Jaebum's Pov

It's been a while since I've seen Youngjae at that BBQ. A few weeks actually. At the end, it was awkward for us to separate. Neither of us wanted to leave the other. It was like we stood there face to face for the longest of time, wishing that their fun moment wouldn't end. Youngjae, of course, broke the awkwardness and ask me if I had any way of keeping in touch. Obviously, being the introvert I am, I said my phone. We did end up exchange numbers at the party, allowing us to communicate. Youngjae also teased about not having to be bound by phone and one day he would surprise me at the store. I nervously laughed it off, but I low-key inside wanted him to that so badly.

That night, we parted our ways and went back to our daily lives. My life at the moment was proving to be quite boring. Without Youngjae there to spice it up frequently, I realized how much of a bland guy I was. Opening up the store felt more annoying than usual. My eyes would always turn to glance at the door, in hopes to see that beautiful smile of his and just gracing my presence.

Okay, chill Jaebum.

But seriously, though, I wished for him to come back. But, I knew that he wouldn't because he always had something to do. I learned that he was a busy guy actually. Like for instance, right now he is in his language class. How did I know that exactly? Well, currently I was at my job texting him. And he so happens to be talking about his class.

A ding resonated from my phone. I picked it up and looked at the notification. Youngjae had texted me again.

yah! learning english is so hard >_<

I laughed at his little face he added on the end. He always has interesting and unique emojis whenever he texts. It's his quirk.

To: Youngjae
I bet it isn't that bad. It's good to learn a language

From: Youngjae
But, I wanna talk to you 😫

Jaebum blushed.

To: Youngjae
You are talking to me

From: Youngjae
You know what i mean!

Jaebum felt a tingling feeling fill up inside him. It amazed him that Youngjae wasn't here physically, and he still managed to make him feel fuzzy and warm.

To: Youngjae
Don't worry, we wil. But for now, you need to pay attention in class.

To: Youngjae

Jaebum chuckled.

Come on, tell me what are you learning?

We are learning about terms for relationships

Jaebum raised an eyebrow. Youngjae must be pretty good at English to learn at that level. You don't learn about fun specific subjects until you know the basics. It was interesting that he was far enough to reach this topic.

To: Youngjae
Oh, really?

Yeah, she thought it would be cute since it's Valentine's day lol

Like right now the teacher is talking about the word babe

To: Youngjae
Babe? What does that mean?

From: Youngjae
It's kinda like a pet name, i guess. It can also mean baby. The teacher says that they use either of those terms to refer to someone you want to take care of...

To: Youngjae
Ah? Really?

Yeah

Jaebum went to tap on Youngjae's contact. His phone dinged again, reminding him that Youngjae sent him another message. Before he replied, he wanted to do something real quick.

He tapped on Youngjae's name on his phone.

Jaebum blushed to himself before new notification popped up.

Hello? Are you still there?

Jaebum couldn't help but smile like an idiot.
