We walked into the mall and looked at all the stores. It all varied from food, hygiene, clothing, supplies, and games.
"Ok, so what store would you like to go to?" I turned to look at him.
"Um..." He looked around the huge place, unsure where to start.
"How about here?" I walked over to one of the stores. It had very appealing and up to date outfits on display.
"Sure." We headed inside and I let Yugyeom wander around, to see what he wants. I sit in the dressing room chairs and pull out my phone.
To <Mark>
We are shopping for clothes right now. I'll text you when we head over there.
I pressed send and looked over to where Yugyeom was. He was shuffling through the clothes, but he didn't pick anything up. He seemed lost. Out of place. Like he didn't know where to start. I walked over to him. Tapping his shoulder, he turns around to me.
"Would you like me to help you?" I giggle. He sheepishly nodded and moved over. "What type of clothes do you like the most?"
"Um, I don't know. I just get what fits." He looks down at his own clothes. I think for a while, then came up with an idea.
"How about I pick out some clothes for you, and you try them on to see if you like them or not?"
"Yeah, sure." He agreed. I then asked him what his sizes were. He tells me then sits down where I previously sat. He watched me pick out many clothes for different outfits. I walk over to him with my hands full. I plop myself down next to him. Sorting through the clothes, I picked out one outfit and hand it to him.
"Try this one on first." He looks at them and stands up, walking over to one of the stalls. I wait patiently after he closed the door. He was pretty quick at changing, and was out with the outfit on seconds later.
Just as I thought, this one looked really nice on him. I chose a simple outfit since he likes to keep things simple. He walked to the mirror and looked himself up and down. He had a leather jacket on, with matching shoes, shirt, and pants. It was all black.
"With that outfit, you can always change the shirt to any shirt you like. I have a white shirt in this pile that will also go great with that outfit." I tell him and he nods.
"Yeah, I like this." He says, and I smile.
We went through most of the pile, sorting out outfits. There were some he didn't like, and of course some he did like. I would walk out and in the room multiple times. Looking for more clothes to replace the parts he didn't like, and/or more outfits for him to try on.
He walks out with a big sweater, skinny jeans with a matching belt and shoes on.
"Oh my god Yugyeom! You look so cute!" I beam. He turns around from the mirror with a red face.
"What?! No, I don't want to look cute! I want to look bad ass!"
"But, I really like this one!" I give him a wide grin.
"Bambam, when I walk down the street, I don't want people to come hug me. I want them to keep their distance away. This sweater will cause an attraction towards me."
"Please, Yugyeom? Just this one outfit, please? The rest can be bad ass, but please keep this one! For me?" I begged. He looked unsure as he tried to think of an answer.
"Fine. But, just this one!"
"Yay!" I clapped, clearly overjoyed. He goes back into the stall quickly.
"Let's just get this over with." He says from the stall.
Not long after that, we stopped trying on clothes. He was already tired from it, and we had a decent amount of clothes to buy. We went to the cashier to purchase them.
When we walked out the store with full hands, I turned to Yugyeom.
"Hey, do you want to head to the food court to grab something to eat?"
"Yeah. I'm starving after trying on all those clothes." He stretches.
Walking over there, I remembered something. I pulled out my phone.
To <Mark>
Ok, we are heading over to Starbucks.
"Yugyeom," I put my phone away. "Can we stop by Starbucks first?" He just nodded.
"As long as we get food afterwards."
We headed over to Starbucks. I grabbed a table to set down all of our stuff. It wasn't long before I saw Mark walk over here. He smiled at us.
"Hey, Mark!" I greeted him. Yugyeom turned around and saw him too.
"Oh, hey Mark." He says surprised.
"Hey, Yugyeom and Bambam." He sat down with us. I turn to Yugyeom.
"Yugyeom, since the line here is long, can you buy out food? I'm fine with anything."
"Um, sure. I guess." I hand him some money. He grabs it.
"Oh! Wait, what do you want to drink from here?"
"Oh no, I don't want any Starbucks."
"You sure?" I asked him to make sure.
"Yeah." Is all he says before he walks out of Starbucks. I turn back to Mark, shrugging. We both stand up and begin making the line.
"Where's Jackson?" I ask him. It's rare when I don't see them together. They are inseparable.
"He had a family thing." He brushes it off. We make it to the front and ordered some coffee. I was tempted to get Yugyeom something, just to be nice. It wouldn't work out though, because I didn't know what he liked.
Sitting back down, we waited for the drinks. Mark decided to ask questions to pass the time.
"What exactly happened?"
"Well, just like I told you they chased us down the street. When we made it to out apartment, they stayed outside patrolling. I asked Yugyeom what was happening, but he just couldn't tell me. I got pissed, went to sleep, and woke up to Yugyeom not even in the building. He does come back later, we both yell at each other, and sit there bored when we stop. So, we decided to sneak out the window to get here." I rant. Mark was trying to gather in all of the overwhelming information.
"Wow..." He dragged out. "And he's haven't told you why yet?" I shook my head. "Well, I'll guess we will find out now cause here he comes..."
In walks Yugyeom with bags of food. He sits down with us and sorts through the bags.
"If you didn't mind Bambam, I got something for Mark as well. I hope you like soup." He handed the container to Mark.
