to go keep going to, no matter how hard." This brought on a fresh spring of tears. How? How could I move on? I'd just been dumped by my fiance. The one whom I loved for 7 years of my life. 7 years all down the drain. I looked up to meet Alexis's beautiful starblue eyes...Starblue? I blinked and they were back to ash grey..I was just imagining it. I slowly sat up and hugged myself. Alexis smiled as she hugged me.

"It'll be okay honey, cause we got- to go dancing. We won't stay young forever." I offered her a small smile as I slowly stood stumbling over boxes of pizza's and bottles of beer scattered across the floor. I finally made it to the bathroom looking at my reflection. I.was.horrified. There were streams of mascara and smudged lip stick from 3 days ago. My light caramel locks were worse than a rat's nest. Slowly I peeled off the leggings and shirt that clung to my body. As soon as I stepped beneath the water I was sent into ecstasy. It was heaven to be under the hot water. I didn't leave the warmth of heaven until my fingers and toes began to turn pruney before stepping out wrapping my towel around my body. I walked in to see dresses scattered about. I looked to Alexis whom only grinned handing me a million dresses to try on. After what seemed like hours of dressing up. We settled on a dark wine red dress with white jewels, that flourished around my legs and hugged my mid-section to the point of never breathing again. Alexis curled my dark locks into small ringlets, applying light touches of make-up.

"Oh, I feel like a proud mom who's baby is all grown up." I rolled my eyes as she dressed in a champagne gold dress. She grabbed both of our masks shoving them in her clutch. She looked at me and gave me an all knowing grin. 'This.....is going to be a long..night.'
