Phill
HAPPY EASTER TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE IT! I hope you're having a nice day and eating lots of chocolate :p (also still sorry for my April Fools thing even though no one cared)
TW: Cheesy pick up line.
"The usual?" I nodded at the barista who put something into the till. I handed over the usual amount of money before stepping to the side to wait for my coffee. After a few minutes, my name was called and I received the beverage.
Phill.
Honestly? I came to the same coffee shop every day before school and not once had my name been spelt correctly. It's not like Phil was the rarest name in the world or the hardest to spell!

I couldn't even read what it said on the cup so I sighed, walking up to the cute barista. "For your information," I muttered and Dan (he had a name tag) raised an eyebrow. "P-h-i-l. It's not even hard to spell." Dan was biting his lip, as if trying not to laugh but I wasn't even finding the situation slightly humorous. "And what on earth is this meant to say?" I shoved the cup in his face, showing him the incoherent scribble that was meant to say Phil.
"That's not meant to say your name, you spork!" Dan retorted, giggling.
"How was I supposed to know that? The writing is horrible."
Dan blushed, glancing at his feet. "It says that I... uh... well it sounds stupid now. It's not important..." I squinted my eyes, trying to figure the guy out but then...
"Excuse me?" An older lady said and Dan turned to see a queue forming.
"I have to go."

Another long scrawl was written on my cup the next day. I could make out a few words: lost, number and yours. The rest was literally unreadable. "Dan?" I called out before I left. He turned and looked at me in confusion. "What does this say?"
"Uh... enjoy your coffee?" Dan replied, his voice shaking and his face bright red.
"No... I can make out a few words?"
"Okay, fine. It says..." Dan mumbled so quietly and quickly that I couldn't tell what he was saying. Well, I suppose he speaks as well as he writes.
"What?"
"I lost my number, can I borrow yours?"
I let out a loud laugh as he somehow got even redder (I didn't think it was possible but apparently it was).
"Don't laugh! It was Louise's idea! I know it's stupid..."
"No, it's cute." I was still laughing which probably made it look like I was lying to protect his feelings. I saw a pen lying on the counter and picked it up. "Where should I write it?" Dan couldn't even form a verbal response; he just handed me a napkin. I jotted down my number and gave it back to Dan with a confident smile.

Dan: Hi, it's Dan from the coffee shop
Phil: Yay!
Dan: ^-^
Phil: How are you?
Dan: Pretty good since I finally got your number after trying to ask a hundred times
Dan: Wait, that sounds creepy
Dan: I'm not a stalker, I promise!
Phil: Aw. Will you spell my name right from now on?
Dan: Phil. Yes. I don't need to get your attention anymore :p
How do you and your family celebrate Easter (if you do)?
I just get an Easter egg from my parents. We also have a roast dinner but nothing too special. :)
