"Phil.. is it okay if I sleep with you?" Dan asked, his voice quiet as he walked into the room in nothing but his underwear. Phil couldn't tear his gaze away from the younger boy but nodded anyway.

"Can't you sleep again?" Phil questioned, sitting up and putting his arm around Dan as he got into the bed with him. Dan just shook his head, leaning his head against Phil's bare chest.

"I'm sorry." Dan mumbled, frowning at the thought of him bothering Phil.

"Don't apologise, you nerd." Phil chuckled, tangling his hand into Dan's hair.

"I'm not a nerd." Dan pouted, pushing Phil away from him slightly so that they could meet eyes.

"Yes, you are." Dan rolled his eyes before watching Phil raise an unsurprised eyebrow.

"Not."

"Are."

"Not."

"You know.. we aren't going to get much sleep just sitting here talking."

"But I like it."

"You need your sleep." Phil leaned in and pressed his lips against Dan's cheek.

"I don't want to sleep." Dan groaned, awkward shuffling back on the bed so he was lying down, his head on Phil's chest again.

"You have to."

"No, I don't."

"You kind of do." Dan huffed, closing his eyes slightly as Phil tangled his hands into his hair.

"Will you at least kiss me first?"

"Dan, you're so awkward, you know that, right?"

"Of course I know that. People remind me every day." Phil then attached their lips for a couple of seconds before pulling back.

"There. Now goodnight."

"Phil." Dan groaned, dragging out the 'l'. "Kiss me again."

"Sleep, Dan!"

"No."

"Why not?"

"I don't want to."

"You do realise you sound like a toddler right now, right?"

"I don't care!" Phil sighed before leaning forward and pressing his lips against Dan's forehead.

"Please try and sleep.. for me?" Phil then delivered a short kiss to Dan's jawline.

"I won't be able to so what's the point in trying?" Phil rolled his eyes before turning over so that his chest was pressed against Dan's.

"Please?" Phil wrapped his arms around Dan's neck, making the younger boy shiver slightly. "Please?" Phil repeated, his face extremely close to Dan's, making Dan feel slightly uneasy.

"Fine but only if-" Phil moved forward and attached their lips, allowing them to move in sync. Dan moved his hands so that they were placed on Phil's bare chest, making Phil shiver slightly (Dan's hands were cold?). Phil pulled away with a dreamy smile but that only made Dan whine. So Phil rolled his eyes yet again, before unwrapping his arms from around Dan's neck and leaning forward to press his lips against the skin.

"Dan, we really need to sleep now.. It's getting late." Phil mumbled after pulling back again.

"Okay." Dan replied in a quiet, sleepy voice. He then yawned, proving that he was tired himself.

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight." Phil wrapped his arms back around Dan (which was surprisingly comfy since he was taller) and closed his eyes.

It wasn't long later until they were both sleeping soundly.
