Jeongguk was standing infront of his apartment looking dashing,His hair was as usual,parted in one side,with his lips a little more pink,maybe he applied a lip tint.He was dressed pretty cute, he was wearing a large yellow oversize hoodie with black skinny jeans.What was shocking that Jeongguk had this pretty bouquet of red blood roses in his one hand and other with a bag which looked like it was filled up with snacks.

"J-Jeongguk? What are you doing here at night? And what's with all of this....s-stuff...?" Taehyung asked him as he looked at him with his confused gaze.Jeongguk gave a him a Sweet smile.

"This is all for you....can I come in? ...please Taehyung?" Jeongguk asked for his permission gently.He doesn't wanna pressure Taehyung or make him feel strange...he just wants his friend back.Taehyung nodded as Jeongguk came inside.They both walked to the tv lounge as Jeongguk put the the bag full of snacks on table and faced Taehyung.

"These flowers are for you...I wanted to apologise.I knew you said we can't be friends since we won't be able to be away from eachother,I know we already tried it and we failed....I just don't want to live like that anymore Taehyung,you don't know how hard it was for me to live without you...All these years and now that we are again avoiding eachother because of our mistakes....I can't do it anymore,I can't help but to think about us......I-I miss you Taehyung" Jeongguk confessed to him.Taehyung looked at him without thinking what he was gonna say.

"Jeongguk......I understand what you are trying to say,I feel the same way but our feelings for eachother don't come at friendly level gguk.We can't stay as friends or we will fuck up,wait I don't know about you but I will fuck up.You have a boyfriend for fucks sake but-"

"Taehyung please...I miss you,please be friends with me,fuck Taehyung I don't think I can live like this,ignoring you my whole life,please Taehyung I know feelings can get involved but hey Atleast let's try...let me have this chance to be your bestfriend once again...I beg you" Jeongguk pleaded Taehyung so he can be his friend again.Taehyung knows he will just end up hurting himself,Jeongguk,the boy he is inlove with is begging him to stay friends with him,it won't end up well but he can't say no to this lover.He can't say no to that cute face of his.He can't watch him cry or even he sad because of him,Jeongguk doesn't deserve it.

"...fine,let's..be friends ,let's try again and let's hope to not get ruined again" Taehyung said as Jeongguk eyes light up.He took Taehyung hands in his and grinned.

"Can I hug you?" Jeongguk asked him and Ofcourse Taehyung can't say no so he passed him a smile and nodded.Soon his small body was being hugged by his friend,Jeongguk.Jeongguk wrapped his arms around his waist and hugged him,pulling him closer to him as he put his head on his shoulder.Taehyung didn't moved for a second as later on he put his arms around Jeongguk shoulders too,hugging him back.

Relaxing in eachother warmth. Taehyung felt a glint of happiness inside his chest,He was hugging his baby. He never knew a hug could make a person at ease this much but Jeongguk proved him otherwise. He liked it a lot and wished he could stay like the forever.

Jeongguk realised how much he missed taehyung,he realised he can't live without Taehyung,he need Taehyung in every aspect of his life.Jeongguk doesn't wanna let go of him and this time he is making sure of it.Just embracing Taehyung brings him so much joy.He wanna stay like this too.It has Been minutes since they have been hugging.

"Gukkie?"

"Hm?"

"Can we stop hugging now?"

"No"

"Ok"

They pulled away after some minutes after hugging for whole five minutes,they both sat down on the couch as Taehyung took the snacks and looked in.Jeongguk smiled as he looked at Taehyung,he didn't even realised how much he missed Taehyung.The older looked so cute with this small smile on his face,Jeongguk let out a chuckle.

"Why are you laughing?" Taehyung asked him.

"You are just too cute,I can't believe I stayed away from you for so many years"

"Yeah me too"

"I really like your hugs you know that's right,I really loved the feeling of being in your arms again hyung" Jeongguk told him sincerely.

"It's feels weird being called hyung after so long,you should call me that more" Taehyung suggested.

"Why? You have a hyung kink now?"

"Shut up you whore"

"Did I lie? You loved it when I called you hyung du-" Jeongguk was cut off by Taehyung screaming.

"Ahhhh shutup,that's the last thing I wanna talk about right now.Lets change the topic,how is Taehyun I guess? I mean are you guys serious or it's just...fun and games" Taehyung suggested since he really doesn't wanna talk about kinks with his bestfriend.

"I don't know about Taehyun but I know I am serious,I like Taehyun a lot,He is really sweet and caring ever since we have started to date,he has been nothing but a good boyfriend though I get annoyed sometimes when other guys from our school hit on him out of nowhere ,Taehyun doesn't mind it though he says he likes a little attention. He is still really cute,have you heard him sneeze? He has the cutest sneeze ever!" Jeongguk stopped for a second as he looked at Taehyung who gave him a strange look.Taehyung isn't gonna lie,it kinda hurt,Jeongguk claims to like Taehyung too but he never talked about Taehyung like that,he would admit he was jealous.

