A/N: Some Imyrth spoilers ahead. Continue at your own risk.

After Jon and I kissed for the second time, we sat outside in silence for a while. He was cuddling me, and even though that was nothing new, it seemed foreign and different.

Chris came to the room a couple hours later, and that's when Jon left and went to his room.

«You worked things out?» he asked me.

«Yep and more than that.» I smiled.

«Yeah...» he frowned.

«I'm really sorry about Kim, Chris...»

«I know. Me too.» he shook his head and went to the bathroom to change into his pajamas.

The next morning we all had breakfast together; Kyle, Jon, Claire, Ben, Alice, Chris and I. Kim was missing. Her parents took her brother in their room now that she was gone.

People kept giving me weird looks, and a couple little kids came up and asked me if I was really the savior.

I can't say that it didn't make me happy, but it also made me nervous and gave me the urge to hide in a hole because of the attention I was getting. I guess I should have seen that one coming...

For the next few days, we kept cheering Chris up and babysitting Alice. Sometimes we did both at the same time. Claire was exhausted and we tried our best to help her.

She and Ben had agreed on getting married after all this was over and after our home was rebuilt.

Ben had started going back to work and all that. Kyle looked like he was feeling better. Alice was growing up and she looked more and more like her Claire.

I had seen photos of Claire as a baby, and trust me, they were identical. Well, apart from the eyes. She had Ben's eyes.

I'm really getting a Harry Potter vibe from this, so I'm just going to change the subject. Not that I don't like Harry Potter, Harry Potter is one of the reasons I'm still breathing.

Because, come on guys, it's Harry Potter.

Anyway, let's not fangirl our way out of this...

I don't know if I mentioned this before, but Kyle is the main prospective godfather for my niece. Felicia was to be her godmother, but... you get the point.

Despite everything that was going on in his life, though, Kyle made for a perfect godfather. He was adorable when he spent time with Alice. He did the funniest faced and tolerated everything she did. I was pretty sure that even if he wasn't chosen to be her godfather, he would be that one uncle that spoils the hell out of his nieces and nephews.

He played games with her whenever we were babysitting, while I spent time with my new boyfriend (what? I'm not blushing, you're imagining stuff) and Chris mourned over Kim.

She wasn't dead, but she was dead to us. That sneaky traitor.

We did our best to cheer him up, but he seemed to be really  in love with her. It was nothing like anything I'd ever seen before. Chris always dated a lot, but he was never so heartbroken over a girl.

Kim really took a toll on him. That toll was probably his heart, and when she ran away she probably took it with her.

Dont judge. I'm so tired of thinking  of those babysitting times that I don't even know what I'm saying.

And I don't really have the best memories from being babysat. Babysat... Is that even a word? I think it's a word. Is it though? Well, I don't care. Even if it doesn't exist, I used it now. It is in my vocabulary. It shall remain there forever.

As I already told you, don't judge.

One day, as I was hanging out with Jon, Kyle and Chris at my room, there was a knock on the door.

Chris was sprawled on his bed, looking at the ceiling, Kyle was reading a copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (he got it from the nearest library) and I was half asleep in Jon's arms. Yeah, we cuddled a lot.

«Who's gonna get it?» I asked.

«Not it.» Chris sighed.

«Not it.» Kyle muttered without looking up from his book.

«Not it!» I said at the same time as Jon. I gave him a pleading look. He gave me puppy dog eyes.

Guess who won.

It was the puppy dog eyes. I had to get up and go over to open the door.

I opened it to see Chelsea Chief, the new bartender from the coffee shop, back at the Clonies. Her eyes were red.

«Hey... I don't suppose you even remember me, but you're the only people I know around here and I really need help with something.» she rushed.

«Chelsea! Of course we remember you!» I told her and let her in.

«You do?» she asked me surprised. She stroked her braid nervously.

«Duh! What's wrong?» I asked again and led her to my bed. She sat at the edge and burst out crying. I patted her shoulder.

«I'm sorry, I just- I ran away from Imyrth for a fresh start and I got a rocky one. I mean, I just moved in and I lost my new home, I lost my job and escaped a war to go through another one.» her voice was shaky. So we're her hands.

«You're homesick, aren't you?» Jon frowned. She looked startled for a moment, but then she nodded.

«When I- when I left, I wasn't on good terms with my brother. He had started getting into shady business with that guy that took over Imyrth now that the Queen is gone. I didn't approve but he said it was for our own good. He said that we couldn't go up against that guy, that he was too powerful. But we were a house of Elementalists, goddamit! We could easily fight back! After he made the alliance with Amon, the other house did too, so I left. Dealing with that guy changed Earl. He wasn't like that before. He became power hungry and greedy. I couldn't just stand there and watch him turn into a monster.» she started sobbing again.

«I'm assuming you haven't talked to him in a long time.» Kyle muttered and closed his book. She shook her head.

«How about we help you write a letter to him?» Chris suggested. We all turned to look at him. «What? It's about damn time I stopped thinking about Kim. She's not worth my time.» he snorted.

«I don't know... I mean, I haven't talked to him in a long time. I didn't even say goodbye when I left. I've tried to send letters to him, but I always end up throwing them away.» Chelsea frowned again.

