No POV

Nier and Yonah continue their way to the chisel tip and are climbing across across the wall as we continue to head to the chisel. However, When Nier jumps and grabs a ledge, the ice breaks apart and falls.

Man 1: Where are they?!

Man 2: Ugh. I fucking hate Midgard. How do we know they're even here?

Man 1: Because that hammer didn't fall on its own.

Man 2: Well... If we find them, I get the kid, right?

Man 1: What is the matter with you?

Man 2: Well you think that woman is still with 'em?

Man 1: If she's smart, then she took off and ran from them.

Man 2: I agree. Hey, I smell a dwarf.

Man 1: Find him.

The siblings hear footsteps and begin to lower as if they're getting farther away. Soon it goes quiet, so they believe the men had left

Yonah: Those were the guys we saw with Baldur. His nephews?

Mimir: Aye. Magni and Modi - the sons of Thor

Yonah: Mom always said the Aesir were the worst of the gods.

Nier: And Thor was the worst of the Aesir.

Yonah: I guess he's a terrible father too.

Nier: They're no longer children. They have no excuse.

Yonah: They're only dwarf I know who's outside Tyr's temple is Sindri. Will he be okay?

Nier: I'm sure he will. After all, he said he can step into the realm between realms, so no one else can see him.

Mimir: Unless they have a dragon with 'em, Magni and Modi won't find him.

The three traverse across the ruins and eventually come a cross what appeared to be a place where people feasted.

Mimir: Ah, the great dining hall. The envy of all Midgard. Funny. I remember there being a massive candelabrum. Really livened up the place.

Nier looks up and sees a chandelier stuck in some ice.

Nier: I have an idea. And it involves breaking things.

Yonah: Then let's do it.

Mimir: You and breaking things.

Nier: I'm getting us to that mountain, no matter what.

Mimir: No offense to you. Just not fond of so many things breaking.

Nier points to the Chandelier and Yonah forms her bow to fire arrows at the crystal in it. It bursts and hits one of the ice walls. Yonah repeats this process and monsters that were frozen in them end up being released. Nier does the heavy lifting by fighting them and protecting his sister. They had to repeat the process a few times, but Nier kills all the monsters and clears the way for him and Yonah. They continue their path and eventually come across Sindri working on a sword.

Yonah: Sindri.

Mimir: See lass, he's fine.

Sindri: Thought it best to vanish when Thor's idiot sons showed up.

Nier and Yonah continue their way to the chisel and eventually come across the area that contains it. Nier drops down before Yonah follows and he catches her before letting her on the ground.

Mimir: (Whisper) Hurry, brother. We may get a piece of the chisel and be gone before they even notice.

Suddenly, a large man falls with an ogre, but he snaps its neck like it was hardly anything.

Mimir: Uh oh.

Nier: Magni.

Magni then notices us.

Magni: You.

Magni then throws the Ogre's corpse away and I gesture Yonah to get behind me.

Magni: Surrender. The Allfather demands it.

Nier: No.

Magni then pulls out his blade, which has lighting running through it.

Magni: Good.

Nier: Yonah, this fight is mine. GO.

Yonah starts to run, but is blocked by Magni's brother, Modi

Modi: And where do you think you're goin'? Also, where's your lady friend. Took off when she realized being with you was suicide?

Yonah then summons her bow and arrows.

Modi: (Mocking) Oh no. Brother! The little freak can use magic! What are we going to do?

Yonah: Leave us alone.

Modi: Can't do that.

Magni: The small one's yours, brother.

Modi: Don't tell me what to do brother.

The brothers attack the siblings, forcing Nier and Yonah to fight them. Nier focuses on fighting Magni while Yonah does her best to fend of Modi. Nier uses the skills he learned over the years to fight Magni, who apparently relies mostly on his strength. Yonah fires her arrows, but Modi blocks them with his shield

Modi: Come here, pipsqueak. Gonna have a good time with you.

Nier dodges Magni's attack and lands a few hits on him with his swords. Yonah then fires three arrows at Modi before throwing her axe. Modi dodges it, but Nier buts his other sword away and grabs the axe. Magni swings his sword, but Nier blocks it before striking Magni with the axe. Modi then goes to lend a hand for a bit before Nier deflects his attack and strikes at him with his weapons.

Magni: I can't remember the last time we faced an actual challenge.

Modi: You call this a challenge? A young boy and this stillborn lamb?

Nier fights both of them and lands some more hits on the brothers.

Modi: Brother - the Snowblind!

Magni swings his sword and Modi holds his shield up with both creating a blinding flash when they strike.

Magni & Modi: ODR BRODIR BLINDR!

A storm of snow and lightning surrounds Nier and Yonah.

Yonah: I can't see!

Nier: Stay behind me, Yonah!

Yonah gets behind her brother and keeps her bow ready.

Nier: Why do you hunt us? What does Odin want?

Magni: Don't know. Don't care.

Modi: Come 'ere, half-breed. You're done holding your brother's hand.

Yonah: Don't call me that!

Modi comes charging but Nier blocks and throws him back. Magni then appears and gets blocked before Yonah blast him backwards with her arrows. Then Modi appears again, so Nier blocks and throws him backwards. The storm clears up.

Magni: Looks like they need another lesson brother.

Modi: Oh I'm more than happy to teach, brother.