"You are weird gguk,seriously sneeze? I will tell this to Taehyun" Taehyung teased him.

"Noo~ He will think I am some creep who gets off at people sneezes" Taehyung almost cringed at that.

"Ew that's disgusting"

"Yeah I know,anyways....can I make a request?" Jeongguk asked him, Taehyung gave him an uneasy look and nodded.

"I know it's gonna be something I won't say yes to"

"Well,I think so? Ok then.....can I sleep over?"

"...." No reply,just silence.

"Taehyung?"

"Y-Yeah? No,absolutely n-no" Taehyung doesn't even know why he is stuttering,is it because he can't sleep in the same bed as Jeongguk without doing something crazy? Yes.

"Why not?"

"Just no"

"Please~~"

"No"

"Pleaseeee"

"I said no"

"Come one baby pleaseee" Jeongguk didn't even knew what he said until he noticed the Taehyung reaction.Who looked kind of flustered.Taehyung was cursing at himself for blushing like a teenager because his friend called him baby.

"...sorry I just said it without thinking"

"It's okay,I don't mind..it's whatever....I'm still not agreeing to that"

"Why not?"

"Does your parents even know you are meeting me again? Last time I remember I was a "bad gay" influence on you" Taehyung told him,Jeongguk rolled his eyes.

"They are not like that anymore....kind off.I mean ever since I have came out they are a little quite..but they still try to push me towards girls though which is sad"

"I still remember your mom giving me glares Whenever I went inside your room" Taehyung laughed at the memory.

"Just glares? My mom scolded me because we were too loud,I don't even blame her though,you were really loud" Jeongguk said playfully,Taehyung punched him on his arm.

"Shut up asshole,I really don't wanna talk about how your mom heard us fucking,please tell me you little brother and older sister wasn't home"

"I guess they weren't?"Jeongguk didn't sounded too sure.Taehyung face palmed.

"I feel bad for your siblings,I hope they weren't or they would have been traumatised,now this makes me miss your siblings,when can I meet them?"

"You are invited anytime,baby" Jeongguk emphasised "baby",trying to tease Taehyung.Who Just rolled his eyes.

"My sister really misses you though. when I left...in highschool,she begged me to call you once because according to her you looked dead,but as a highschool, teenager I was pretty stubborn so I never gave her importance and said it's good you are suffering because of me,I know it's very mean but I was Young and mad I didn't know what I was saying,I'm sorry I wish I listened to my sister and contact you once" Jeongguk tone changed to happy to sad one.

"Nah it's okay.I kind of deserved it for acting like a angsty teenager,I should have accepted while I had time but I didn't because I didn't wanna admit it,we both were stubborn,Atleast your sister used her brain and tried to put some sense into us,now I miss her more and also little Jeon too.Expect me at your house really soon.Cant wait to see your parents expression" Taehyung told him ,making Jeongguk chuckle.

"Come on,it won't be that bad"

"Jeongguk no"

"But I wanna cuddle with you" Jeongguk pouted while he was standing in front of Taehyung on his doorstep.Taehyung telling him to go home but Jeongguk wanna stay over.

"No,We even have school tomorrow and I also have a really important match tomorrow with the other school,so I need my sleep,If you stay over I will not be able" Taehyung told him,trying to tell him off.Jeongguk sighed.

"It's tomorrow the match ? You look relaxed?"

"Is it bad?"

"No,obviously not.Its just you used be so excited and nervous before and now you are okay" Jeongguk tried to make him understand his point.

"I don't feel the thrill anymore"

"That's very surprising to hear from you,anyways why are you participating in?" Jeongguk asked him.

"Relay and freestyle 100 meter I guess"

"100 meter? Damn.Why relay though?" He questioned.

"One of my swim teammates told me to come with them so I was like why not? Even coach insisted"

"Ofcourse you the best in our school with no doubt,they would beg for you to be in the relay,is Minho in it too?" Jeongguk asked him simply,making Taehyung look at him in suspicious gaze.Taehyung suddenly started to laugh.

"Oh my god Jeongguk seriously"

"What?" Jeongguk acted clueless.

"You still don't like him? Believe me he is really funny once you get to know him,you don't have to hate him" Taehyung said making Jeongguk give in.

"So is McDonald's joker but you don't see me being friends with him,he is a creep. He has been attached to you since freshman year of highschool and somehow ended up in same college as us. He also looks at you weirdly and touches you weirdly like get off dude. It's really creepy,believe me stop hanging out with him" Jeongguk was finally done with his explanation. Taehyung smiled and caressed Jeongguk cheeks.

"Baby,you know you sound delusional,which is why you should go home and sleep."

"Fine then bye" Jeongguk was gonna turn away and walk but instead he sighed and quickly hugged Taehyung,surprising the older.

