Chapter Ninety-Four: Aradia

My eyes began to flutter open, my vision blurry for a few moments, until I realized what had happened to me. I shot up from my position, and cast my eyes around the room to see that I was in an abandoned theater. And there were five people standing around me. Four were male, and one a female in a prom dress. But I got the feeling that they were inhabited by demons.

"I'm inside your grapefruit, Sam," Sam's voice echoed through the room, as I noticed him standing in front of a mirror, talking to the real Sam. "You can't lie to me. I see it all. How odd you always felt. How...Out of place in that family of yours. And why shouldn't you have. They were forest care – at best. I'm your real family... It is. And I know you know it. All those times you ran away, you weren't running from them. You were running towards me," I woke up at the worst possible time, but the things he was saying about Sam. Could it be the truth? I mean he is inside of him now, and can see all his memories. "This doesn't have to be a bad thing, you know. I let Dean live, didn't I? I want him to live. I'll bring your folks back too. I want you to be happy, Sam," Lucifer was trying to bribe him into submission. I was frozen to the ground, I dared not move an inch, just in case I was next on Lucifer's list.

Lucifer scoffs, to himself. "Really? Not even a little payback?" I frowned at what he meant. "Look closely," he continued, turning half of his body to the demons standing in a circle. They were like statues in a rose garden. "None of these little devils look familiar to you?" He asks, as my eyes cast between the demons, as they must have been linked to Sam at one point in his life. "And that's your friend Dough from that time in East Lansing. And Rachel... Your prom date," Lucifer turned his attention back to the mirror. "Sam Winchester, this is your life," he extends both of his arms out. "Azazel's gang – watching you since you were a rugrat, jerking you around like a dog on a leash... I know how you feel about them... Me too. So, what do you say you and I blow off a little steam?" He pondered the question to Sam with a smirk.

"Sam!" I called out his name, as I had to do something, the devil knew I was awake, he was just jerking me around. "You have to fight! Fight him!" I shout to him, anything that could make him take control.

"Sam can't come to the phone right now," a smug tugged at the corners of Sam's lips, as he spun around to face. "Abigael," he longed out my name, as I forced myself to stand, and he walked my way. "The key to my cage, and to my heart," he fakes a pout, as if it was a romantic gesture. "What more could you want?" Once he was close enough, he raised his right hand up to my cheek, and caressed it. But I swatted his hand away from my cheek, but this just angeried him. Making him use his other hand, to grip the back of my hair, and pull me back. I went with such a force, I was nearly thrown off my feet. I yelped out in pain, clinging my hands onto his - trying to lessen his hold.

"You bastard!" I yelled through gritted teeth, as his grip on my hair just tightened.

"You ungrateful bitch! The lengths I went to, to make sure you were born!" His tone rose throughout his sentence. My eyes widened, as my eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "And I don't even get a thanks in return,"

"What?!" My voice was shaky, and barely got the word out. A devilish smile etched his face. "What are you talking about?!"

"It's time for you to learn the truth," he states, throwing back his hand with my hair still clung in his grasp. I was thrown with such force, I hit the steps going onto the small stage. And I hear a few bones crack on impact. "Oops my bad," he smiled, walking forward towards me, but he didn't mean it.I slowly turned on my back, using my left hand to grab across my right ribs. Sam crouches down, coming to my level, as we stare at one another intently. "You see, you come from a bloodline so old and so powerful. That their magic - your magic, is bound in something far greater..." I just listened to his words, words that could be a lie, but why would he lie about this? "So for my plan to work, I sent one of my most loyal demon out into the world to track down your kin. Surprise, surprise, who do they find?" He was being whimsical, and dramatic. "That's right, your Mother. A young gifted witch who was different from the others, her magic wild, and beautiful. Then one thing led to another, and you came. But no, you were different. A freak of nature, half-demon, half-witch," a smile etched itself onto his face, as tears threatened my eyes. "But you weren't ready. I needed the darkness to fester, to grow. For you to go down that path,"

"I started on that path because of something you had no control over!" I shouted at him, not wanting to listen to his lies anymore.

"You sure about that?" He questioned, a smirk tugging at his lips. The air became silent, as my mind reeled over the past three hundred years. "Just like Sammy, demons have been yanking on your chain for centuries. Heck, you were Azazel's little prodigy for a long time. He taught you everything you needed to know. That wasn't by accident-

"No, stop it! You're lying!" I yelled at Lucifer cutting him off, not wanting to believe that my life has been controlled since I found out I was a demon.

