* * * * * *

I honestly could not believe this was happening.

I was actually going to stay with the bastard until I find my brother. Oh dear god, I hope to find him soon.

Following the super sexy psycho across the car-park with my suitcase in hand, he stopped.

“What’s wrong with you?” I asked frustrated at his abrupt halt which caused me to bump into his back.

“Give me back my phone.” he stated sternly while turning to me at the side.

Was he serious? There was something about the autocratic way in which he demanded the phone from me. It just pissed me off. The thought of him damaging mine also flared my distain.

“Your phone?” I innocently smiled with wicked blood flowing through my veins, “I flushed it down the toilet. Whoops.”

I noticed how his jawline clenched viciously towards me and his eyes scorched blue. Yet, his posture remained calm and collected.

Oh yes, I couldn’t wait to be alone with this man.

Scoffing at the thought, I followed him again to wherever he was headed. To my horror, he stopped in front of something that completely deflated my throbbing heart.

His car.

Oh my god. Cara.

Vitaly gave a soft wicked chuckle as he unlocked the doors with his key, “What’s wrong Angel?”

“What-what did you do to her?” My voice dripped with dread.

“Who?” He asked almost in a tease, turning around and leaning against the car. There was even a ghost of a smirk at the edge of his lips.

“You damn well know who.”

“Listen, my feisty little kitten.” he began, suddenly pulling me towards him- stapling me to his stomach and pushing a strand of my hair behind my ear, “I don’t appreciate your tone of voice.”

“Vitaly.” my voice iced warningly, “What. Did. You. Do?”

“She’s fine.”

“You’re lying to me.”

“Now why would I do that?” he laughed.

“Because you’re you!”

“I’m wounded love.”

“You’re not.” I sneered.

“You speak as if you know me.”

“I know you well enough.” I was so mad at him, so frustrated by what he had put me through. And I swear to god, if he had hurt Cara I will kill him in his sleep.

The sound of someone’s footsteps broke my murder plot thought.

“Good night.” a middle aged man greeted as he made his way to the car next to us.

“Night,” Vitaly nonchalantly greeted the man.

With a sigh, I softly demanded, “Let go of me.”

“I’d rather not.”

“What are you-”

Before I could say another word, I gasped as I felt his hand suddenly slip below my top. He brushed his finger tenderly at my waist while trailing up the side of my stomach. I felt almost limp in his arms, and the worst part was that I enjoyed it.

“Stop it.” I breathed as he pulled me into his chest.

His scent sent a delicious shiver up my spine and I tightened my eyes mentally pleading that he won’t stop.

“Stop?” his voice teased mischievously.

“Don’t.”

The sound of a vehicle starting and driving off broke me back to what was happening and he wickedly peeled me away from his body. His deep blue eyes absorbed my newly turned flushing face which was mixed with so many emotions right now I should have been purple.

Grinning, he tilted my chin almost aggressively towards him.

“Oh,” he chuckled, “So you’re like one of those untouched flowers. I figured.”

“You bastard.” I frowned as he sat in the car.

I honestly had no idea how I was going to manage with this guy. Taking a deep breath, I did the same yet I slammed the door so very aggressively. I noticed how he seemed to clench his fist tighter on the steering wheel as I did that.

“You still hadn’t told me.” I began while on the road with the radio turned on.

“What?”

“What you did to Cara. You said she’s fine but I don’t trust you. Take me to her. Now.”

Vitaly laughed as if it was some sort of joke, “Do you really think I would just take you there? You didn’t even say please.”

“Please.” I forced myself to say.

“That’s not going to cut it.”

“Vitaly! Please, what do I have to do for you to take me to her?”

As I said that, I noticed a wicked smirk play upon his face, “You should really understand what you’re saying Angel. You should understand what you’re offering. So be a good little girl and shut that pretty little mouth of yours if you want to keep yourself intact.”

I gave a tired sigh understanding that this man wasn’t going ensure me on my friend’s safety. Looking at my reflection on the car window, I felt utterly depressed. Maybe it was because of my child-like innocent face that everyone never took me seriously. And maybe it was because of my petite body and short height as well. I bite my lip trying to hold back on the tears when suddenly I felt his hand on my leg. Slowly, he worked his free hand on my inner thigh.

Good God, he was insane.

My heart picked up twice its speed as I felt ripples of pleasure shock through my body.

“We’ll be there soon.” his voice caressed in a smooth rich velvet.

“Stop it!” I managed to push his hand off me, forcing myself to overcome the sensation and tightened my legs together.

He gave a low wicked chuckle while continuing to drive.

“I don’t know what sort of game this is Rostov but don’t you dare touch me! Keep your hand out of me!”

“Off you.” he quickly interjected with that plastered smirk, “I believe you meant ‘off you’ not ‘out of you’… at least not yet.”

I blinked in confusion, “What?”

“We’re here.” he ignored and cut my question off.

Quickly pulling into the driveway, he parked and took my suitcase out.

Hesitantly, I stepped out of the car and looked at the towering house that the moon lit so beautifully. Yet, there was nothing beautiful about the business that went on inside this house.

I wrapped my arms around me when suddenly I felt someone placed a jacket on my shoulders.

“Wear it.” Vitaly stated.

“It’s yours so no.” I scoffed about to take it off but he stopped me.

With a scowl, he burned his eyes onto mine, “You will wear the Goddamn jacket Katrina. Do you understand?”

His voice was filled with so much antagonism, I was honestly unsure of how to feel. However, wearing the jacket was probably a good idea because I only had on a thin grey strapped top and a pink PJ shorts decorated with millions of flowers.

