The watch on my wrist clicked.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

I only had 2 hours, 13 minutes and 21 seconds. What was I meant to do until I met my soulmate? I decided to go to the nearest library, I might just look at books to pass time. I do that anyway. I picked up my latest Pokemon manga book and wandered to my local library. I gave back the book and started to look around for a new one. I grabbed the next in the series and sat down. I started reading but all I could concentrate on was the annoying tick, tock, tick, tock in my head. I ignored it, flicking to the next page and scanning the small text.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

I sighed, flicking to the next page.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

It was annoying having that ticking sound playing over and over in my head like a broken record.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

I tried to avoid looking at my clock so I didn't know how much time had passed.

Seconds could have passed, minutes, an hour even. I didn't know.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

It was starting to give me a headache. I stood up, my chair scraping a little, but no one noticed. I walked to the counter, checking out the book and leaving the building. I finally glanced down at the watch on my wrist and what I saw made my heart beat faster.

I smiled to myself and took out my phone and put in my earphones. I mumbled a few of the lyrics for a while until I heard a laugh.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

There were two boys standing in front of them, one had a worried expression on his face. They were talking but I couldn't hear them, having my music up quite loud. They looked at me, shouting something, I couldn't quite make out what they were saying so I pulled out my earphones.

"Why are you staring?" The person who spoke repeated, he shared a confused look with the other.

"Oh," I walked a little closer, "Sorry."

Tick. Tock. Tick-

Then the ticking stopped. All of a sudden. I gasped, looking at my watch.

0 years, 0 months, 0 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds...

One of the two boys standing in front of me was my soulmate.

I soon figured out which when one gasped, looking at me with shock. "You're my soulmate!" We said and the exact same time.

"Told you." One muttered, "I'm Chris." He smiled and I did the same.

"I'm Phil." My soulmate said, grinning.

"Dan."
