3. Highschool Part 1

FIRST THINGS FIRST:
You all need to try a peanut butter and honey sandwich! You need two pieces of bread, I prefer wheat for it. You'll spread some peanut butter on both pieces, not too thick but cover the bread and then put some honey on top of one piece and put them together. Make sure to eat it with your favorite drink because it can be a little dry but it's Amazing! And delicious! Let me know what you think!

"Alec, what is taking you so long?" Jace yelled into his phone.

Alec yanked the phone away from his ear. Jace was not a quiet drunk. "I'm almost there."

"Well, hurry. Clary is making out with that loser nerd." Jace slurred.

"Isn't Simon one of your friends?" Alec asked as he stopped at a red light. He should have just gone with Jace an hour ago. There was so much traffic it was driving him crazy and he hated driving.

"Not when he's kissing my girlfriend," Jace demanded and Alec cringed when he heard another can pop open.

"Why don't you take it easy on the drinks, Jace? We have a game tomorrow." Alec said but knew that Jace wouldn't slow down.

"He's kissing her! She laughed and touched his arm!" Jace shouted over the music. "She's supposed to be mine."

"Well then maybe you shouldn't have pissed her off." Alec rolled his eyes. Jace had it so easy and had no idea.

"I didn't do anything!" Jace declared and crushed the now empty can against something hard. "Sorry, Tommy."

"Did you just crush your can on Tommy?" Alec asked and chuckled. He hated that dick.

"He's sleeping now. It's okay." Jace slurred more.

"Good. Now come outside. I just pulled up." Alec hung up the phone when he saw Jace saunter towards him. He tripped and sat down, hard. Alec groaned. Jace wasn't going to make it easy, was he? Sometimes Alec was jealous that Jace could forget his problems and let go of control but he knew it would be impossible for him.

He parked the car and hopped out. He locked the doors and jogged up to Jace. "Come on, big guy. Time to get you home." Alec tried to lift him up but Jace flopped down on his back so it was impossible.

"Having trouble, jock strap?" A voice cut through all of the other sounds around them.

Alec looked up to see Magnus standing over them with his hands on his hips. His eyes were surrounded with eyeliner and silver glitter was on the top of his eyes.

"Not as much as you, Drama Queen." Alec glared. "Why don't you go put on some more make up or something?"

"And why don't you finish taking out the trash." Magnus kicked an empty cup at them.

"Ass." Alec muttered.

"Bitch." Magnus spun on his heel and walked back into the party.

"I'm gonna be sick." Jace rolled over and threw up on Alec's boots.

"Dammit, Jace!" Alec jumped up and kicked off his boots. "Stay right here."

"Okay." Jace wiped his face on the grass.

Alec picked up his boots and carried them to the side of the house where he knew was a hose. He turned it on and sprayed down his boots. Once he deemed them clean enough he grabbed a trash bag from the little box full of random things outside and put his boots inside. He saw Magnus laughing with a group of guys and girls and he felt a pang. He missed that side of Magnus, but there was no way to go back. They had made the choice together that it was just too hard.

Magnus looked out and saw Alec. He wanted to smile, but instead he rolled his eyes and grabbed Clary's arm. "This is the best song! Dance with me!"

"Yes!" Clary beamed up at him and let him pull her to the dance floor.

"What happened with Herondale?" Magnus shouted over the music.

"He's an idiot!" Clary shouted back.

"We already knew that!" Magnus yelled and spun her in a circle.

"Yes, but he actually had the nerve to ask me to give up art to follow him to College." Clary shook her head. "Selfish asshole. Men are assholes!"

"Ouch!" Magnus laughed and clutched his chest. He grabbed her hand and pulled her outside so it wasn't so loud.

"Come on, not you. If you were my type I'd so be on you." Clary kissed his cheek.

"Darling, you're not my type either." Magnus smiled.

"And I hate myself for it every day." Clary joked.

"Now, back to Jace. Didn't you get into a bunch of colleges?" Magnus asked.

"Yeah, so?"

"Didn't he only get into the two?"

"Yeah, but one is in New York by the Art School I want to go to."

"Yes, but he doesn't have that much money."

"He has a partial scholarship."

"That won't cover much. I'm sorry to say this darling, but you're the one who's wrong right now." Magnus admitted.

"No way!" Clary shook her head. "Well, maybe..."

"Exactly." Magnus gave her shoulder a squeeze. "Why don't you go talk to him?"

"Fine." Clary hugged Magnus. "Thank you. Oh and can you tell Simon that he is relieved of his best friend duty and can go meet Izzy?"

"Of course, little biscuit." Magnus watched her go to her car and then went inside. "Simon, you want a ride out of here?"

"Hell yes!" Simon practically tackled a couple of people as he tried to get to the door. "My band has a gig in an hour and I'm supposed to bring Izzy."

"Well, then let's go." Magnus followed him to his car which thankfully wasn't trappedby any other cars.

"I knew you could talk some sense into her." Simon clapped his hands. "And now I'm free once more!"

"She's an easy one to talk to." Magnus shrugged. "Is that really what you're wearing to your gig?"

"Yeah." Simon looked down at his panda shirt. "You don't like it?"

"No, but I'm sure Izzy will." Magnus smiled.

"Hey, I saw you talking to Alec. What was that about?" Simon asked nonchalantly.

"Oh, just the normal trash talk."

"I can't believe you used to be so close and now you can't even make it through a party without fighting. What happened?"

"You know the story. You were there even."

"Yeah, but you never talk about it."

"Because I don't want to. He's a stupid boy and we're not friends anymore. That's it. About Izzy."

"Yeah?"

"Have you kissed her yet?"

"No, but hopefully tonight. You're coming right?"

"I wish I could." Magnus pulled into the Lightwood's driveway.

"Why can't you?"

"I have work."

"That sucks. Thanks for the ride."

"Anytime. Good luck tonight!"

"Get out of my way, Glitter Freak!" Alec shouted at Magnus whose car was blocking his spot.

"Looks like you've taken too many balls to the head, I can't get out until you move!"

"Whatever, go!" Alec yanked the car into reverse and backed out of the way.

"Shut the hell up, Lightwood!"

"Both of you shut up!" Jace covered his throbbing ears.

A/N Oh no! What do you think happened between them? Will they be able to fix it? How? Hope you're enjoying this as much as I'm enjoying writing it! There will be one more part or a couple, we'll see how it goes. Don't hate me.... Well maybe you can just a little...
