Sky helped Youngjae until one in the morning. She had initially planned to finish earlier, but she wanted to help Youngjae and decided to stay and assist him. It still wasn't perfect, but it would suffice for the next rehearsal, where she could explain it to the others if necessary.
"We thought you wouldn't come today," Jackson chuckled as Sky entered the studio. She held choreography boards in her hand, wore leggings with a tank top, and had her hair in a bun.
Today, she was determined to help them as much as possible because Park Jinyoung would be coming to check on them in three days.
She didn't say anything to the boys because she didn't want to make them nervous or put pressure on them. She just wanted them to learn and show him what they had learned in the past two weeks – and there was plenty.
"You won't get rid of me that easily, Jackson," she replied to him in Chinese. "Oh, and if you plan to skip training again today, you can leave right now. I don't want someone in the class who doesn't take it seriously."
"I take it seriously," he hissed at her. The others watched them in confusion because they didn't understand a word. The pair was speaking to each other in Chinese.
"I've been here for almost two weeks, and you haven't listened to me once. You ignore every word I say, do as you please, and leave during the training. You're not taking this seriously," Sky poked her finger into his chest.
"Maybe you should think about how you're training us," Jackson retorted, "you're acting more like our friend than a coach. You also said that this choreography is one of the harder ones you've come up with. Well, I don't know what's hard for you because this is just an average choreography that even a small child could learn."
"Someone forgot their wat-" Younghyun entered the room, but the others immediately stopped him and silenced him.
"Show me a small child who can handle my choreography! Show me, and then I'll be silent. I've seen you struggling with that choreography yourself, so please, just be quiet and ask me if you don't understand something, because this way you'll just embarrass yourself in front of Park Jinyoung," she began in a raised voice, but as she spoke more words, her tone calmed down.
Jackson remained silent for a moment. He glanced at the girl and at that moment spotted Younghyun.
Suddenly, he felt a strange sensation, as if something heavy had dropped on his heart. It was like being hit by an arrow.
"Your boyfriend is here," Jackson rolled his eyes and didn't forget to nudge Sky with his shoulder as he passed by her.
Mark and Jinyoung tried to stop him, but he brushed them off and left the room.
Sky didn't turn around. She stood with her back to the others, trying not to cry. She wanted to appear strong in front of the boys. She wanted them to see that she didn't care about Jackson.
"If you want to cry, you can go ahead," Younghyun placed his hand on her shoulder.
"We don't know what you two said, but you don't have to pretend to be strong in front of us, as if this doesn't affect you," Youngjae added.
"Thanks, guys, but I really am okay," Sky put on a smile and turned to the others. "Let's forget about him. Let him do whatever he wants. We'll show Park Jinyoung that you guys have what it takes to become idols."
"We'll make him eat his words," BamBam exclaimed.
"Why are you even here, Brian?" Yugyeom suddenly asked, realizing that Younghyun didn't belong to their group.
„There was a bottle outside, so I thought it was one of you," he raised the bottle he was holding.
"That's mine, thanks," Sky took the bottle from him and tossed it into the corner of the room.
"Well, I'll be going then," he smiled at Sky. "Take care, guys, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you," he said as he left.
"What's going on between you and Brian?" BamBam suddenly asked. Sky widened her eyes in surprise, and BamBam received a slap from Jaebeom, who stood behind him.
"That's none of your business. Her life is her own," He snapped at him.
"We're just friends with Brian," she replied. She wanted to say Younghyun, as she still didn't know why they called him Brian, but Brian suited him incredibly well, so she went with it.
"He probably wants something more," Yugyeom chuckled and gave BamBam a high-five.
Sky didn't think like this. It didn't occur to her that he might want something more from her.
Honestly, Sky didn't even look at him with the thought of dating him. Yes, he was handsome, very much so. But that didn't mean she wanted to consider him as a boyfriend. You can say that someone is very good-looking even if they're just a friend.
On the other hand, she had been thinking about the brunet who had been ignoring her, argued with her today, and didn't spare a minute of his day for her quite a bit in the past few days.
Jackson was handsome too, and many girls would definitely want to date him.
However, Sky didn't know if her thoughts were connected to what an idiot he was or if it was because she was attracted to him.