«Then you should make amends. I wasn't on the best terms with my sister when she- I mean, we weren't fighting or anything, but we were still recovering from a big argument. It made me feel guilty for a long time. I'm just saying that there's a war looming over both here and back at Imyrth. I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but chances are that you or your brother might not survive. Are you willing to leave things the way they are?» Chris confessed. We had withdrawn so much for him, we didn't even know he felt that way. It tore me apart. He was older than his sister, but we always considered him the youngest. We always took care of him. When Ellie died... we just stopped. No wonder he felt so left out.

«I'm not on good terms with my brother either.» Kyle looked down. «Just a few days ago, I found out that he had joined the bad guys, much like yours did. He didn't look too happy with his choice but it left me wondering why he did it. How could he join the people that killed his soulmate? The people that killed mine? I asked him. I tried to find out, but he told me that I wouldn't understand. All I'm saying is that even if he doesn't write back or anything, you still tried and did your part the rest is on him.»

«I lost my sister, Pearl, at the fire. We never fought, but I don't think we were ever completely honest with each other either. I wish I had talked to her shout more important stuff, but that's all in the past now. I can't change what happened, but you can.» Jon shrugged.

There was silence for a while. We were all looking down.

I felt weird. Claire and I had always been best friends. She knew everything about me and I knew everything about her. We rarely fought. I felt bad that I hadn't noticed all the troubles my friends went through with their own siblings, but I could weirdly relate.

And then I realised that I was going through a similar situation with Jasmine. I kept forgetting that she was actually my twin. It felt right, but I couldn't quite take it in. I guess it made the fact that we had to kill each other harder to process.

I thought of telling the others of that, but I didn't. It didn't have anything to do with Chelsea's problem and I wasn't ready to open up about that yet.

Instead, I changed the topic and turned back to Chelsea.

«So what do you say? Are you writing that letter or not?» I asked her.

«I am. Let's do this.» she smiled.

We didn't know exactly what she wrote, because privacy, but we knew the gist. She wrote, as we gave her pointers from afar and in the end she looked pretty content with that letter.

She explained to her brother, once again, why she left. She apologised for not saying goodbye. She made it clear that she wasn't intending on going back anytime soon and actually mailed the letter this time.

It took at least five hours to write. She wrote around three pages, but in the end, she looked pleased with herself.

«If you guys ever need anything, come tell me. I'm staying two floors below you on room 135A. You could come over later if you want to celebrate or something... I really think this letter is worth celebrating.» she smiled before leaving.

«On one condition.» Kyle said seriously.

«What?» she frowned.

«You're gonna show us some of that water elementalist magic thing.» he smirked.

«I'll think about it.» she smirked back.

About two hours later, we got read and took the elevator to Chelsea's floor.

We found her room pretty fast, but it wasn't because of our keen eye. The door was slightly open.

«Maybe she is in the shoer and didn't want us to wait?» Chris asked hesitantly.

«Who's gonna get the door this time?» I asked them worriedly.

«Not it.» the guys said at the same time.

«I hate you for this.» I muttered and pushed the door open, slowly.

The lights were off, but we could clearly see the mess in the room. Everything was soaked in water, the furniture were upside down and all over the place and in the middle of it all was Chelsea.

Her hair were no longer in a braid, and were instead sprawled all around her. She was lying on the floor, pale and with multiple scratches on her face and hands. She was coughing violently.

«No...» I whispered and ran toward her. The guys followed.

«I guess the party is cancelled...» she coughed up water and blood.

«No, don't say that. Your brother is gonna write back to you any day now.» Kyle told her. Chris ran off to call an ambulance.

«He won't... He's too stubborn. Don't worry, though... You were right. Not everyone will make it through this...» she whispered faintly.

«Chelsea, don't give up. You're strong enough. You'll make it to the hospital.» I begged her.

«Don't worry, I'm not afraid of dying. I guess that's how it was meant--» she coughed loudly. «It's just how it was meant to be.»

«Stop it! The ambulance will be here any minute now. You'll make it--» Jon started.

«No, you stop it. I'm dying, so it might as well be on my terms. I won't spend my last moments begging to live. I might not have much time, but I have my dignity.» she blinked back some tears. We nodded.

A few moments of silence later, she moved for the last time. She stayed frozen, looking at the ceiling with glassy eyes, as one of the tears she tried to hold escaped her, and rolled down her cheek.

«Is she breathing?» Chris rushed back.

«Does she look like she's breathing?» I snapped at him. He looked taken aback. «I'm sorry, Chris, I didn't mean to--»

«No, it's okay. Don't worry. I'll just go get the cops...» he looked down and got back up.

We were silent for a moment, and then we heard him gasp.

«Oh, no...» he muttered. We turned and looked toward him. He was pointing at the door.

Carved on the door, we once again saw the same message we had seen when Jessie faked her death and when we found Cole's body, with one detail added.

Your villain,
Jasmine Jewels.

A/N: Heya peeps! Long time no kill, am  right? No? Okay.

You found out some stuff about Earl, good for you. Also, spoiler alert for those of you that haven't read Imyrth, [Earl is already dead by the time Chelsea mails the letter, which makes things even more heartbreaking, because her brother died and she never found out].

That's all for now. See you on tomorrow's chapter, because Chelsea's death has some pretty important clues on what's going on on the other side of the war.