“Fine.” I mumbled slipping the jacket on and walked with him towards the house, “And don’t call me Katrina.”

“It’s your name, isn’t it?” he smirked glancing at me from the side.

Oh how I wish I could lie skilfully but I couldn’t. I stopped frustrated that he would know this about me, about my name being Katrina. There was nothing wrong with it, it was just that that was the name my mother used to call me when she was alive. Only she would call me Katrina. No one else would. The memory of the name hurts.

“You have no permission to call me that Rostov.” I frowned.

“I don’t take anyone’s permission Angel.”

Opening the door to the house, we walked in and I felt my heart clenching unusually. For some reason I wanted to hold his hand but then I had to remind myself to keep my stupid Stockholm’s syndrome at bay because he was the one who caused this chaos.

Walking into the spacious most elegant drawing room, I noticed three men there along with the woman who opened the door for me. Natalia, I believe her name was. Two of the men were the ones who were arguing in the room- the old man and the young one. And then, there was the one who brutalized me. I’d call him blondie.

“Why did you have to drag the pig back here?” Natalia frowned towards Vitaly.

Who the hell did she think she was calling me a pig?

I for one was not round, pink and chunky. And believe me, I would not be tasty even if I was covered in bar-be-que sauce.

That crazy cannibalistic woman.

“She’ll be staying with us for the time.” Vitaly answered.

“Us?” another voice spoke up from behind.

A man with perfectly styled hair and what seemed to look like a designer Armani suit walked in raising both eyebrows towards Vitaly.

“With me,” Vitaly corrected with a scowl towards the man.

I stood there like a lost puppy surrounded by fire-breathing dragons.

“Oh! But Vitaly, she’s too pretty to be put on anyone’s list.” the young guy, who was arguing with the old man, stated with a sad smile.

“No, Nikolai. She isn’t on anyone’s list, nor will she be.” Mr Sexy defended.

“I don’t understand.” Blondie furrowed his eyebrows.

“She’s mine. No one touches her. Understood?” Vitaly’s voice was smooth and clear yet there was a menace in it that made my knees become weak.

“She does not belong here Vitaly.” the old man spoke up with the thickest Russian accents I’ve ever heard.

“She’s my responsibility Ded. We just have some business to finish.”

“You told her about us?” the man who walked in with the Armani suit seethed. He mumbled something in Russian and I couldn’t help but notice how furious Vitaly looked when he said it. Yet, he tried to keep his calm.

“Don’t chew your words Mikhail, I want to fücking hear you say it right to my face.” Vitaly challenged, “You’re forgetting who’s in charge here.”

“Stop it both of you, don’t do this right now.” Natalia inputted with a slight shaky voice.

In that precise moment, Mikhail aggressively clutched on to Vitaly’s shirt. For some reason, I panicked.

“Wait!” I stopped the man by slipping myself in front of Vitaly, “He’s right, I won’t be here for very long.”

Vitaly pushed me away with a tired sigh, “I’ll discuss this with everyone later tonight.”

“I trust your decision Vitaly.” the young one smiled and looked at Blondie, “Right Sevastian?”

“We’ll discuss this afterwards.” Blondie, whose name was actually Sevastian, replied.

As we were about to walk away, Natalia’s spoke up with her voice laced of humid detest, “Idiotic troll of a girl, the sooner she leaves- the better.”

Hearing that, I stopped. That damned woman. I mean, I know I was not very tall but Jesus Christ, ‘troll short’? Short… and ugly? That’s her strike three.

That cracker needed to be put back in her packet.

Spinning my heels around, I frowned at her woman-like posture and glared her right in the eyes, “Do you eat shįt for breakfast or are you naturally uncivilized?”

Natalia seemed taken back at the response and I swear if she was a cartoon then her head would be red and there would be smoke coming out of it.

“You little bìtch!” she snapped.

“Oh! I can be bigger.” I smiled sweetly.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed the young man trying to hide a laugh. I guess no one ever spoke to her like that before. Oh well, first time for everything right?

“Enough of this,” Vitaly interjected.

“She needs to be taught some manners.” Natalia scowled.

“By who? You?” my voice itched with distain.

“Donovan.” Vitaly warned. He glared at me but I turned away, “Upstairs now.”

I was so fuelled right now I didn’t even care to listen, “No.” I stated flatly.

Clutching me by the arm, he walked upstairs almost dragging me to the room and shutting the door.

“What the hell were you thinking? Don’t be stupid!” he snapped at me.

For some reason, I felt hurt. It wasn’t even my fault yet he was yelling at me.

“Why- Why are you taking her side?” I asked with a scolding yet pained voice, “Is-is she your girlfriend?”

My eyes were becoming so damp and my voice ached so badly.

The question seemed to get him off guard and he stared at me for what seemed to be longer than a minute.

“Oh my God, she’s your wife. She’s your wife, isn’t she? Your girlfriend- fiancé- wife!” I sniffled.

“Fuçk no. Are you insane?” He looked away, running a frustrated hand through his hair.

“Then who is she? Tell me!” I asked trying to keep my voice from not breaking with a surprising amount of agony.

Why was I even so concerned about who she was anyway?

This feeling was killing me.

“You- you think I’m a short ugly pig troll too?” I sniffled again.

“No, you’re-”

“I’m?”

He walked to the bed and sat rubbing his frustrated hands over his face.

“This isn’t even relevant Katrina.”

“No, I want to know Vitaly!” my voice broke and he looked more frustrated than ever.

“Stop behaving like a Goddamn child!”

“Not until you tell me!”

With a deep sigh, he turned away from me and looked out the window, “You’re lovely. I think you’re lovely.”
