A beautiful book I highly recommend.

What Seraphina is saying here (and actually has to do a lot with the plot of the book) is that regardless of what we are or who we are, we have in us dark things and good things.

We've all done bad things. It's part of what makes us human. We can't deny these things. If added all up, truly, we are all monsters.

But there is also the good things. No one is completely perfect. No one is even close. But we all do good things, sometimes large, sometimes small.

It's what puts it together that makes it beautiful.
