"cover me in daisies"
"She smiled at me, and I felt a sudden burning tenderness for this creature so like fruit and roses. I desired her like blue water at dawn."
Renée Vivien
LITTLE paintings were birthed onto her sepia, brown skin, curving at the horizon's golden hem of soft cloth– which softened amidst the other pair of warm, sepia hands, tracing clouded canvases along her undraped back. Her spine was knotted, rimmed with knobs, like pieces of coiled chiffon ribbons, but let out some soft relief of an exchange, when her lover's fluttering fingers got swallowed in her wooly cardigan. Sunshine rolled down her lover's face, its tears staining their carved out sweet, dark umber skin, rumbling with warmth under her saccharine flesh. Their arms swam in golden filaments of eggshell capsules, painting their spines, circulating fringes of flushed dawn and sun-kissed daisies.
