Daisy woke up so early feeling vibrant and cozy. She even beat her alarm clock before it started ringing. The rising sunlight was peeking in the cleft of her window as she basked the warm glow, joining and rejoicing her for another hopeful and meaningful day.

The chirping of birds outside her chamber started singing and serenading her in a melodic sound.

What a wonderful day. Indeed.

Who wouldn't embrace it anyway? When you had a good reason to have a peaceful night and sleep. Daisy snuggled even more to her soft pillow, inhaling the pleasing smell of lavender and vanilla before arching her back to stretched her unexercised body and reduced the sleepiness that was trying to come back again.

After counting from one to ten, Daisy decided to start up her day with a steaming cup of tea and she had also planned to make a teabag of Jasmine for her friend.

Maybe it'll help lessen the annoyance Megan might be feeling for her because of the work she left behind yesterday. Daisy hopes her friend wasn't that mad.

Showering, brushing her teeth, and changing to her outfit which was a pastel-coloured blouse with ruffles on the collar and seams paired with high-waisted white jeans and doll shoes had never been fun for Daisy.

Before, she would mostly wake up because she has to, not because she wants to. But now there were so many things to look forward to and of course, she still couldn't forget about her problem, still, there's another time for that and Daisy want to enjoy her fulfilling life while it lasts.

A ringtone for messaging app caught her attention while she was sitting in front of her dressing table and putting some light makeup on her face. Checking it, Bryson's name popped up on the screen.

-Bryson★
Hi, baby good morning. See ya later kay?

She felt a little bit disappointed after reading it.

That's all? No, I miss you like he always included in his text or I hope you have a nice day to motivate her? Daisy stopped herself from acting like a spoiled child, it wasn't like her boyfriend was obligated to tell her those cheesy words every time he texted her and besides they're still going to meet at lunch.

After making the teabag for Megan, she securely placed the simple creation in a lightbulb-shaped small mason jar and put a simple and short note inside.

To top her effort, Daisy wrapped it up in a small paper bag then set it aside on the counter as she starts making her breakfast. Daisy has at least 45 minutes left before the opening of the shop and it'll only take her 15 minutes to get there on foot.

She was humming a song while frying some egg when the doorbell chimed in. She jumped slightly because of the sudden sound that bounced off in every corner of her small place.

Frowning because no one visits her at an early hour.

Daisy turned off the stove and checked the sudden visitor through the peephole of the door, seeing the person on the other side, she excitedly unlocked the doorknob.

"Hi, baby. You looked so fucking beautiful. Miss me?" Bryson's toothy smile greeted her. He was wearing a plain white shirt partnered with a black leathered jacket and black denim jeans paired with black combat boots that complement the 'bad boy' look.

He was oozing of charisma that she bet, girls of all ages were flocking at him like bees in a hive.

Daisy only gaped at how deadly, but handsome he was. A mouth-watering sight and a breath of fresh air. Bryson's also smelt like mint and aftershave.

"Can I come in?" Daisy snapped out of her dazed state and timidly ushered her boyfriend inside. She walked back to her kitchen, Bryson's footsteps following her behind.

"Are you cooking? It smells so good."

She just only nodded her head and went back to her cooking. Daisy cooked another batch of scrambled eggs, slices of bacon, and toast the bread. If only she knew that Bryson would come over, she should prepare something more extravagant.

"I miss you shorty," Daisy stopped from frying the bacon when she saw thick, bulgy, and veiny arms sneaking up on her waist and a hoarse voice with minty breathe of Bryson fanned the right side of her face.

His mouth was so close to her earlobes that made her want to scurry back to her mattress and hide the blooming red roses on her cheeks and a dithered sensation that nestled in her body.

Intoxicating and very dangerous to her heart.

"From now on, I'll be joining you on breakfast 'kay?" Bryson whispered before swiftly kissing her earlobe. Daisy felt like she was about to blow up from the pool of heat that billowing her like a cabin fever— spreading in her system especially in her lower part region. It makes her bit down her lower lip and takes a deep calming breath.

Thankfully, Bryson leaves her alone to finish her task after seeing her nodding her head hastily.

Why is she acting like this so early in the morning? And why is Bryson more touchy? Is this how a relationship works all the time? Daisy doesn't know if she could still handle such foreign feelings— it's so supervenient and it'll make her dissipate like vapour anytime soon.

Whilst Daisy was placing the foods on the dining table, Bryson situated on the dining chair and reached out a single stem of red carnation to her.

"I plan to give you flowers every day too. And I—," the guy paused and scratched his eyebrows. She just stared at him—trying to find some flaws to point out in case her feelings became too much and she needs a reason to diminish them.

But, nothing came out of her mind. Just the intense looked of Bryson while he's trying to convey the next words and looking at her profoundly.

"It means. Admiration and. . . My heartache for you. . . I don't know if it true but Uhm. . . hope you like it," she wholehearted accepts the little present and inhaled the fresh and honey fragrance.

