Beomgyu was grinning, as he sighed.
"Ah, nothing, I know nothing."
He turned away from her, but she grabbed his hand.

"Beomgyu, tell me!" Nari asked, as he looked at her.

"Well, I believe they do exist. She, Mina, is a perfect example. But the thing is, we can't ask her. What if these are vampires who specialise in mind control? She won't be able to tell us anything, and it'll be a dead end. But," Beomgyu explained, rummaging through his bag as he pulled out a small box, "I read somewhere that blackthorn can be used to stop vampires. A crucifix, I suppose, that stop them from being able to control your mind. I mean, maybe even stop them from drinking from you, I'm not sure."

He passed the box to her, as she opened it - inside there was a beautiful silver pendant in the shape of a flower, which was filled with a small herb.

"Do you have any like, protection?" Nari asked him, offering him the necklace back.
He pointed to his ring.

"I'm all good, don't you worry about me. If I were you, I'd be extra careful around all the boys here, saying poor Mina was a target, they're probably a guy. I believe the vampire goes to our school, so be careful." Beomgyu explained, as she nodded.

"Okay, yeah, I trust you. But that's terrifying, don't you think?" Nari asked, as he shrugged.
"Depends. Only take the necklace off if I ask you too, okay?" He asked, as she nodded.

"Alright."

Then she clipped it on, not sure whether to believe it. Some dumb herb isn't really going to keep them away, is it?
Do vampires even actually exist, or is she just being dumb?

At lunch, rumours spread around the school about Mina, about how she apparently had some 'kinky' boyfriend, or a kink for this vampire stuff.
That, or she was apart of the occult.
She sat with Nari and Jihyo, as they all sat up on the schools roof.

"My life is ruined... it's literally just a bug bite!" She whined, as Nari rubbed her back.
"I know, I believe you." Nari reassured.

"Can I look at it? My mums a doctor, she knows about this sort of stuff. I can ask her what bug it was?" Nari asked, as Mina nodded, wiping her eyes as she pulled her hair back.

Nari just glanced at it. The punctures looked too big to be from just a bug, and they were so in line that it looked like one mouth had done it.

But it was already quite healed, which was weird, assuming that it was new.

"When did you notice it was there?" Nari asked.
"This morning." Mina responded, as Nari just held her hand.

"Am I able to take a photo? For my mum."

Mina nodded, as Nari pulled out her phone, quickly taking a picture.

"You should get like, a bug exorcist for your house." Jihyo said, as both Nari and Mina looked at her.

"You mean an exterminator?" Mina asked, as Jihyo nodded.
"Yeah, a bug exorcist!" She smiled, as all three girls burst into laughter.

"Yeonjun." Soobin asked quietly as they all sat together for lunch, out on the bleachers.

"Yes, Soobin." Yeonjun responded, gritting his teeth. He already knew what this would be about.

"Did you drink from that girl?" Soobin asked, as Yeonjun shook his head.

"I swear on my life I didn't. I have zero classes with her, I don't even know her!" Yeonjun defended.

"Which makes it all the much easier for you." Taehyun added, looking up at the two as he sat lower with Huening Kai.
Beomgyu was nowhere to be seen, but they assumed he was just still in class.
He wasn't interested in girls to their knowledge, anyway.

"Dude, it wasn't me. Please believe me." Yeonjun asked, as Soobin just stood up.

"I'm gonna go ask the girl. Then we'll see." Soobin said slowly, and in the blink of an eye, he was gone.

Nari glanced down at the necklace around her neck.
If it was really for warding off vampires, wouldn't it be better off with Mina than with her?
But, as she went to unclip the necklace, she froze.

She can't take it off, unless Beomgyu tells her too, right?

Yes, that's right...
So she lowered her hands, leaving the pendant around her neck.

Nari heard the door to the rooftop open, turning away from Jihyo and Mina's conversation.

"Soobin?" She questioned, as he just smiled slightly.

Mina and Jihyo turned as well.

"Mina, can we talk?"

Mina narrowed her eyes.

"I know you. You're the one that bit me, aren't you?"