"Your path had been written long ago, alongside the Winchester's," I remained silent, my gaze drifting away from his, as I thought about all of my actions, all the things that led me to this moment. I noticed Sam lifted himself to stand up straight, but I never met him along the way up.

"So, you needed me to be all powerful, for me to do what? Be by your side?!" I asked wildly, as I forced my head up to look at him, tears threading my eyes.

"I wanted to make Aradia in my image, so that she would choose me and only me!" He raised his voice, as he thought back to when she chose Michael over him. "That's why I needed the most powerful bloodline, a demon counterpart and a bit of her grace. To concoct... You," he pointed his index finger at me, enjoying this a little too much.

The information was too much for me to process, my eyes shifted from him and my breathing quickened. My heart was going, tend to dozen, after finding out I'm just a cheap knockoff of a girl he loved. That I was born on the concept of Aradia, and he wanted her to be more dark like him. I could no longer keep the tears at bay, and they began to roll down my cheeks and I couldn't stop them.

"Do not cry, my sweet Aradia," he stares, and suddenly I was lifted to my feet by a strong force, coming to stand in front of Lucifer. "On the battlefield you will side with me," he places his hand back onto my cheek wiping away the tears that rolled down. "I will not lose you again," this wasn't love, it was toxic. Before I knew what was happening, Lucifer leaned down and planted a kiss on my lips. I was stunned, frozen to his touch as he held my cheek. Straight away I knew it wasn't Sam, his kiss was different. I snapped out of it rather quickly, and pushed Lucifer away from me. I was filled with so much anger about what I've just learned, I just snapped. I right hooked Sam in the face, but his head went to the side.

He turned back around, as if the punch did not phase him. He squinted his eyes for a mere moment before he pushed me on my chest, and I went flying with his push. I slammed into the back of the wall, and hit the ground in seconds, the wind knocked straight out of me.

"I don't think you want to watch this," he smirks, as I lifted my head up from the ground to see that smile of his. Lucifer began to punch the nearest demon, and he just took it. I twisted my head in the other direction after a few moments. I could hear blood splattering on the floor, and the walls. He was really getting all of his anger out on these five demons. It was like a nightmare, but this was reality...

........................................

It wasn't long until Lucifer finished his killing spree, and sat on the steps to the stage, and admired his work. He was covered in blood, but he didn't care. I was now sat up, leaning against the far wall, my mind reeling with the questions rattling inside of my head. Was my Mother's death orchestrated by Lucifer? Was everything I did since then planned out by him? Azazel? Lilith? Everything?

"You know, it doesn't have to be a bad thing," Sam's voice echoed in my ears, and for a split-second I thought it was truly him as I was lost in my own world. My eyes darted up from the floor, and made eye contact with him. "In the good old days, you used to burn down villages, and let no one tell you what to do. And I'm here offering it to you,"

"Only thing I want from you is to see you rot back in the cage!" I spat at him, clenching my fists so hard, that my knuckles turned blech white. He fakes a pout, and pretends to be sad about my response.

"You were made for this. So buck up and accept it!" He shot back at me, but I didn't believe it. When Gabriel told me about it, I didn't believe it then, and even now from Lucifer I still didn't believe it.

"Says the child who got mad at Daddy for creating something new," I mocked, and I seemed to have touched a nerve, though it was a subtle thing. I saw it. "And he's throwing a temper tantrum because his big bro thinks of him as a monster! And the woman he loved chose his brother over him! And in a lame attempt to try to recapture her love, he kills her, and sets out to create a knockoff. How lonely can one person get! No wonder she chose Miche-" I bellowed at him, but before I could speak Michael's name, my throat closed up, and I began to gasp for air. I began to clutch at my throat, hoping to inhale.

"You know nothing!" He roared back, and quickly stood to his feet, and I was too lifted up from the ground, and dangled inches from the floor as he held me in the choke hold. "You watched helplessly as your mother was hanged. Powerless to stop it. You hated the world, you wanted to watch it burn. That's the Aradia I want! The one I need... And if you will not give it to me willingly. Then, there are other methods to get you to comply," a wicked smile came to his face as I zoomed forward, and into his hold. His fingers wrapped around my throat, and he began to squeeze. I gasped for air but none came, and black dots soon came to my vision. The final thing I heard was the snap of bone, and then darkness...
