NO ONES POV

Dan and Dorothy were falling deep into the mountain from the whole the nome king made from his laughter.

"All the Precious stones in the world are made here....In my underground dominions all made for me buy my Nomes" the nome king says "So imagine how I feel when someone from the world above digs down and steals my treasures. All those emeralds in the emerald city really belong to me. I was just taking back what was mine to begin with"

As they fell they saw a lot of different emeralds as he talked.

"You have so much" Dorothy says.

"Beg you pardon?" Nome king asked not being able to hear them.

"YOU HAVE SO MUCH" Dan says yelling.

"That is not the point" nome king says. They land on a slippery wall and slide down and bang into someone "I am not the thief"

"Dorothy, Dan" scarecrow says.

"Scarecrow" they both said.

Just then a bright light showed up and he was gone.

They stand up.

"Your friend is the thief" nome king says showing on the wall.

"What happened to the scarecrow?" Dorothy asks.

"Where is he?" Dan asks.

"Oh. I transformed him into an ornament into an amusing and beautiful ornament for my palace I have been planning to do it for sometime and You 2 coming here reminding me" nome king says "thank you"

Dorothy then runs to the wall and he leaves and she kicks the wall.

"He never stole anything. They were there when he came" she looks at Dan and then starts crying and laying her head on the rock as she mumbles.

Dan then saw him reappear and rub her back.

"No, no, don't cry. Poor, poor Dorothy Gale from Kansas" she looks at him "I didn't realize he meant so much to y'all" nome king says.

"Well, yeah, he was the first friend we made when we came to Oz the first time" Dan says.

"And he didn't steal the emeralds they were there when he became king" Dorothy says.

He nods "all's not lost, Dorothy. I know just the thing to cheer you up" he points.

And then we heard screaming and they turned around and they saw their friends sliding this way like they did.

"You and your friends can play a little game.....and I bet you get the Scarecrow back after all" nome king says "you'd risk something for that, wouldn't you?"

Dan and Dorothy then joined their friends.

Meanwhile the wheelers just made it back the castle tired.

"All right then. Where's Dorothy and Dan? Where's that chicken?" They then tell her that they escaped and was heading to the nome king's mountain "take me to the Nome King you stupid idiots"

She then started head that way.

Meanwhile the nome king was explaining the rules and they sat on the couch.

"You can go and inspect my ornament collection each of you have 3 chances to guess which one is the scarecrow. If you touch the right object and say the word Oz at the same time the scarecrow will be restored and you may leave the palace" the nome king says "sounds fair enough?"

They think.

"What else can we do" tik tok says "he is a very powerful Magician"

"We're lucky he hasn't turned us to stone" jack says.

"They do have a point" Verago says.

Dan and Dorothy look at each other and then back to him.

"Alright, we except" Dan says.

"Oh, good" nome king says and moves his hand and they see a door way open "why doesn't the sofa go first"

They stand up.

"But I don't have anything to touch with" the Gump says.

"You can use your antlers" the nome king says.

"I should have quit while I was still ahead"

He then walks into it and it closes behind him.

"Shall we have some refreshments while we wait" a stone cup then appears in his hand.

After a few minutes cakes and drinks were brought.

And Dorothy and Dan tried it.

"How is it?" Jack asks.

"It's good" Dan says and then gives some to Verago.

"What is it?" Verago asks.

"Limestone pie and hot melted silver" nome king says.

They then put the drink down and then they heard rumbling.

"The king mentioned a risk" tik tok says "what is it that we are risking?"

Just then there was another flash and that scared them and they all fell. And the king changed a little from the thunderclap.

"What was that?" Verago asks.

"Next" the nome king says and the door opens again.

"Where's the Gump?" Dorothy asks.

"He's turned into an ornament" the nome king says.

"What do you mean?" Dan asks.

"An ornament. A knickknack. He failed to guess correctly so now he's become part of my collection" the nome king says.

"Oh, no" they said.

"But That's not fair" Dan says.

"Oh. You said you were willing to take a risk. It sounds fair to me.... and what I think is all that matters" nome king says.

"But you didn't tell us about it" Dorothy says.

"You didn't ask" nome king says "perhaps you'd like to visit my Fiery furnace" he points and they saw fire "next, the jaquin"

"Me" Verago says.

"No" Dan goes in front of him "I will not let him be turned into an ornament and if I had my magic I teach you otherwise" Dan says being mad.

"Well, it's either that or the Furnace" nome king says.

"Dan" he looks at Verago "I'll be ok"

Dan cries and hugs him "be careful"

He nods and then walks to the door and then closes.
