" already expected that this wouldn't be easy, but damn I've never thought to be this really that very hard. My brain can only process the thank you."

Bryson complained while watching the instructional video Daisy gave to him three days ago. It was weekend and they were at her place taking their first ever one on one session of Bryson's class of learning the basic sign language. Daisy snickered to herself just by thinking that she was basically like his tutor.

Before they started, she showed Bryson how to signed the English alphabets using the hands. Fortunately, he was a quick learner and easily learned everything after a few tries.

"You'll eventually learn and use it. How about you ask some basic words and I'll show you how to sign it?" She typed on her phone and showed it to Bryson.

Both of them were sitting oppositely on the dining chair with her laptop and a few papers and notes scattered all over the top of the round dining table.

She was wearing a plain brown loose shirt with a 'risk taker' printed on it and black sweatpants. Her hair was fixed in a braid and a reading glass was sitting on top of her nose bridge.

Bryson just wore his casual attire of a black shirt that made his biceps and triceps prominent and paired it with faded jeans. Daisy refrained from checking out the guy, it was kind of rude and Bryson will probably call her out for it.

The guy runs his big hand through his hair and licked his bottom pouty lip whilst furrowing his eyebrows and watching the video intently.

"Fine. I'll just watch it at home," Bryson set aside the laptop and fully focus his attention on her.

"Hmm. . . How do you sign the basic greetings such as good morning and so on?"

Daisy showed him first the sign language for the good morning which Bryson copied the actions. When she saw that he was following correctly, she moved on to good afternoon, good evening, and included the goodnight.

"Wow, you make it effortless. Your movements were fluid and graceful. How did you even do that?" Daisy tried so hard to keep her feelings at bay because of the guy's compliment.

Was he supposed to study or what?

"You'll learn how to do it if you just FOCUS very hard," Daisy highlighted and caps-lock the word she was trying to insinuate that just make Bryson laughed after reading it.

"Right. I'm sorry I'd get distracted easily especially if my teacher was sent from heaven," the guy chaffed to her which she returned with a glare through her glasses. Bryson raised his hands in surrender as he tried to contain the mirth in his handsome face.

"Sorry. Focus. Yeah, Focus. So, how about, you're so beautiful I really want to date you?"

Daisy immediately conducted the sign language and wait for Bryson to process it in his distracted brain.

He was like a kid in kindergarten learning the alphabet. She finds it cute and just purely flattering considering that a guy like Bryson was supposed to have a 'fun' weekend hanging out or chilling with his friends but instead, he chose to come over and study the basic sign language.

There was nothing even fun doing it. Bryson was probably bored to death by now and just doesn't want to say it directly in her face, though his goofiness and additional teasing cover up all of her insecurities and doubtful thoughts.

I hope he's somewhat enjoying himself like she is.

'A guy like Bryson is hard to find nowadays.'

Her mom's voice echoed in her head and just by looking at Bryson's serious face with his stiff body movements. She could truly see why her mother said those words.

Bryson was like a pandora's box, arduously, full of mystery but still, you can't help, but to feel intrigued and absorbed because it was worth the challenged when you finally get a sight of what was inside.

"Ok, I got it now. Am I doing right? Or Am I'm just plainly looked like a guy being shot with the taser gun?"

Daisy chuckled and slightly shook her head because of the unnecessary thoughts. And here she was just reminding Bryson earlier to focus when she couldn't even do that to herself.

The guy repeated the action once again and she just nodded her head in agreement after seeing that he was doing it correctly.

"I only knew how to signed like 5 things but I could barely make it to the end."

"Why? Are you going to quit now? I didn't know you could easily give up Bry," she jibed, crossing her arms against her chest and arching one eyebrow.

"Hell no! I'm not a quitter just trying to point out my. . . forget it. Let's just continue," Daisy giggled in amusement because of the guy's defeated face, though it was kind of cruel since Bryson was obviously struggling to store in his brain all of the new pieces of information and pieces of knowledge he just learned just an hour by now.

She remembered being in the same tough situation when her tutor taught her for the first time.

"How do you sign, would you please go out with me?" The looked that Bryson was giving to her now were full of mischief. It makes her eyes formed into a slit.

The guy just stared at her with a smirk that made her heart went ballistic. Nonetheless, Daisy showed the same sign before crossing her arms over her chest.

Most of Bryson's questions were referring to only one topic.