Yonah fires an arrow that explodes before Nier charges and attacks Magni. Magni attacks and misses a few times before he grabs Nier by his neck. But Nier strikes him with his sword before breaking free and kicking Magni into the wall. He throws the axe at Modi, who blocks it but gets several punches and kicks by Nier before he throws him into the wall.

Modi: I actually felt that.

Magni suddenly appears and knocks back Nier, but Yonah fires multiple arrows at him. Magni then knocks Yonah back as well. Modi then comes closer and walks toward her with Magni.

Magni: Don't worry little girl. We'll make it quick.

Nier witness this and feels immense rage building up in him. He decides to let it out to stop them, and his arms and legs are incased in fire and black armor. Nier charges at high speed before striking Modi in the face and kicking Magni in his stomach. Nier then begins beating Magni and causing blood to spill out of him. Modi then shoots lighting, but Nier uses his armor to deflect it back at him. Magni then regains his strength and pushes back Nier, but not far. Magni then runs up to Modi to do the same trick again.

Magni & Modi: ODR BRODR BLINDR!

The snow and lightning storm appears again so Nier and Yonah get back to back like before.

Modi: I'll admit, you both are easy on the eyes. I that something you didn't get from your mother?

Yonah: Don't talk about our Mom!

Magni: "Don't talk about my mommy!" Pathetic

Mimir: Don't listen to him, lass. He's trying to rile you up.

Modi appears and Nier throws him back before Magni does the same and Nier kicks him away.

Modi: Idiots!

Magni: The Sons of Thor will destroy you.

Mimir: The Sons of Thor are welcome to try!

Nier: Mimir!

Mimir: Sorry. Overstepped, yeah?

Yonah: A little.

The siblings continue deflecting the attacks from Sons of Thor until the storm clears up. Soon Magni tosses Modi in the air and he strikes down, causing an electric shockwave that does some damage to Nier and Yonah. Nier gets back up and fights the brothers before Yonah regains her strength and fires her arrows at them. The siblings fight for a few more minutes before Magni and Modi try one more trick.

Modi: Let's finish this, Magni!

The brothers run up to each other and strike with their sword and shield.

Magni & Modi: ODR BRODIR BLINDR!

The storm appears again and Magni appears. Nier blocks his attack, but is trying to keep it from getting closer.

Modi: I'm starting to recognize that axe. Our father told us about a woman who had it. She must've been some whore to give birth to the likes of you two.

Yonah: Shut up!

Yonah fires several arrows at Modi, who blocks them as he got closer. Nier kept struggling against Magni, but the sight of Modi getting closer to Yonah fills the rage within him again.

Nier: RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Nier pushes Magni's sword back before throwing the axe at his arm.

Magni: RAGH!

Nier then recalls the axe before striking Magni at his side before striking his shoulder, and finally swinging the axe deep into Magni's skull, killing him.

Modi: Magni! NO--!

Nier's rage went a way and he realized what he did. He was horrified, but hid it as he pulled out the axe and looked at Modi with a murderous glare. Modi is clearly frightened.

Modi: How did you...? You have no idea what... You son of a bitch!

Nier: LEAVE! RUN!!!!

Modi runs and hops off the edge to escape. When it's clear that the god has fled, Nier's deathly expression fades away.

Nier POV

Everything happened so fast. I hold up Mom's axe and see the Magni's blood on it. I see my reflction and notice blood on my face as well. I drop the axe and look at my hands which also have the blood of Magni. I drop to my knees and am horrified by what I just did.

Nier: Wha- What... What did do?!

Mimir: What you had to brother.

I feel something hug me and look to see that it's Yonah.

Yonah: You protected me. That's all that matters. You're my brother. I know you.

I begin to cry and after a minute, I get back up.

Nier: Thanks. Let's get that chisel piece.

I walk up to the chisel and swing my axe to break off a piece. I swing it again to break it off even further. Once it was loos enough, I grabbed the piece and pulled it out.

Nier: Is this enough?

Mimir: Should do. With that, we can carve the travel rune into Jotunheim - get you where you need to go. Incidentally, all those magically-sealed doors we've seen can now be unlocked... like that one around the corner.

Me and Yonah look to see a lock and door like Mimir said.

Mimir: You can get through that door now that you got the chisel

We go to the door and I jab the chisel into it, causing a rune to appear and the lock breaks into pebbles. I open the door and we walk through it.

Yonah: You... killed Magni.

Mimir: That he did.

Yonah: He was a god... but you killed him.

Mimir: Minor Aesir, perhaps, but aye...

Nier: His father's Thor.

Mimir: Not Minor. Not Minor at all, him. This will not go over well in Asgard.

Nier: I know what will be their reaction.

Mimir: Especially since vengeance is a concern.

Yonah: Since when can you kill a god...?

I didn't know what to say to Yonah, so I stay silent. We continue making our way through parts of the village that haven't been wrecked by Thamur's corpse. It wasn't something I was proud to do, but we have to get to Jotunheim so we can spread Mom's ashes. We come across a chain and I climb up it while Yonah rode on my back.

Yonah: Everything we just did... climbed around a dead giant, rode a giant falling hammer, fought some bad gods. What do you think Mom and Dad would say?

Nier: That you have come a long way.

Yonah: Thanks. You have too.

We get on the ground and start walking. Soon we come a across a pier with a boat docked. We get to the boar and I push us away and start rowing. A lot has happened. I hope Bell and the others are doing okay.
