When the moon fell in love with the sun
It was October 19, 2022, the day of Dan and Phil's wedding, and all seemed perfect as Dan and Phil recollected on how they came to be.
All was golden in the sky
Dan and Phil had met for the first time in person exactly 13 years ago, that would also be the moment Dan would start to feel whole again.
All was golden when the day met the night
At this point in Dan's life, he was a pretty good representation of the moon, dark and mysterious whereas Phil was like the sun, bright and shining. So it made perfect since that once they met, everything would be golden for them both.
When the sun found the moon
Dan had been a huge fan of Phil for awhile and finally one day, Phil noticed him. This would be the day to kickstart a legacy.
He was drinking tea in the garden
When Dan told Phil he had bought train tickets to go and finally see him in person, Phil had been drinking a cup of tea and accidentally dropped it out of excitement of finally seeing his other half, the moon to his sun.
Under the green umbrella trees
When Dan and Phil finally met in person, Phil had decided to take Dan to his favorite place, a small part of the forest near his house which had a small lake and was surrounded completely by umbrella trees.
In the middle of summer
Dan's eyes had always reminded Phil of the middle of summer for some reason. Despite Dan's eyes being brown, Phil always though about summer warmth when looking in them.
When the moon found the sun
Dan had no real best friend his whole life but once he found Phil, he had also found his first best friend.
He looked like he was barely hanging on
Dan had always been depressed due to not having any friends and barely had the will to live by the time he discovered Phil on YouTube.
But his eyes saved his life
Once Dan had one look at Phil's multicolored eyes, that seem to appear some majestic shade of blue, he had known he was home.
In the middle of summer
Phil's eyes can be as blue as the summer sky, one reason Dan loved them so much. Dan and Phil's eyes had reminded the other of some portion of summer they both love so dearly.

Summer, an important time for Dan and Phil seeing as they had moved during summer, gone on tour during summer, and even announced the release of their movies during summer. Summer was the perfect time for Dan and Phil.

If you were to be at their wedding now, you would see how they had chosen to get married during the sunset. This is when the sun and moon always met and they thought the perfect time to marry.

Dan and Phil became a duo once they met, they hosted a radio show, had a tour, won awards, and just did everything together so it made sense when Dan had asked Phil to marry him.
Summer
Dan had asked Phil to marry him on a warm summer night the year before. That was the year they had finally told their fans they had been dating ever since they met in 2009.

When Dan and Phil had won the best vlogger award together, that was knew everything would be golden for them, forever.

As Dan was preparing to go down the aisle to see Phil, he remembered how happy he felt once Phil had finally noticed him. Dan also remembered how everything seemed to be magical when he finally met Phil in person and how it was all golden for him.
Summer
Without knowing it, both Dan and Phil thought back to the summer of 2012. That was the impossible year for them with and even more impossible summer. Dan now felt so sorry whereas Phil sort of just was glad he had his Dan back for good.

Dan remembered that night so clearly. He and Phil had been staying in a hotel while searching for a flat in London. As the sun began to fade to make way for the sun, Dan had felt so stupid for making Phil get a different room and went to find him.

Dan finally found Phil's room two floors above his and knocked on the door. As soon as Phil opened it, Dan had ran into Phil's arms and just hugged Phil as he cried and apologized for everything.
Summer, summer, summer, summer
That summer had been a summer of healing and mending everything after the tragic no homo Howell start.
All was golden when the day met the night
Dan had finally felt whole again after mending things with his sun.
So he said "would it be alright
Phil told Dan he forgave him and everything would be fine. That night Dan had switched hotel rooms.
If we just sat and talked for a little while
Dan and Phil stayed up most of the night talking about things and finally, Dan had chosen to sleep in bed with his sun again. Phil was more then ecstatic to find out Dan was moving to his hotel room that night.
If in exchange for your time
Dan apologized for wasting so much time worrying about the fans finding out they were dating and causing them to actually drift apart. Phil didn't mind though, he would wait as long as his moon wanted, just as long as they could be together in the end.