Daisy never knew what is a mind-boggling feeling— she only read what it feels like in her fantasy and romance books, only saw it being portrayed in the movie and only heard how warbled it is in the form of music. Not until, this very moment.

Is this how to feel contented? What are these feelings anyway? Is it too much? Is it too early?

"Thank you. I love it."

They both exchanged a dulcet smile and swam in each other's pool of entrancement not until the shrilling sound of boiling water in a kettle broke the moment.

Both of them enjoyed their breakfast together for the first time and in comfortable silence.

If she's to going wake up every day having this kind of morning groove, then she'll gladly welcome the future with open arms.

"I'll see you at lunch kay? Just text me if you need something and anything."

Daisy unbuckled the passenger's seatbelt after Bryson parked the car in front of the shop. From the windshield, she can saw Megan started setting up the display outside. She wants to hurry up and help her friend but, also doesn't want to leave Bryson's side.

Daisy thought if she's being too clingy and her boyfriend might get annoyed or irritated if she acts like a love-deprived person especially since they only started their relationship yesterday. So she controls herself like how her boyfriend did all the time.

"You should go now, babe. Megan might chop my head off if I stall you any longer," Bryson chuckled in amusement whilst looking in front. Megan was now standing, both hands on either hip and looking at them with narrowed eyes, though the vehicle was tinted, Daisy felt like she was being shot with a laser beam.

She was about to steps out after signing Bryson a timid 'Bye and Thank you when he snatched her left arm, pulled her in gently then cupped her face with both big and callous hands.

The guy planted a kiss on her forehead then moved his lips at the right side of her bottom lip—specifically to her beauty mark. But still, so close to the actual part of her body that itching and bewailing for something warm, soft and plump— preferably like Bryson's lips.

Daisy blushed profusely just by having that kind of thought in her head.

"Bye, my adorable shorty."

She abruptly opened the door and jumped outside, Bryson's soft chuckled reverberated in her reddish ears when she didn't close the door and just hurriedly padded inside the shop. Hiding her blushing cheeks by covering them using her long and wavy locks of strawberry blonde.

"I see your true colours shining through—," Megan greeted her in a singsong voice, giving her a wolfish grin.

"Hmm. . . I should have made a bet with Bryson if you are going to come back here looking like being smothered into oblivion or looked like someone carrying the world on her shoulder."

Daisy didn't stop walking and just went directly to the storage room.

"So? I'm all ears. . . I mean, I'm all me? Never mind. Tell me what happened yesterday."

Megan is leaning on the doorjamb, waiting for her to finish tying up in a knot the apron on her torso. Daisy gets the paper bag inside her bag first before closing her locker.

"What's this? Is this the invitation to your wedding? Bae. You didn't even consult me for any opinion," her friend dramatically said while opening the present as she just walked past her to go to the front. Getting the rag in the hutch and started wiping the marble counter.

"Oh my gosh. Seriously Bae? What is this supposed to mean? Are you leaving me now? Why did you write up, I'm sorry for the inconvenience and my incompetency yesterday and I understand if you are upset with me. Thank you for being kind to me all the time. I hope you like my peace offering. Oh, Bae. I'm not upset or mad at you okay? I'm honestly thankful that Bryson took you to who knows where he brought you and bring you back, looking like this," Megan momentarily hugged her then gently pushed her body away, hands on both of her shoulders and eyeing her from head to toe.

"Looking more happy and glowing like I had never seen you before. It's okay. I got covered everything up yesterday so you don't have to worry about it yeah? Just don't hesitate to share whatever that is bothering you, if you have a problem, I'm always here. Remember? Gosh. You're making me cry. It's too early and my make-up will ruin."

Daisy wiped the tears that started making their presence known on her cheeks while Megan fanned her face with her hands, looking up as to keep the unshed tears in her eyes to fall.

Why is she being so emotional all of a sudden? It just, knowing that your only close friend wasn't mad at you is like a weight is being lifted from your chest. Even though, Daisy is happy being with Bryson, it's still different when it comes to her first friend.

She won't exchange their friendship for the world and she will cherish the amity for the rest of her life.

"Gosh. We're so freaking overdramatic. We aren't filming a soap opera and this is not a drama. Why are you such a sweet person? If only I was born a guy, I would steal you from Bryson. Like right here right now. He's not that good actually, can I just adopt you or something and then we can live somewhere like in the Bermuda triangle or the Sahara desert. We don't need boys or whoever it is with walking sword. What do you say?" Daisy chuckled because of her friend's rambling and hilariousness but she was smiling like the one her mother's favourite but this time it was genuine and not fake.

"Geez. Just tell me the whole story about what happened yesterday 'kay? And oh. . . Wow. That's a freaking beautiful necklace. Did your man give that to you? Wow, it also looks pricey. He's loaded for sure."

Daisy discreetly touched her lei with newfound memories surfacing in her mind. She nodded her head and started telling her all about what transpired yesterday. Starting from the time Bryson brought her to their secret place then up to when he invited her for dinner at his home.

