There are many who say art is a connection to the soul. I, personally, heartily agree with this statement, but I tend to be an artsy person. And not just visual art--musical arts, performance arts, everything!

Today, all I ask, even if you aren't an artsy person, to believe in its power and capability to change a moment, a life, maybe even the world.

This week, my acting troupe and I are working with an artist who has transformed entire communities through plays. It is a truly astonishing thing. But when I think about it, art is the essence of emotions.

So its power of transformation really isn't surprising at all.