"Oh my god! Yes I love soup, pass it here." Mark grabs the container. "Thank you very much~"
I look around the store. "Is it ok to eat here?"
They looked at me and shrugged, continuing to dig in. I shake my head fondly, beginning to do the same as well. We just stay eating for a while, enjoying each other's company.
"So," Mark eased in. "What happened after we left you guys last night?"
Yugyeom tensed up. I (or rather, we) watched him very closely for any weird signs. I was actually curious if he was going to tell the trut-
"Nothing." He kept on eating. Mark looked at me and gestured towards Yugyeom. I shrugged at him and shook my head to make him drop it. He didn't take my advice and kept going.
"Really? Cause I heard yelling coming from the direction you two were leaving from."
I blushed at Mark's statement. "It kind of sounds weird when you put it that way, Mark..." Both of them looked at me confused before they registered what I had said.
"Bambam!" Mark slaps my arm, red in the face. Yugyeom was even redder but decided to stay silent.
"It wasn't like that Mark, so don't worry about it." Yugyeom attempts to save the conversation. "I'm just surprised you heard a yell after all since we were far from the karaoke place..." He sees straight out of Mark's lie. I mentally freak out as I see Mark pale a bit.
"Well," Mark began. "Must of been loud enough for us to hear. We also went back because... Jackson forgot his phon- I mean headphones!"
Yugyeom didn't seem convinced. "Like I said, don't worry about it."
"Too late cause Bambam told me eve-" I slapped Mark's arm. I can't believe he said that to Yugyeom's face! Now I'm in big trouble!
Yugyeom stares me down. His eyes sends out a hateful message, making me feel uncomfortable under his gaze. He sighs angrily, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Bambam, what did you say exactly?"
"Um," I gulped. "I just told him that we are trapped in the building cause those guys are standing outside, ya know, things like that."
"That's all?"
"Well..."
"Bambam!"
"I just told him some details! Chill!"
"So basically, you told him everything?! Why didn't you just say that in the beginning?!"
"Hey, I'm sorry to break this up, but I would like to know what's going on so I could possibly help you guys?" Mark stops our bickering. Yugyeom throws his utensils and angrily slouches in his seat, crossing his arms. I twiddled my utensils, embarrassed and annoyed at the situation. There was a small audience listening to our conversation. I cowered there, wishing that I could just disappear.
"Yugyeom, would you just explain so I could h-"
"There is nothing you can do to stop them!" Yugyeom blows up. "I've already tried getting rid of them but they keep coming back, they always do!" Now, there was really an audience. Yugyeom finally took notice and turned to the customers of Starbucks.
"Can't you guys just mind your own goddamn business?!" He yells, standing up and storming out of the shop. The room was silent. Mark and I were shocked at Yugyeom's behavior. We hurriedly cleaned up the table.
"You need to control your friend, Bambam." Mark muttered to me, annoyed at the outcome of the conversation. Once done with the table, Mark headed out to retrieve Yugyeom. So did I, grabbing the bags.
Yugyeom wasn't found anywhere inside the Mall. We checked outside, where we found him sitting on an empty bench. We headed over and surrounded him by sitting on the ends of the bench.
"Yugyeom," I started, careful not it trigger him. "I told Mark since I trust him and his judgement enough to deal with the situation. Sure, you have tried to get rid of them before, but that was by yourself. Maybe, this is just a thought, but if you had more help with it, it could possibly get solved. Three brains are better than one." Yugyeom looked up at me when I said that. "We can get through this together." I hold my fist up.
"I understand what you are saying Bambam, but I can't tell you the whole story." There he goes again. My spirit feels heavier, every time he says that. Am I not trusted enough with the truth?
"Why not?" Mark challenges.
"It's a sensitive topic." He replies back, monotoned.
Mark looked at me. He put up an expression that I've seen many time before. It was his 'sorry man, I tried' face. I nodded in understanding.
"We are always here if you want to talk about it." I pat Yugyeom's back. He stayed still, his eyes focus on the ground in front of him. We were all quiet.
Mark took this as an opportunity to go. "Hey guys, it's getting pretty late..."
"Oh yeah, we will be heading back. Thanks for meeting up with us Mark." Walking over, I hugged him. Yugyeom stood up and watched us as Mark hugged me back.
"Ok, I'll see you later. I got to go pick up Jackson; I'm his ride. Good luck." He referred to our situation. He turned to the other direction as he began to head over to his car.
"Bye!" I waved and Yugyeom stood behind me, mirroring my actions. Mark waved back, before he fully turned and walked away.
I faced Yugyeom. He looked distant.
"I'm sorry for the way I acted in the store. It's just-"
"Stop," I put my hand to his chest. "I understand why you did it. If I were in your shoes, I would have done the same thing."
He looked down at me, staring at my face. His eyes held a strong emotion in them. I couldn't figure out what emotion though.
"Thank you Bambam for being so understanding. I always take you for granted." His words make me blush.
This boy... What's with him making me feel like this?
"Uh- I, um..." I was at lost of words. A surge of emotions build up inside me when he chuckles and puts his arms around me, leading us to the way home. We strolled away, facing the sunset.
"You don't have to say anything. Just accept this moment~"
