Damian's POV

Y/N and I watched the storm clouds roll in on the backyard inclosed patio.

"Looks like it's gonna be a monster storm," said y/n as she leaned against my shoulder.

I nodded as our dog Maverick laid at my feet. He was the newest addition to our household. I got him for y/n's birthday in August. Maverick is a chocolate labrador. We adopted him from the local shelter after he had been rescued from an animal hording case. Maverick or Mave as we call him is super lovable. The thunder rumbles over head and Maverick picked his head up. He looked at us.

"You're right Mave. I think it's time to head into the house," I said as y/n looks at me and then Maverick.

"I'll listen to my boys," she said as we stood and went indoors. It wasn't even moments later than a crack of lightning ripped through the sky lighting up the entire house. Y/N jumped and grabbed onto my arm. I pulled my arm from her grasp and immediately wrapped my arm around her.

"It's okay amor. I have you. Let's go watch tv," I said and she nods.

She snuggled close as I turned on the tv and Maverick settled on the floor beside the sofa. We saw a severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for our area.

"Duh," said y/n as the thunder rolled overhead. She snuggled closer. She never had been a fan of storms since we met twenty plus years ago.

I pressed a kiss to her forehead "Take it easy princesa," I murmured against her forehead "Papi está aquí. Él te tiene," I wrapped my other arm around her. She buried her face into my chest.

She held onto my arm as I moved to the hall closet to grab the candles. I used my phone light to move down the dark hallway. Maverick sticking close to y/n as he was going to protect his Mama. I grabbed the candles as y/n held onto my shirt "Okay," I said "Let's head back to the living room," I wrapped an arm around her shoulders as I used my phone's light to light the hallway again.

Once back in the living room. Y/N sat on the sofa as I Iight the candles bathing the living room in a soft light. Y/N looks at me. I smiled as I grabbed my portable charger and hooked up my phone to play music. I Knew I Loved You by Savage Garden began as I played y/n's Love Under The Stars playlist on Spotify.

She smiled at me "I love this song," she said.

I held out my hand "May I have this dance?" I asked.

She smiles as she placed her hand into mine "I would be honored," she said as she rose and I took her into my arms we began dancing. Maverick hops onto the sofa before curling up and slowly fell asleep. Y/N smiled at Maverick before looking back at me she reached up and caresses my cheek as I Crossed My Heart by George Strait. We gaze into each other's eyes "God no one can sing a love song like King George can," she murmured softly.

I smiled as I lace our fingers as I held her hand as her other hand rests on my bicep and my other hand rests lightly on her lower back. I smile down at her "Especially this song," I said as I spun her making her laugh lightly. She was slowly forgetting the storm raging outside "I cross my heart and promise to. "Forever mi amor," I said as Helpless began her favorite song from her favorite musical Hamilton and we began singing along well y/n did as it was after all Elizabeth Schuyler's song and Alexander only did a small rap part which I did and as that song faded into one of her ultimate favorite songs Forever by The Beach Boys. We just sway "I've been so happy loving you," I said along with the band.

A loud rumble of thunder shook the house causing y/n to gasp and throw her arms around my neck. I held her close as we pulled apart. We looked into each other's eyes. I lean in and kissed her lips. She stood on tip toe and deepens the kiss. I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her close and then lifting her up. She wrapped her legs around my waist. We were taking our time to worship and appreciate each other at the moment. I looked down at y/n and she reached up and caresses my cheek. I rest my forehead against hers and our eyes met.

Y/N pets his head "Sorry Maverick. Papi is right. Mami is his too," she said softly as she kissed the top of Maverick's head as I wrapped my arm around y/n and Maverick before all three of us fell asleep after a magical night.