Megan half-listened and half-squealed the whole time so, she needs to pause every 5 minutes and wait for Megan to calmed down. After her signing-telling or whatever you called it, her friend's lips curved into a furtive smile like he already knew and expected something like that would happen but, wanted her to narrate through her way.

By the time they both composed themselves, Megan hugged her again before they decided to separate from each other because of the arrival of their first customer.

"I can't still believe that as-. . . son of her mother has a romantic bone in his body. Like isn't he looked like someone that will beat you up just by looking at his eyes or if you bump him in the street while he's munching a donut?" Daisy stared at Megan whilst she continuously muttered something incoherent.

"Oh speaking of the devil and he shall appear. I'm still regretting not making a bet."

She looked up in front when the doorbell's jingled followed by the dramatic entrance of her boyfriend. Yes, very showy. Bryson whisked his free hand through his brown hair that was slightly shaved on both sides. Tousling it like he just woke up but still managed to look good and handsome.

"Hi, Megan. Hi Baby," Bryson greeted—kissing the top of her head while smiling that reached his ocean blue eyes.

"At this moment, I wish I have someone to pamper me. Do you have a friend Bryson? A male specimen with dark skin tone."

Both of them looked at Megan while she just shrugged her shoulder and eyed the paper bag in Bryson's hand.

"What? I like someone with two D. Dark skin tone and big D."

"Dude. Keep your fantasies to yourself," Bryson butted in. Setting up the food he brought on the counter and in front of her. Daisy just looked at them quizzically.

"It will not be a fantasy lover boy, just wait and see. I'll find myself a man."

"Well, actually I have one friend. Exactly like your preferences. Do you have any standard or quality shit something?"

"Nah. Is he big?"

"What? How the hell I would know that."

"Dude I'm talking about the body. Like is he macho? I know already the other part is big."

"I d-,"Bryson bit his tongue when she tagged the seam of his leather jacket. Megan and her boyfriend stopped talking and both averted their attention to her.

"What is big D?" Daisy signed curiously and innocently.

"F—.. It's nothing baby. Megan was just being senseless. How about you eat your lunch now yeah?" Bryson opens the styrofoam with mac n cheese and of course, her favourite nuggets then gave her the plastic spoon and fork.

"How dare you dude. I'm not senseless. But, yeah. Bae, stop thinking about it 'kay? You're still a baby and baby shouldn't be exposed in the dark side of the world. . . yet."

Daisy pouted because of that term. She's not a baby, she's turning 18 next week. Meaning, just a matter of days before she could finally announce and call herself an adult.

"By the way, are you closing at six again?" Bryson asked.

The three of them eat their share of foods. Megan was ecstatic that Bryson finally started giving her food, she also reminded her not to let the guy go as they wouldn't have someone to buy their food every day.

"Depends. If we're short of the customer, we can close up before six."

"Got it. I'll be here before six. I'm taking shorty somewhere."

Daisy slurped her coconut juice to chugged down the piece of nuggets that stuck in her throat before signing her reply.

"Where are you taking me?"

Megan stopped chewing and drink her juice too before speaking, "Yeah. Where are you taking her huh? Don't tell me you're going to a fancy and luxurious Motel," she arched one brow.

"What? Why would I take her there? And no. I'm not. Stop thinking maliciously. Shorty, I want to have dinner with you at my favourite diner. The one I had mentioned before."

She just only nodded her head in reply and continued eating her foods.

"You're so defensive. I'm just wondering okay? To be honest, I'm proud of you and it's good to know that you're doing a great job on your daddy's role," Megan chimed in, still eating her foods like she had been deprived of it for a month.

Her friend must love eating.

"I'm just doing what I can do to make my baby's happy," Bryson said rather proudly with his signature toothy smile.

"Wow. So you're really into that ddlg kink? You don't even comment or argue my daddy's role statement," Megan grinned like a Cheshire cat while Bryson just furrowed his thick eyebrows. Trying to look serious, but Daisy noticed the movement of his Adam's apple and the sideway glances he was throwing in her direction.

Why were they keep talking about daddy? Does Bryson want to be her daddy? Isn't that weird?

He is her boyfriend not her father. Daisy put down her utensils and looked at Megan and Bryson with questioning eyes. She wanted to know what they were talking about and not let her in the dark.

Yeah, she probably wouldn't be able to understand it, but she was still in the right position to be included in their conversation since she was part of the topic.

"Keep your words to yourself, Megan. Shorty, don't overthink about it and don't look at me like that," he said defensively.

Megan started laughing hysterically while watching the scene unfold in front of her. Daisy keeps on staring at Bryson, eager to know every meaning behind those strange words.

"Baby finish your lunch now okay? It's not something important," Bryson softened his voice and started feeding her. Of course, she obliged since it's rude to refuse the food.

"Gosh. I can't wait until Bae learns all about kinky shit stuff," Megan said eyeing for her reaction.

Bryson fed her nonstop until nothing was left in the styrofoam.

If they won't tell her anything that will kill her curiosity then she only has to find it out by herself.
