If you didn't know, or haven't looked at my bio, I'm a fan of MLP. And when being an MLP fan, comes watching a ton of fan made stuff by fans like myself.

So, a pretty old fan made series was made a frigging 8 YEARS ago, called "Friendship is Witchcraft". One of the most, if not, the most, popular song from the parody series is Gypsy Bard, which is a song that Pinkie sings to Applejack during "cherry-picking" in the FIW timeline (episode 7 of FIW, based off of the canon episode The Last Roundup). The quote-unquote are intentional, by the way.

So, I listened to the song around 2 years ago, not knowing what it means because I was distracted by the upbeat notes. This was before I watched FIW, btw. I listened to it, I liked it, I memorized the lyrics, and I sang it almost ALL. THE. TIME. I thought it was an innocent, fan made song, without any real meaning behind it.

BOY, was I WRONG.

Gypsy Bard came along my recommendations on YouTube today, and, me remembering that it was one of my childhood favorites, re-listened to it again.

And let me tell you, despite it's cheery tone, the lyrics is ✨depression✨
