Wow so I was listening to cute music the other day and I started to listen to Charlieissocoollike and Time To Reply came on and it made me want to write a songfic. IT JUST SEEMED SO PERFECT FOR PHAN?? If you don't know the song, LISTEN TO IT. It is so amazing and I have been listening to it on repeat for ages XD It's beautiful ^-^

Dan was scrolling through YouTube when he saw the thumbnail of a video. There was a man with black hair similar to his and he was smiling widely at the camera. The video was made by someone named AmazingPhil. Dan clicked into it and watched the beginning. He found himself smiling to himself: AmazingPhil seemed very funny but also a little insane. He was... adorable.

I quickly forgot you
And got on with my day
But then there you were
Back in my mind again

Dan turned off his laptop when he realised he had to get back to work. He carried on with his day and AmazingPhil completely slipped his mind. He talked to the customers like nothing had happened. He took the orders from the customers and scribbled them down in his little notebook.

The end of the day came fast and, as Dan was walking home, he began to think about AmazingPhil again.. maybe he could give him one more look?

Dan opened up Twitter and searched AmazingPhil. An account immediately popped up and Dan followed it without hesitation. He read a few of the most recent tweets and he was grinning widely. He was adorable. He really was.

Dan clicked back into YouTube and found AmazingPhil again. He watched more of his videos and was completely intrigued. AmazingPhil seemed so happy as he talked into the camera about random subjects. Dan subscribed and that was when he realised how many subscribers AmazingPhil had. A lot more people seemed to like him too.

It was impressive.

Dan woke up the next day and turned on his phone. He had a notification from YouTube saying AmazingPhil had uploaded a new video. Dan was quick to click into the notification and he immediately watched the new video. He was smiling so widely as Phil ranted about his day.

Dan chuckled loudly to himself and his mood had drastically improved.

The video ended and Dan made sure to like the video before opening Twitter. He typed in a Tweet and sent it with a smile. He hoped he could make AmazingPhil smile as much as he made him smile.

Dan was aware that he probably wouldn't get a response but he still had a secret hope that AmazingPhil would have the time to reply.

Dan got out of bed with a wide grin. For once, he was in a great mood, despite having work that day.

As soon as Dan returned home after work, he sat on his sofa with his laptop on his lap. He opened up YouTube and clicked into AmazingPhil. He found his first video and opened it.

He finished it with a smile and opened the next one.

...And the next.

...And the next.

Until he had watched every single one of his videos and the room was pitch black. He looked at the time and apparently he had watched AmazingPhil until 3am.

Dan hoped AmazingPhil would post a new video soon.

AmazingPhil liked anime, Muse and video games. How cool was that? Dan liked all those things too!

After binge watching all of AmazingPhil's videos, Dan felt like he knew everything about him. He opened up Twitter and found himself sending out another tweet towards the YouTuber.

Just watched every single @AmazingPhil video.. I am obsessed >.<

I know it sounds crazy
But I think if we met

We would end up friends

Dan fell in love with AmazingPhil. They were just so similar and that was why Dan was so obsessed. Dan had this secret hope that they could become friends.

If they met in person, they'd bond over their interests. They were practically the same person! They loved all of the same things which was absolutely amazing.

It was unlikely that Dan could befriend the YouTuber but he didn't care. AmazingPhil always said that anything could happen and unlikely things happened all the time.

So there was a possibility that they could have a friendship!

It was unlikely but it wasn't impossible. Nothing was impossible.

If only Phil would find the time to reply! Then Dan could tell him how similar they were! That would make their friendship possible!

It's been so long

Weeks passed and Dan was still unnoticed by his favourite YouTuber. AmazingPhil was barely responding to Tweets anymore and Dan's tweets always faded amongst the other fans'.

It wasn't that hard to write a simple, one sentence response.. was it? So why didn't AmazingPhil notice him?

Dan crossed his fingers and hoped with all his might. "Please find the time to reply." Dan muttered, his eyes clenched shut. He could only hope his wish would come true.

AmazingPhil uploaded a video!

Dan's face lit up and he clicked into the notification immediately. He watched the video before liking it. He couldn't help but notice that AmazingPhil didn't seem the same. It wasn't quite him?

Dan realised that AmazingPhil didn't seem as happy. His voice wasn't as chirpy and his smile wasn't as genuine.. That made Dan worry slightly.

Dan wondered if Phil had lost interest all of a sudden. He didn't seem as enthusiastic and passionate as he usually was. Dan sent out a quick Tweet asking him if he was okay.

Phil didn't respond to him. He responded to someone else.

@AmazingPhil: I am perfectly fine! Just really tired ^-^

At least he was okay...

But it just didn't work

Dan decided to watch AmazingPhil's old videos again in hopes of cheering him up.

He was still worrying that his favourite YouTuber wasn't okay anymore. He watched his first video again and just found himself frowning instead of smiling.

The chirpiness in AmazingPhil's old videos just made him notice how big the difference between his new and old self was.

It made Dan sad. He was so sad.. His favourite YouTuber just couldn't be sad.

Dan decided to Tweet him again.

I just watched your old videos again and you definitely don't seem okay. You can talk to me if you need to <3

Another few weeks passed and Dan was still upset about AmazingPhil possibly not being okay.

Then, one day, it clicked.

AmazingPhil wasn't his. He had to stop watching him. If his videos just upset Dan... he shouldn't be watching him anymore.

Dan definitely had fun watching AmazingPhil. He really did.

He opened up Twitter and unfollowed AmazingPhil. He sent him one last tweet with a sad smile.

Thank you for making me happy...

He then went into YouTube and stared at AmazingPhil's profile. His finger hovered over the subscribe button and, squinting his eyes, he unsubscribed.

So don't worry you don't have to reply.

Dan shut of his phone and softly smiled before muttering to himself, "I know you're busy so, don't worry, you don't have to reply." He then placed his phone on the side and left the room. He was going to distract himself with some anime.

Little did he know, his phone lit up just seconds after he left.
