It was a rainy night, and I was walking with an umbrella along the sidewalk. I was texting Mark. He invited me to join him, his boyfriend Jackson, and JB to a karaoke joint. He bribed me in by saying it was "their treat". I couldn't resist.

To <Mark>
What's the address?

I press send and locked my screen. Looking around me, I noticed that it was a beautiful night out. The stars shown brighter than ever, the sound of the rain hitting against my umbrella, and the empty quiet street just stood out to me this evening.

My phone flashed, indicating that Mark texted me. But, the flash made my eye catch something. It lightened up the alley I was standing next too. In the alley, my eyes formed out a silhouette of a figure leaning against the wall. I panicked a bit, but gathered some courage to check it out. My mind was screaming at me.

Bambam! What are you doing! You know that situations like these in movies never go well!

Sure, I was aware of that, but I had a weird gut feeling about this. I needed to check it out, or I would be able to stop thinking about it. I put my phone in my pocket, and slowly shuffled towards the figure.

It was a teenager, or actually someone near my age, leaning against the wall. They were worn out. Bruises and cuts covered their body. They laid there limp, breathing faintly. I rush over to the boy's side.

"Hey, are you ok?" The boy doesn't answer. He just stares at me blankly. "Hey! Can you hear me? At least say something! Like your name for exa-"

"Y-Y-Yugyeom." He managed to mumble.

"Ok Yugyeom, are you any any condition to move?" I ask him. I put my arm on his shoulder, and he winces. He harshly pulled away.

"Don't touc-" We're the only things he could get out before he blacked out. I panicked for a bit, not knowing what to do. I pick him up and tried to balance him so I could support his body. I decided that I should at least bring him to my apartment, and then see what I can do from there.

Holding him and my umbrella was a difficult thing for me. You see, I'm not the strongest person, thanks to my lanky body. But, I somehow managed to make it there.

I got out my keys to unlock the door. Once inside, I shuffle and put Yugyeom on the couch. I looked at him now since I had a better view of him. His injuries were worst than I thought.

Poor guy... He only looks a few years younger than me as well.

I walk to my room and plopped myself on the bed. Sighing, I decided to tell Mark that I wouldn't make it to the karaoke joint.

Man! It was their treat too!

To <Mark>
Hey, I don't think I could make it. An emergency came up. Sorry :/

From <Mark>
Aw :/ well ok I'll tell them. Thank god we didn't arrive there yet lol

To <Mark>
Oh good. You won't believe what came up for me to miss this. I'll tell you tomorrow : )

From <Mark>
Alright then, see you tomorrow x :)

I turn off my phone and set it to charge on my bedside table. I laid down and yawned. I never realized how tiring it was to carry Yugyeom all the way to my apartment. Apparently, it was so tiring that I fell asleep right at this moment.

--

I was woken up by a yell in the living room. I sat up startled.

What is making tha- Yugyeom!

I totally forgot about the events from last night! I run into the room to see Yugyeom sitting up straight on the couch. He looked at me wide-eyed. He was freaking out.

"Who are you?!" He said in a panic.

"Yugyeom, please, calm d-"

"How do you know my name?!" He stood up. I was taken back at how tall he was. Yesterday, when I carried him he was limp. But now, seeing him in his full height was a bit intimidating.

"You told me it last night, at the alley. Do you remember?" I try to sound as calm as possible as an attempt to calm him down. It didn't work.

"I don't remember anything from last night! What happened?! Did you do anything to me?! You better have not!" He held up his fists as if he was ready to fight me. I hold up my hands.

"Woah, woah, woah! I didn't do anything I swear! Just give me some time to explain." My pleading seemed to have made him back down. He sat back and did a signal for me to speak while crossing his arms.

"Ok, so I was w-walking down the street and I passed by an alley. That is where I saw you, where you laid against the wall weakly. I rushed over to you to see that you had bruises and scratches." I pointed at his body. "I asked if you were ok, and I also asked what was your name. You gave me your name, but soon after that, you passed out. I decided to bring you to my apartment because it was the safest place I knew. Nothing happened, I swear! After laying you down on the couch, I went to sleep. I promise."

He looked at me skeptically. Sighing, he pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head.

"I just gonna believe you, because for some reason I feel like you are telling the truth. Don't take that for granted, though." He guard went up as fast as it went down. He stood up.

"I'm gonna go now." He walked up and left the room. I stood there dumbfounded.

That's was quick.

I was a bit deflated after that, not knowing the reason why. But, I guess I'm a bit glad that's done with.

---

"So you picked up an injured stranger and kept him at your place without thinking to call an ambulance." Jackson laughed at me and Mark hit his arm lightly as if to tell him to stop. "Sorry, I just can't believe this." He spun his ramen around.

We were getting lunch with Jaebum because it was his lunch break. We sat at a nearby restaurant and the three of them heard my story about last night.

"Well, I was tired and worried that I forgot to about the ambulance!" He laughed at me even more. "You're laughing now, but guess what happened this morning!"

"Wait, this morning?" Jaebum paused his eating.

"Yeah, Yugyeom was freaking out so much he was about to fight me!" Jackson couldn't take it anymore. He was dying of laughter. "I told him all about last night, then he took off without a goodbye."

"I just can't believe this happened while I was texting you." Mark shook his head.

"If it weren't for the flash of your text, I wouldn't have noticed him in the alley." I move my rice around. "Why did this happen to me?"

"I'm surprised that you even considered it not happening to you." Jaebum added, and Jackson started another round of laughter. I pouted. "You attract all sorts of bad luck."

"Not true! That lady last time was an accident I swear!" Jaebum chuckled at me.

"Yeah, and so was that cat?" He adds in another inside joke, smirking at me. They all laughed. I threw my chicken bone at them.

"Ok, ok! I get it." They all stop.

"Do you think he's gonna come back one day?" Mark asked. I sat and pondered on the idea.

"I honestly don't know. Anything can happen."