Was he asking someone out? Then why did he want to do it in sign language? Is there another person that was like her? How infuriating.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Sure, Daisy wanted to teach Bryson about the other way to communicate with her, but if his reasons were because of some other female specimen then she was already losing the will.

Wait, why did it even affect her anyway if Bryson ends up going out with some other girl? So what? They were not into a romantic relationship. Just friends. Yeah, just friends.

"C'mon. Are you seriously giving me that 'I-know-you-did-something-wrong-but-I-won't-breathe-a-single-words-so-just-lose -your-shit-thinking-about-it looked?" Daisy rolled her eyes internally but let the poor guy free from his misery and typed her reply.

"I'm not looking at you that way. Where did you even get that? Let's just continue. We still have a long way to go. You're just in the beginner's stage."

"What!? Seriously? How many stages are there?" He complained which she answered with a reprimanding looked.

"Too many. Are we going to continue or not?" Bryson run his hands over his brown locks and dropped her phone on the table before nodding his head.

They continued their lesson for the last two hours. Bryson continuously throws some words or sentences that she collectedly translated into sign language.

The time hit eleven o'clock and Bryson's stomach started to growl, presumably because of their non-stop lesson and of course, most of his energy took his brain just by inputting all the data he had just learned.

"That's it for now. We'll continue it another time. Do you want to take lunch here? I'm cooking," Daisy slides her phone in front of Bryson on top of the table where he was currently watching again the video after he couldn't think of any questions anymore.

The guy's serious expression changed into something like a kid playing at the playground.

"Do you have to ask that? Of course, I'm having lunch here. I'd like to spend my whole day with you."

The feelings she was trying so hard to hide from showing up finally broke into a heartily smile. She was probably looked like an idiot right now, but she doesn't care. It was hard not to be happy just by hearing those words coming from the person that became very special to her.

Bryson's admittance brought her something she didn't feel before. A while ago, she was just wallowing, thinking about the probability of Bryson's asking someone out on a date, and now all of that dissolved into thin air.

"You're so fucking beautiful when you smile like that," Bryson suddenly commented. Looking at her with such intense eyes.

How is it that every time the guy dropped random words like that made her cheeks heat up? You could probably cook on it if that was even possible. But, how?

"Yea. Even better when you blush," Bryson's gazed at her was so piercing like he was trying to drown her into the very deepest part of his ocean inside his eyes.

Daisy could no longer take the embarrassment so she just stood up abruptly and walked over to her fridge to busied herself looking for some ingredients for their lunch.

Bryson's laughed bounced off at every corner of her kitchen and she pressed herself furthermore inside the fridge.

Could he just stop? I'm trying to keep my composure here. Daisy thought while acting unaffected and eyeing her potential meal for that day.

"What are you going to cook by the way? Do you want me to help you? Even if I'm not looked like it but truthfully I can fix something up."

Daisy opened the freezer and grabbed the chicken and about to put it on the sink, but jumped when she turned around and came face to face with Bryson's broad and muscular body.

He was so close it take her to breathe away and how did he move soundlessly from his previous position like some kind of a ninja she watches in the movie.

"Lemme take that. I'll be the one cooking our lunch, treat it as my way of thanking you for teaching me. Is Chicken Alfredo fine with you?" The vibration in Bryson's voice reverberated against her whole body because of their proximity and when he leaned down to take the chicken in her hands, she almost passed out due to the lack of oxygen.

The musky scent of Bryson a combination of mint and aftershave attacked her nostrils like it was building a camp and not having any plan of living anytime soon.

Seriously, what was happening to her? It was so very unladylike and if her mom saw her acting like this, she will most likely get a punishment.

"Hey, shorty. Are you alright?" Daisy steps back even though there was nothing available space behind her not unless she wanted the fridge to swallowed her whole.
How she wishes for that to happen just to escape the predicament she was in.

"You'd gone still all of a sudden. Let me just cook our lunch. I can handle it. You just rest now, I know you're spent because of our session."

Bryson's free hand caressed the top of her head before finally turning his back on her to put the chicken on the sink and run the water to clean it. After regaining her self-composure, Daisy grabbed the remaining ingredients inside the fridge and put it all on the counter before following Bryson's words.

She just decided to clean the messed up on her dining table and organize all the papers and notes in her binder then place it on her coffee table in her living room together with her laptop and hopefully will go back to the kitchen with a stoic face. Daisy just only wished Bryson didn't notice her strange behavior.
