Damien's pov

I lay in my bed with Camilo sleeping soundly on top of me. I smiled softly at him and kissed his forehead. I conjured a solid water based body double and sent it downstairs to make my beloved food. I stayed in bed and just pet Camilo's hair. A brisk morning winds came in through an open window, causing Camilo to snuggle closer to me. I squeezed him tighter and waved my hand to close the window. I rubbed his back to warm him up and accidentally woke him up. 

"Good morning, mi vida."

I brought his sleepy face to me and gently kissed him. 

"Good morning."

He gave me a sleepy, pleased smile and my double walked in with a tray of food. Camilo jump and covered himself, but as soon as I took the tray, I dispersed the double. I fed Camilo the chocolate chip pancakes and fruit salad. I covered him in a thin blanket and carried him to my bathroom. 

"Do you need help getting ready?"

I kissed down his neck breathing the intoxicating scent of toffee and oranges. 

"I'll be be fine, you should get an outfit ready for me, I'll wear whatever you choose."

He gave me a chaste kiss and limped into the bathroom. I slowly walked back to my room, absolutely lovestruck. I conjured a pale orange, slightly see through nightgown with a pair of silk shorts to go underneath it. I walked back to the bathroom holding a light green towel and the nightgown-shorts combo underneath it. 

"Amor, the outfit is under the towel. I'll be in our room."

I pulled on a pair of black boxers and laid on the bed with my hands behind my head. I heard Camilo walk in so I propped myself up on my elbows. He stood there embarrassed in the outfit I prepared. All the love bites and kiss mark I left on his upper body and stomach clearly visible. I smirked and sat up further. I held out my arms to him and he ran into them, burying his face into my neck. 

"Camilo, I would like to place my mark on you."

"What does that mean?"

"Well, traditionally a witch mark drives Fae and other magical beings from their Life partner, fearing the wrath otherwise. It'd be like I'm protecting you from wherever I am. I can sense if your in danger and the mark will teleport me to you no matter the distance."

"If you want to, go ahead."

I kissed his temple and sat him on his knees. I knelt behind him and placed my index and middle finger on the junction of his neck and shoulder. I placed a gentle kiss on his head before closing my eyes. 

"This might sting."

I focused my magic to the tips of my fingers. 

"Audi quaeso veneficam veterem. Hanc esse vitam meam socium profiteor. Hanc rogationem da et ut talis nota."

My witches mark appeared on his neck. I turned him around and placed him under a gentle sleeping charm. I tucked him into the bed and conjured a pair of black jeans and a white button down to change into. I walked outside and started tending to my garden. I hummed a gentle tune from my childhood and heard someone walk into my room from the entrance to the Casita. 

I lifted myself into the air on a platform of water to the door and saw Mirabel giving Antonio a ride on her back. I smiled at the sight. I saw her wings give out without warning. I swooped under them and caught them both. 

"Mirabel, what just happened?"

"I don't know. I was flying just fine then it felt like something heavy slapped my back."

 I brought them both to the ground and brought them to my cottage. 

"Mira, take this dress. It doesn't have a back. I need to see if something is wrong with your back. Bathroom is upstairs to the left. Do not, go into my bedroom."

"Si."

I picked up Antonio and brought him back outside. 

"Well little man, do you want to fly without Mira for a bit?"

"Is she okay?"

"That's what I'm going to figure out."

I tossed him into the air and formed a little platform under him. I tied him to it with a study rope of water and zoomed him all over until Mirabel walked outside. I brought him back down and looked at Mirabel's back. A large black mark covered the area over her spine. I touched it and she hissed away from me. I quickly formed a sheet of water over her back and pulled Antonio behind me. 

"Selkie!"

She popped out of the lake and shed her skin. She wore a pair of pink shorts and a yellow shirt. 

"Yes Master?"

"Please look at Mira's bones."

She stood in front of me and her eyes changed from cute grey to bright blue with large slitted pupils. 

"Miss Mira has a Sprite burn imbedded into her spine. Want me to make her a charm Master?"

"No need. If it's a Sprite, it most likely was trying to enter a contract, but burned her instead. Mira , I need you to relax and call out to whatever Sprite was trying to meet you."

She sat down and started saying something, but I immediately cut her off with bonk to her head. 

"With your magic ficticia."

She closed her eyes and I could feel her spread her magic across the air. A bright flame appeared in front of her and she reached her hand out to it. After grasping it, a familiar's contract wrapped around her wrist. It looked like a ring of fire. 

"I give you the name, Hugo. Come forth and serve me faithfully from now to the end of this lifetime."

The flame burst into a small firefox. I looked on her back and the black mark on her skin vanished. I tapped the area where it once was and when she didn't react, I helped her to her feet. 

"Congratulations Mirabel Madrigal. You have your first familiar, Hugo the Fire Sprite."

Hugo was the size of a normal fox, but had dark red fur, cuffs of fire wrapped around all for feet just above his paws. Just below his jaw, he had a tuft of lightly flaming fur going around his neck. Floating above his head was a small flickering flame. Hugo jumped on Mirabel's shoulder and cuddled into her neck.

"Now that you have your familiar, you should spend some time with it. With time, you'll build up a bond and you'll begin to have trust in one another. See you later."

I quickly showed Mirabel and Antonio to the exit and practically tripped over myself to get back to Camilo. I saw him at the window smirking down at me. He grown his hair past his shoulder while I wasn't looking. He gave a stretch and turned around.. I watched him saunter away from the window, until I couldn't see him anymore. I sent Selkie to the lake and ran through the house to get to Camilo. He was sprawled on the bed, his beautiful hair splayed around his like a delicate halo. 

"Sweet thing. You should know by now not to tempt me like this."

I crawled on the bed over top of him and he quickly flipped our positions so he was on top of me. 

"Well, you should've stayed in bed with me, but I need to reward you for helping mi hermana."

He kissed down my neck and we didn't set foot out of our room for the rest of the day.