"I am really glad we are friends again and I just wanna protect you so let me" Jeongguk said to him,Taehyung hugged him back nodded.Taehyung didn't know why but he felt himself getting emotional.

He wanted to cry if he was being honest.He lost a perfect boy like Jeongguk because of his stupid decisions and now it's too late to have him back.Jeongguk wasn't his anymore and he needs to accept that fact.He hugged him a little tightly,you never if it's your last one.Taehyung kissed Jeongguk neck and pulled away.

"Go home"

Taehyung didn't even know why he cried himself to sleep that night.

Another day,Another boring school day.Taehyung was standing inside the boys locker room at the moment,standing in front of his locker,changing his clothes into his swimming shorts since he has a much in less than fifteen minutes.He doesnt know why but he really isn't feeling anything but numbness at the moment.

Swimming is very serious for Taehyung,its not just a sport for him,its his whole life.He wants to be known for anything but his swimming,usually he feels excited,nervous and a determination to win but right now all Taehyung wants to do is hide in his bedroom.

Nowadays it really isn't Taehyung days.Even though he and Jeongguk are okay now,The older boy cant help but to feel regret,he regret his decisions and he wants Jeongguk back which it isn't possible.He knows that.He has this uneasy feelings inside his chest which is making him feel strange and uncomfortable.

And Today It got worse.

"freestyle 100m race.Participants please go to your position" The coach yelled as everyone started to assemble.

Taehyung was standing in his position,getting ready as the anchor went on and on.Taehyung held his uneasy feelings inside his chest and tried to concentrate.He looked around and saw everyone leaning in,he didn't even realised everyone was already on their mark.He quickly leaned too.

He gaze shifted towards the water,he felt like his head spin for a whole second,he squinted his eyes trying to focus.He looked around seeing bunch of people sitting as audience he tried to look around for some familiar faces and saw his friends.He saw Seokjin screaming and cheering for taehyung as Jimin and Hoseok were laughing at his silly actions meanwhile Jeongguk made an eye contact with Taehyung passing him a soft smile and a thumbs up.Taehyung managed to smile back despite feeling unwell.

He heard the whistle blew as bunch of splashes were heard,Taehyung dive into pool a little later than the other since he got too distracted.As soon as he got in water he started to move his hands in swift speed but he was unable too,he could move his hands but it felt like the water was pushing him back,the water was making him unable to move,unable to swim, This sensation in his body,this awful feeling called anxiety was growing,he felt anxious.

He felt like he was being trapped in water where he thought he felt the most free,that place is the one trapping him.He stopped moving slowly,he couldn't take it anymore.He felt himself go down and down.He felt unable to do anything,his head was spinning and his heart was aching.He didn't know why he was feeling so anxious and scared all of sudden.

So he did it. He stopped,in between the race,right in the middle of the pool.Insted of floating,he was standing on his feet with half of his body underwater while his head held down,his hair covering his face.He heard alot of Gasps and whispers,he felt more anxious.Kim Taehyung never ever lost a competition of swimming so it was a huge shock.The only thing the water was hiding now was his tears which were flowing from his eyes.He never felt this ruined before.His mental state wasnt same anymore.

The race was over,Taehyung got to the other side of the pool and got out he wiped his eyes multiple times and pulled himself up.He stood up and walked toward the boys shower room.Ignoring his friends calling him out.

He went inside the shower area and opened the tap of one of the showers as the cold water started to flow in fast pace.He felt the water running down from his hair to his body.He couldn't feel anymore,he dont know what to think about,he knows he wont be able to go into water anymore.He felt numb.

Taehyung heard the door open.He didnt even bother to look because he knows who it is,ofcourse it's the Jeon Jeongguk.

Jeongguk walked towards taehyung as he closed the tap of shower.Taehyung sighed as jeongguk turned him around and pinned him against the wall.

"what was that Taehyung? are you okay? why did you just stopped!?"

Taehyung didnt replied.

"I'm asking you something tae please answer me"

"nothing happened Jeongguk what you are talking about?" Taehyung pushed him away a little as he was too close.

"Taehyung,you stopped,you stopped swimming, everyone was hoping for you to win and you...stopped"

"I dont swim for people Jeongguk I swim for me"

"you know that's not what I meant....please tell me what is wrong,please just te-" He was cut off by Taehyung,who surprised him to his core.

"I want to quit swimming"

So so so sorry for late update since I wrote this whole chapter a lot of days ago but wattpad deleted it somehow and now I had to rewrite it.
Also the panic attack Taehyung had wasn't because of Jeongguk,he fell into slump.The main reason was stress,he took a lot of things to head and Jeongguk only had a little part to his attack.
And yes if any of you watched Free : eternal summer anime,I was inspired by the scene where Haru felt anxious while his match.
And last scene where Rin and Haru fought.
