Chapter two
~Y/N POV~
Because I don't yet have a car, Namjoon took me to work but of course dropping of Minji with Momo and her son for a couple hours and then setting off to work.
The drive between Namjoon and I was quiet after Minji was dropped off. I didn't have anything to say and I was still upset by the mention of my brother. So instead of thinking about my brother I began to think about something else that made me much happier to think about. Yoongi.
I stare out the window of the car to think about him. To think about what he's doing right now, if he was looking up at the sky and we could see the same sun like we use to watch the sun raise in the mornings sometimes if we were out and about on the move. It brings back memories but guilt always comes to me when it comes to remembering how I just left him. I guess my brother and I are alike in more ways than one.
After several silent minutes Namjoon and I exited the car together and he walked fairly close beside me inside the glass doors to the building on the main street in the city. People constantly walking in and out. This is something I'm defiantly not use to.
Namjoon takes me hand without a word and pulls me along with him passed the front desks and towards the elevators. Pressing the button we waiting until it finally came. Stepping inside he pressed for floor number 34. My cousin kept his sights on the floor number changing on the top of the door until it finally came to a stop on the floor number and again he pulled me along with him to where we needed to go. I didn't know where to go so I allowed him to take me to wherever I needed to go.
That was until we came to a stop infront of a large single wooden door. Namjoon just stands there smiling down at me.
"Just call me when you're done and then we can go to lunch okay?" Namjoon
I nodded at him and his smile widen just to let go of my hand and knock on the door and then gives me a reassuring smile just as the door opens to reveal a man with light brown hair, smaller in height than Namjoon but taller than me. He was actually very handsome to look at.
The man looks at me and then to Namjoon and smiles widely, until his eyes disappeared.
"Ah, Namjoon. This must be Y/n right?"
Namjoon nods and I felt blush when the man smiles at me and I nervously look down at my feet but clasped my hands together when they started to shake out of nerves.
"Yes this is her but go easy on her Jimin. I'm serious." Namjoon
His voice deepens and he raises a brow at the man who laughs and slaps his chest.
"I will I promise. Y/n if you please?" Jimin
He stands to the side to allow me to come in. I glance at Namjoon for reassurance who gestures for me to go in with the move of his head and I nod walking in to the room passed Jimin and taking a seat in one of the chairs in front of what could only be his desk.
"Namjoon, honest I wont scare her now go away so I could start this interview." Jimin
I cracked at smile listening to him shoo away my cousin. I heard Namjoons soft scoff and a few more mumble of words before I heard the door close and Jimins light chuckle,
"Now I think I should properly introduce myself. My name is Park Jimin."
He comes to stand beside me by the chair with a hand stretched out to me. I quickly stood up and took his hand to shake it and bow just a little bit. Jimin giggles a little bit as we shook hands before I received my hand back and took a seat back in the chair.
"I can tell you're quite nervous but theres no need. I'm not as scary as Namjoon makes out to be." Jimin
I shifted on my chair and nod to him unsure of what to say. I didn't think I would be this nervous in an interview, it was very easy for me to get the job at the café compared to what I'm like here.
Jimin sits on his chair behind his desk and lean back comfortably.
"First I obliged to say that all interviews in whoever's office is always watched by the big man upstairs and no I'm not talking about god. See..."
He points up to the corner of the room and I look up to see a small camera drilled into the ceiling.
"Our boss, the big one who owns this fine establishment watches us." Jimin
"So he can see us right now?"
Jimin nods and widely grins.
"Yes he can see and hear everything. So next, since this isn't any normal interview I can say that you already have this job. I owe him a favour and I said I would help you out by hiring you as my assistant unless the big guy doesn't agree but if he doesn't then he will call at sometime during this time to let me know, okay?" Jimin
Again I nod and he again sits up in his chair and brings out some documents from a drawer in his desk.
"This is your contract and among other things that you will need to sign and look over but I do advise to read over it very carefully. You could take it home and bring it in tomorrow when you start your first day." Jimin
He slid the documents over to me and I took it from his desk to read over it quickly and set it down on my lap.
"Wait, so I start tomorrow?"
Jimin tilts his head to the side and raises a brow.
"Is that a problem for you?" Jimin
"Erm not really. It's just because I have a daughter and she doesn't start full time education until next week. I thought that's when I would be starting."
Jimin hums and rubs his finger along his bottom lip in thought and again leans back in his chair staring off at something in space.
"Do you not have her father to watch over her? I'm sorry Namjoon never mentioned this to me." Jimin
I shook my head and politely smiled at him.
"No, her father isn't around. I could ask my friend who she's with now. It's only for one week I suppose."
Jimins smile widens into a grin.
"That's perfect then. You can start tomorrow but if you have trouble finding someone to watch her then just bring her here. You'd be surprised with the amount of people that bring their kids to work in this building." Jimin
Oh, okay then.
"Lets do something to get to know each other shall we? We are going to be working together so we might as well, right?" Jimin
My hands were still shaking on my lap on the documents so I rub my hands together to get some more heat into them but I agree anyway.
"Okay we can do that."
"Good. I'll ask you something and then you can ask me what you want to know." Jimin
I giggled at his eagerness to play this kind of game that children would play.
"Well you go first then."
Jimin laughs throwing his head back before he claps his hands together and puts on a serious face all of a sudden.
"You said that Minjis father is not around so does that mean you are single?" Jimin
Blush rushed to my cheeks and my hands shook violently that I hide them in my jacket, leaning forward to hide them. The phone suddenly rings and I felt like I could be sick with nerves. What if this is the boss that is calling him to say he doesn't want me to work here?
Jimin groans with a roll of his eyes and picks up the phone to bring it to his ear but winks at me before he speaks.
"Mr Park speaking." Jimin
There was a pause in the air and Jimin stares down at his desk, losing his flirty side to reveal a face that reminded me of a scolded puppy.
"Why not? She's single, I'm single." Jimin
He whines into the phone and wipes his face with his hand groaning loudly. He must get on well with big boss for him to get away with acting like that.
"But...But......okay fine." Jimin
He huffed, slamming his phone down and crossing his arms over to then pout his lips.
"I'm sorry Y/n about my irrelevant question. You don't have to answer that and please forgive my childish behaviour." Jimin
He glares up to the camera and sticks his tongue out but then the phone rings again and Jimins eyes widen to look at the phone and then back to the camera.
"Okay, okay I'm sorry!! I'll quit it!" Jimin
The phone then stops ringing and I cant help but laugh at the situation. It was a pretty amusing interview I'll give him that and one that will forever be my favourite by far.
