After Jinx died and we took her where the rest of the bodies were, we went back to the hotel and knocked on Claire's door.

She opened almost immediately, but her face fell.

«Where's Jinx?» she asked. We shook our heads.

«Gone.» Kyle gulped.

«Chris?» she asked again. She got the same response. «Ben?»

Kyle and I exchanged a look. How did she know Ben was dead, unless...

«Did you not see his spirit?» Kyle said carefully.

«Should I? Wait... Are you saying..?» her voice cracked as she realised something.

She hadn't only lost her fiancé and father of her child, she had also realised that the guy she was planning on spending her life with wasn't even her soulmate.

«I need some time to process all this...» she gulped. «You can come in if you want, I'll be in the bathroom...»

«We'll give you some space.» I croaked and we went to our room.

For some reason, I got the urge to go to Jinx and Chris' room. When I went in, I found Moira and Psyche Pepper standing there.

«See? I told I could do it.» Moira rolled her eyes at her sister.

«I never doubted it, I just wanted to get you to do it quickly...» Psyche scoffed.

«What are you two doing here?» I asked them. I was a mess; my eyes and face were red, my nose was runny and my hair was all over the place.

«Jinx kinda sent us...» Psyche smiled.

«Yeah, because my sister over here couldn't keep her mouth shut and told your girlfriend everything.» Moira groaned.

«What everything?» I asked. The more they talked, the more confused I got.

«Okay, well our names are from a language from another dimension, and mean exactly what we do, which also has to do with our choice of profession. I'm Psyche, which means soul, and I take care of everything that has to do with emotions and relationships. I plan all that. I practically wrote the love part of your story.» she rambled.

«And I'm Moira, which means fate. I'm older and more powerful and take care of everything else. Remember the day of that event here on the hotel? Well, you certainly don't remember me, because I made sure you forgot about all that.» Moira explained. The real memories came bursting in my head. «Also that part where you do everything I say, or when I predict the future and stuff? Yeah, that's something I can do. There are more of us out there, and we take care of pretty much everything. After Jinx found out about the memory part, she made us come down here by making Psyche feel guilty for what we did.»

«I think my head is going to explode...» I muttered.

«Yeah, finding out about that does have this effect on mortals.» Psyche shrugged. «Anyway, we have to get going so we're hearing your questions. Quickly. You don't have much time.»

«Why did you do this to us? You turned our lives upside down?» I asked them. It was the first thing that popped in my brain. I wasn't sure if I believed them yet, but I had nothing to lose.

«It's what we do.» Moira shrugged.

«Is there any way to bring Jinx back?» I asked them. They exchanged a look.

«There is, but not in the way you think... You and your people are not ready to find a cure for Ivylore yet, so you're gonna have to do exactly as we say.» Psyche explained.

«Psyche, no. Not again. Just because you have ships, it doesn't mean I have to plan more stuff for you. Besides, it would be pretty unbalanced. Saviors die for a reason.» Moira said carefully.

«Please!» Psyche pleaded. Moira broke under her puppy dog eyes.

«Fine... Just expand the D.U. and I'll take care of the rest. Build new headquarters and all that. Trust me though, it won't be the way you want. Jinx will never be the same and that's if she fully returns.» Moira grumbled.

«I just want her back.» my voice cracked.

«Yeah, but are you sure that's the favor you wanna ask for?» she asked me. I nodded.

«You're an idiot.» Psyche shook her head.

«I thought you were on my side!» I told her.

«That doesn't mean you're not an idiot though... That's all the time we have for now. We'll see you again sooner than you think.» she winked and they vanished into thin air.

What happened next... Oh God... If the battle was torture, you should see what happened next.

Anyway, that's not the point now. Kyle seemed to be in disbelief of what I told him, but in the end he helped me out. He was a little bitter that we couldn't save Felicia, but maybe that's why Psyche called me stupid.

Maybe I should have just asked to have back the life we used to and to delay the battle. But that would have been too much to ask of Moira... I mean, she looked like she was going to kill her sister just because we asked for one revival.

Claire was devastated and it was hard being a single mom, but we helped her out as much as we could. The Pepper twins disappeared for years, we only saw them sixteen years later again, but that's a tale for another time...

Kyle managed to move on from Ellie, eventually. He found another guy who lost his soulmate at the battle and they were pretty happy together. It wasn't the same, but they were a pretty cute couple.

In the end I found someone too. She had also lost her soulmate at the battle. She was nothing like Jinx, and that was good. I never compared them; that's what fresh starts are for.

I did what Moira told me. I expanded the D.U.

I got back what I wanted.

But they were right, it wasn't the same...

A/N: Yeah, that's a Sequel you can smell coming. Well, not really, though... It's a spin-off. It take place sixteen years later and it's mostly Alice's story.

Old characters (the remaining ones, anyway) will be back, Claire may or may not find her actual soulmate and, trust me, this will be even more heartbreaking.

Jinx will be back in the other book too, only not in the way you think. Yeah, you're gonna be as surprised as Jon when you see what going on.

BUT, this is gonna take long. I have many other books to write first, and this isn't even on my top 5. It will probably come out sometime next year? It might take longer, but I'm definitely writing it (I don't have a title in mind yet) (it will most likely be called Alice's Adventures in the Clonies, but don't hold your breaths).

It's also time to announce the Imyrth spin-off, and some kind of prequel, called The Damiadne Chronicles, and its gonna be about Ariadne and Damon's adventures in Imyrth (and not only) when they were younger.
