Amanda

After finally finishing up the dance, I was able to look at it. I took my cup of water over to where Ally was pressing herself against her camera screen. She was smiling and wiping fake tears. "I'm so proud of me." I rolled my eyes. "Oh hush up, let me look," I said as I took the camera away from her clutches.

Overall, the dance was amazing. Of course, I noticed my own little hiccups and toy mess ups that made it but I liked it. It was a combination of lyrical with some acro and jazz. Ally chose the strangest song for me to dance to.

Ally had a huge smile. "Do you like?"
"I do, but-"
"Perfect," she said cutting me off, "I'll edit some of the bloopers out and maybe put those in a compilation so we can just laugh at ourselves." She took her camera away from me and waved goodbye. Alone I was again.

I thought about the video and the contest. How many other people have joined? Are they more flexible than me? Well, probably since they dance all the time. I wonder if any people did it for fun...like me.

Erik POV (please don't kill me)

My manager was pacing as we looked at some of the entries. We already have two girls and three boys but she's worried about something.

"What if they can't come? What if one of them drops out or gets incredibly sick? Or what if...." I turn around and say, "It's fine, alright. Also, I think we have our third girl." Since this contest was my idea (and she thought I was out of my mind), we agreed to look at each contestant together and evaluate them based on style, performance, how they move, and there has to be something different about them.

Cheryl stops pacing and sits down in tentatively. I click on the video I was watching before.

The same girl pops up with straight dirty blonde hair pulled into a ponytail. She has hazel eyes and fair skin. "Hello, my name is Amanda Cerrny and live in Colon, Nebraska. My phone number and email will be down below," she pointed toward the ground where in the email is her email and two phone numbers. "I want to audition because it would be nice to get a new lookout on dance and learn many new styles and choreography. I have been dancing since I was five and have loved it ever since. This passion has taken me through my teen years and has changed me to who I am today. Thank you for your time."

Cheryl paused the video and commented, "She is very presentable and looks like a dancer." I smiled, "wait until you see her dance." I pressed the play button.

She started on the ground, laying down as if she were dead. The music started to play but she didn't move until the next beat. Amanda moved her arms in waves as she lifted her body up. As the words came, she wiped her head around, hair flying in many directions and then she pretended to stab herself. Mostly, she went with the words of the song and I really like it when people connect to the song they're dancing to. I looked over at Cheryl. She looked like she was studying her every move.

She ends the last beat on the ground again. I looked at my manager who then, looked back at me. "So..." She sighed. "She looked off at some points but overall nice. Too young looking though." I scrunched my eyebrows together. "So, who cares if you're too young looking-" "The media, the internet." I rolled my eyes. "The internet wants specifics and they are nit looking for age and how you look."

"BLLAHH!!!" I heard sounds coming from the video that I had not paused. Cheryl and I both stared at what we we started to watch.

Amanda was starting her speech, "Hi...does that sound too informal? Like hey is a no go and hello sounds too formal..." A voice came from the back of the camera saying, "Oh my god, you are overthinking too much." More clips were shown of her just goofing around and another showed her dancing and she was doing her handstand into a brigade but instead, she fell on the wood.

I laughed. "I say no," Cheryl commented. I paused the video, "Just because she being herself, means that she doesn't get in. That's absurd." Cheryl sighed and answered, "That's not it. She need to work on her flexibility and her technique. One thing I do like is that she connects to the music and she flows with every step. But she's too young looking and we want people who know there stuff. She's an amateur."

I was startled by what Cheryl had just said. "Too young looking? She flows and connects. That's one huge thing that every dancer wants to do. We can work on her techniques and flexibility but if she tried for this, she's not an amateur. I think she's perfect for the part."

At this point, it looked like Cheryl had given up from tiredness and the amount of work load she had insured since I wanted to have non-professional dancers. She ran her hand through her hair and sighed once again. "Alright, you seem so dead set on this one it better be the one."
